I really enjoy the reporting that PitchBook provides as well as the updates and news releases that get sent automatically, keeping me up to date on all the PE firms I support as well as their portfolio companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to search entities and people. Deals/transactions for entities are often posted to the respective profiles very shortly after they are announced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Information on certain people and entities can sometimes be out of date, whereas CapitalIQ Pro will often have the updated information instead. PitchBook support can sometimes be finnicky. There have been a few instances where I have submitted feedback about wrong information being displayed for a company, then received an email back saying 'our methods are correct' - in one instance I received this message back when a company's listed domain was for sale on GoDaddy - they corrected the URL after I replied to that initial email, but nonetheless it was a pointless extra step. I loved the amount of companies, detailed information about them, contacts of CEO and other key people. Possibility to do a structured analysis of the companies by type, size, market share etc. Possibility to compare companies and find alternatives for the same demand. Almost all companies can be found. Highly thoughtful and detailed filters allows for great searching capability - this is far better than other tools I've used. Easy export and love the ability to customize the columns. Comparison and similar company suggestions are helpful. The info pop ups via hovering are useful and quick. If there are a great deal of companies in the results, the loading time when adjusting the filters/tags can cause long lag times/spinning wheels when reloading the results. Smaller, private companies don't have as robust of information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
