What do you like best about ownCloud?

no error in the display of the icon on the systray - occupies only 20-22 MB depending on the task manager "System Monitor". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Owncloud, because of its infrastructure, will always be less powerful than Seafile (but more versatile), but if you only have small folders (say <<1GB) to synchronize, the difference shouldn't be too noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Cloud Filesharing"

What do you like best about ownCloud?

I can use our own domain, server and own bandwidth resources, which allows to share many gigabytes with little extra cost than we were already paying for existing services. It allows me to customize settings for extra security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ownCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

ownCloud allows me to share files with others easily. It's extra secure with the ability to use SSL encryption and use custom network ports for moving data. With an cloud appliance it is difficult to see if all the settings are secure and I see in security reports that appliances are often cracked. It saves money, because I don't have to pay other organizations to store files on their systems, which is synonymous with nearly all cloud storage options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
