"Comprehensive Digital Thread, But Admin Support Needed"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

I love that Polarion assists with live documenting and supplier collaboration. It solves my problems by unifying quality assurance, test execution, and release management in a single, cohesive thread. The end-to-end digital thread feature is really valuable to me because it allows all requirements to be downstreamed to design blocks. Also, change requests and source codes are read via Jira, and I'm alerted if anything is modified. The initial setup was easy, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

Workflow setups in Polarion require a special administrator, making it challenging for everyone to design, customize, and set up workflows. It can't be easily done by just anyone, which can be a bit of a hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Requirements and Testing for Better Product Outcomes"
4/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

The way it supports our business with requirements preparation and implementation, along with regression testing, will help streamline the process and improve the overall product outcome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

Most of the time, it fails to meet the requirement of exporting to Word or PDF from a large parent-child requirement set. The exported output often doesn’t include each piece of data or parameter properly, and the whole process ends up taking more time than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bryce Langhorne of Polarion

Hi Harinarayana, thank you for sharing your positive experience with Polarion in streamlining the requirements and testing process. We understand the frustration with exporting to Word or PDF, and we'll work on enhancing this feature for a smoother experience.

"Enhances Traceability, Needs UI Update"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

I like Polarion because it solves traceability issues around voices and requirements. I appreciate having product discussions in a maintained platform apart from mail or Teams. The integration with systems like LIMS and Teamcenter is also a plus. With Teamcenter, it integrates the whole product lifecycle from requirement to design validation and production of documents. The integration with LIMS helps connect to labs, where it aids in verifying and validating products with test cases, test runs, and issue management. The initial setup was easy too. What do you dislike about Polarion?

I find the look and feel and navigation to be very old school. I believe easy navigation for end users could improve the UI for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good choice for requirement management, I love it!"
4/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

I really appreciate the ease of installation, use, and customization that Polarion offers. It works as advertised and their customer support is excellent. I also value its capability to provide requirement traceability and versioning, as well as track the closure of all questions and comments during requirement review. Collaboration with other engineers on requirements and the change process is smooth, and the flexibility to maintain time-based requirements is very useful. The concise, centralized repository to define new product marketing and customer requirements with a rule-based workflow is a standout feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

The memory requirement is a thing you need to be prepared for. Also, training was cumbersome and took longer than was anticipated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impactful Traceability, Needs Performance Tweaks"

I love that Polarion eliminates static document chaos, converting documents into dynamic live web documents. I find its flawless end-to-end traceability of impact analysis diagrams incredibly valuable as it helps me see how everything connects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

I don't like the system lags when there are more interconnected live items, and setup is hard for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Traceability, Reuse Needs Refinement"
4/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

I use Polarion for test management, and it creates transparency between tests and requirements. What I like most is that it's quite easy to create links between the different work items. We switched from IBM Jazz, mainly because of usability and the technical end of life of our previous system. The initial setup was ok, comparable to other system roll-outs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

{"I find the principles for centrally managed test catalogues and requirements libraries could be more intuitive.","I think reuse and branch functionality could be improved.","I feel that the fact all workitems (requirements & test cases) are treated equal might not always be the best option.","I find a test catalogue is by its nature managed outside of development projects.","When I reuse test cases into development projects they are changeable in the new context or lose information like previous existing links."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Siemens Integration Drives Real Value in Engineering and Supply Chain"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Polarion?

The integration with all of the Siemens toolsets in the wider applications ecosystem, if properly deployed it is an asset and drives real value through the engineering space and the supply chain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

The amount of effort that it takes to deploy, again the support available from the OEM ( Siemens ) and Gold Partners is not as good as it could be! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
