## About Qnect
Structural designs are often pulled from the structural engineer's desk before they are completed. This phenomenon often results in high volumes of RFIs and change orders which cause schedule and cost overruns, and excess embodied carbon. Project teams have tried to mitigate these challenges in different ways, from in-house solutions, to new project delivery methodologies, to team collaboration tools. But none of these options address the root cause of the problem: Structural engineers need to predict the risk areas in their structural designs earlier, and this includes the impact of connection design. Qnect takes the bulk of the connections, automates the engineering, and automates the modeling of connections into the 3D model. Adding connection engineering to structural designs early on brings greater cost and schedule certainty to steel projects, while reducing embodied carbon.
