Over the years, Prezi has made some major updates. This results in re-learning the system. While AI tools can be helpful to bridge the gap, I miss some of the old dashboards. For example, there used to be a tool in the top left corner that was the prezi icon. This tool was very intuitive and made it easy to find the features I was looking for. I appreciate the flexibility of Prezi, as I can present thematically and do not have to strictly adhere to a sequence. Additionally, creating slides has become faster and easier over the years. Although the learning curve is still steep, once you understand the principle, it soon works as easily as PowerPoint. The shift from traditional boring presentations that run slide by slide to an option to jump from topic area to topic area makes working with Prezi interesting and creative. There are a few basic program limitations that are annoying, including: the inability to automatically number a list of items/subtopics; crop inserted PDF files (you used to be able to do this in the older version); and not being able to easily utilize multiple color schemes in one presentation. The biggest issue I have with Prezi is their customer support and how they handle the trial period. They charged me for a full year even though I cancelled within the trial period, and when I complained, they basically denied my request for a refund. It feels like a fake trial, and I would not recommend new users to try Prezi unless they're sure it's the right choice for them. It would be helpful if they fulfilled their claim that you won't be charged if you cancel within the trial. Also, the customer support could improve by not hiding behind terms and conditions. I use Prezi for my presentations at work because it gives a unique way of storytelling through slides, solving the problem of boring normal slides. What I like most about Prezi is the creative space it offers to its users. It makes me stand out among the crowd, as people mostly use other slides, but my Prezi presentations are always in a unique way.
