Not a bad product, just bad resources **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Ryan K. | Powerschool Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024 **What do you like best about PowerSchool Ecollect Forms?** Its a great way to poll members of your community for data that can automatically pull the data into SIS to report out or update fields with. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Ecollect Forms?** Powerschool does not really help you use the product and there are next to no resources available for it. Anytime I reached out to powerschool for support, the just sent me quotes for customized forms when I really just wanted to make my own. **What problems is PowerSchool Ecollect Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** Powerschool's ecosystem has native issues sharing data from certain tables within different systems. Yes, the systems integrate, but it might not synchronize certain fields. Take the home language information for example. The home language is apart of the registration process, however PS enrollments doesn't synchronize what the parents registered the home language into SIS. We used Ecollect to then re-poll the parents in mass to update the students home languages data. ### 2. Once it is built, published and shared it is super easy for someone to fill out the form. You can turn on notifications so that you know when new submissions are being received. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Ecollect Forms?** It takes a little bit of time to build out the eCollect form and to use them to the full extent you may need professional development. **What problems is PowerSchool Ecollect Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had to select assessment above, but we are using the form for purposes such as parents signing off on the Student Chromebook Policy as well as filling out information specific to their household that may allow them to have Chromebook fees waived. Our Special Education Department also uses eCollect forms to gather student information. ### 3. We have a variety already in place from the plug-in that we ahve built to resolve issues that SIS nativaly cannot handle. **What do you dislike about PowerSchool Ecollect Forms?** having to mange it as a seperate plug-in instead of it being a core SIS function is the only downside. **What problems is PowerSchool Ecollect Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have to collect home language survey's as well as transportation requests surveys.
