PitchBook offers a large amount of information with a very broad database, making it an excellent tool for complex financial analysis and market research. The user-friendly interface and powerful search capabilities allow you to search for data efficiently and in detail. The platform's ability to provide in-depth insights into market trends and financial performance is unmatched, and the customer support team is always responsive and helpful. Although the database is extensive, it would be very helpful if PitchBook reviewed and updated company profiles more frequently. Currently, team information is often outdated and email contacts may be incorrect. I use it almost every day, but sometimes the profile for the companies I am interested in are missing. Also, while the interface is user-friendly, it could still be simplified and made more comprehensive. Including video explanations with examples of how to find certain information in the system would also improve the user experience and help new users navigate the platform more effectively.The ease of implementation and integration could also see improvements to further streamline the user experience. The PitchBook system helps me get detailed and comprehensive lists of investors, which is very important for a business. The platform allows me to quickly find and refine contacts for each company. This feature greatly expands the possibilities for conducting targeted informational and analytical work and increases the success rate of the projects I work with. PitchBook has been a great tool in mapping the ecosystem (PE/VC funds, incubators and accelerators, corporations, startups, etc.), allowing us to gain visibility to investors with similar interests to us, and identifiyng potential investment opportunities. Additionally, the breadth of information you can find with regards to funding rounds is vast. The plethora of analyses PitchBook's analysts generate is very helpful in better understanding your industry and the PE/VC landscape, too. Finally, as an investment associate that daily uses the platform, I can say that PitchBook is easy to nagivate (although it requires some time to familiarize yourself with it) and that customer support is great too. The categorization within industries / verticals (or the value chain breakdown) as presented in analyses and reports may be different to the ones actually used. As a result, startups may be allocated / categorized at different "buckets". This has the disadvantage that the analyst may have to dowload the whole list of startups within a vertical, instead of the specific sub-vertical (or specific part of the value chain) he/she needs, in fear of missing potentially promising investment opportunities, which adds to the workload. Another area that PitchBook needs to work on, is the financials. Typically, the revenue or EBITDA figures (for non-listed companies) are not accurate, which makes the calculation of round multiples complex. This is something that (PE mainly) professionals need to consider. Ultimately, the qualitative part of the round (series, investors, etc.) is way more accurate than the quantitative part (valuations, stakes, multiples, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. PitchBook has a lot of information about companies that are not public, and the information in PithBoock seems trustworthy. The inclusion of people's data, patents, and clinical trials has been great! Once you know PitchBook's capabilities, it is easy to use. I wish they included the investor's ID in the deals tables. This would make sense because investors' names can be dirty, so we need an investor's ID to go from deals to investors tables. I also wish PitchBook included trademarks and more information about the companies' products. PitchBook is excellent for searching company by company. It is harder to download and organize data at large scales. People's data needs more information to see which people were involved in which deal. It should also include the company ID so that combining people, company, and deal information is more straightforward. The filters do not connect across different tabs, sometimes that is confusing. I like the Benchnmrks, Reports and merging Spaces market maps the most as I often like to use some of the data to keep up high-lelve market activity, content creation resource credibility and cross-references data in valuation actitivities.
