&lt;p&gt;I&#39;d trust Krisp more precisely because of the scale you pointed out, holding a 4.7 across 1,599 reviews is a much stronger signal than a 5.0 from 3 reviewers, since a small sample just hasn&#39;t hit the range of home environments, hardware setups, and edge-case noises that would reveal real weaknesses. The smaller tools might genuinely be as good, but there&#39;s no way to know that yet, while Krisp&#39;s rating has already survived enough real-world variation to mean something.&lt;/p&gt;
