I also like how I can organize the proposals into folders and re-use a "Library" of images that I have curated over time. I love the tracking too. In addition, I can verify that my prospect has opened up the proposal and how long they viewed it. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** Bit of a learning curve, but it is worth it. The one thing I don't like is when I copy and paste from another source (such as a Word doc) the system adds random spaces between some words. I have to go in and backspace them out manually. I also would like shortened links to send directly to my prospects when I don't send them through the platform. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** There is a bit of a learning curve, but well worth it. My recommendation is to do it right the first time. Stay organized by creating folders. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease of use all around. For instance, I often take 50% up front to begin a project so it would be great if the second invoice was immediately created to be sent in the future when the project goals are met. It should add up as you go and just show automatically. It makes it really clear once you've won the deal and the terms of the dealer all there. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** Once you've won the deal and you sending them an invoice I like to be able to indicate a link to the signed proposal. Do you know the one that they click to accept? System doesn't let you send them a link to the signed proposal. Do you have a PDF but that's not signed. It really would be great to be able to send a link or attach a link related to the signed and excepted proposal. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** The mobile app is kind of clunky and slow I can't seem to get dashboard use what I'm really looking for. So it's kind of useless for me. I do like the overall system think it's the best out there I have a wish list though. Including being able to put on the invoice that I send a link to the signed document that resides in the cloud at Proposify **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Are usually get verbal approval on total budget or email approval of budgetary quote before I do a proposal five. But the Proposify seals the deal with all the specific terms and conditions. It offered us templated customizability. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** The concept is great but the software itself is very imperfect. My team spends nearly as much time navigating a glitchy UI as they do writing. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** It's too buggy for the price you pay **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** Here are some common bugs/issues we encounter: - You can not create a draft proposal without first entering ALL the contact information for your lead, which creates headaches and a need for a ton of placeholder accounts because you NEED to have the email address to set up a customer profile, even if the sales team only has a phone number. You can not enter your own email address as a placeholder if that email address is already used in a different profile. If you opt to just use a placeholder account, all the variables on the proposal will be broken. - The new pricing tables are very difficult to use and are not intuitive. I wish they integrated with google sheets or allowed you to simply import an excel table. Currently, the prompt to choose between the old and new tables is broken. If you choose "no thanks, I'd rather stick with the old one", it just sends you back to the screen to update the table to the new version with no way out. - The standard contracts are laced with errors. I understand they are not a legal service, but for the price you pay, sample contracts should be looked over by an attorney for basic errors. For example, one of the contract templates we used would continuously reference "Exhibit A's" that have never been established. - Also on contracts: some variables update throughout the proposal, but do not update in the contract portion--for example, the variables with your company name and your client's name will update throughout the contract, but the state you operate in does not. So I have sample contracts that continuously refer to a preference to litigate in NY state when our business is headquartered in Florida. This could easily be made a variable. These are things I can manually update, but we purchased this software to alleviate manual tasks like this. I find myself fine-tooth combing every output. -Sometimes early in the sales process, a client will want to see a proposal with multiple plans or pricing options to choose from, and we would like to have those plans outlined under one proposal. There is no good way to do this because the proposal still shows one set price on the signature screen, even if multiple prices are referenced. -When sending a proposal, you must cc the principal contact that you have on file from the organization, even when sending the proposal to a member of the sales team. You can't remove the principal contact without first updating the client settings, then going back to the proposal, but if you do this, it breaks the signature portion or reassigns the signature portion to the person you've uploaded as a replacement. We have not found a good workaround for this and instead, opt to just cc everyone, even though that sometimes creates confusion. -If you temporarily delete a section of your proposal, there is no option to bring that section back in during a later edit. E.G. if I want to hide the team page on the first round of the proposal before the client agrees on the scope of services, we can not go and add the team page layout back in without creating an entirely new proposal or layout from scratch. -Page breaks are very wonky and the text editor is also glitchy **Official Response from Nadia Milani:** > Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your review! The time you invest to set up will help show more professionalism to prospective clients. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** There tend to be UI issues as it is done in-browser. At times there are server issues and this can be frustrating as you are writing in specific deliverables of custom areas of a proposal only to lose them and be prompted to refresh. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** 4 Color dynamic proposals that can look very customized while be templated. Getting feedback analytics on when and what a client looks at, how long and if they download the PDF. Also the digital contract signature is nice. ### 17. I love that it creates the deal automatically and sends it over to HubSpot. This saves me from having to download and then upload copies of the contracts to the CRM. I also like all of the notifications that you receive when you have someone looking at your proposal. **What do you dislike about Proposify?** The thing I dislike the most is some of the formatting issues that you run into when copying and pasting a proposal from a word document into Proposify. I have had times where a lawyer has drawn up our contract with all of the sub-paragraphs or indentation and that all gets messed up when trying to copy and paste. **Recommendations to others considering Proposify:** I have enjoyed it and one perk is that if you use Zapier you can connect your notifications about a closed deal to Slack and everyone in the company can celebrate together when a deal is won! **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We solve a couple of main problems. The first is that we are decentralizing the proposal and contract process. Rather than having everything flow through one person we are creating the library of templates and contracts and allowing proposals to be sent out quickly. Secondly, we are solving the issue of having to organize and keep copies of all our contracts. We know that everything is in one place and not scattered across the emails and hard drives of our team members. ### 19. Integration with Salesforce isn't as good as it should be, it constantly logs you out and when you click a link to open a specific proposify page (from email or something) it makes you log back in and then forgets what the link was that you originally clicked, so you have to manually search it or go back to the email and click. thelink again, now that you're logged in. There's a lot of other issues too. It just comes off as a new software that's still in beta. **What problems is Proposify solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to have to write our proposals manually. We used Trello and it was clunky and required a lot more synchronizing salesforce opps and contacts manually, and other things along those lines.
