OrgVue is easy to use and the team / customer support is fantastic and a pleasure to work with. I have used the OrgVue mostly for organisation redesign. The ability to visualise structures and identify key metrics such as spans and layers, in a matter of minutes, whilst being able to delegate different views to users, saves a tremendous amount of time compared to trying to do the same thing using standard tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** OrgVue has so many features and use cases that sometimes it feels like we could be doing even more with the tool. More frequent updates on additional use cases, or other customer success stories, would be a good way to promote new ways of using OrgVue. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** Orgvue helps us easily identify areas of opportunity relevant to our strategic priorities. It has been our central tool for re-modelling our organisation and providing key HR insights to senior stakeholders. ### 2. I like customer support. They are so friendly and helpful. **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** I don't have system integration so I upload data manually, it should be easier. Also, when we create user access, there can be more options. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us to create a design structure in the system and compare the structure as it is. Orgvue really enhances data story telling and speed to insight! **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** The security access for orgvue (ie: who has access to what) can be a bit complex to set up at scale. eg: I have 50+ users in my business who all need slightly different access. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a consultant, Orgvue helps me get a clear picture of client's organization very rapidly. In a matter of minutes, it provides me with information on companies' organization shape and effectiveness which would otherwise take me at least 1-2 weeks to generate. Orgvue also allows me to run more complex analyses such as the "Activity analysis module". This helps me identify strong efficiency savings with clients. It provides me and my clients with an elegant solution that can be used at enterprise level or for bespoke engagements. The flexibility for me is key, as I can pivot very quickly without significant overhaul or rework once it has been implemented and configured. **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** There can be a steep learning curve for some of the more advanced solutions within Orgvue. This is predominantly due to requiring a strong understanding of organisational data. However, note, the core platform is v. simple to run with for beginners! I would also add that there is still work to do on the Strategic Workforce Planning element of Orgvue, although this is very much in the roadmap from what I have seen. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** Orgvue helps me solve a wide range of client challenges: - Are we structured appropriately and what does good look like? - How could we be organised in the future and how does this align with our strategic objectives? - Where does the cost sit in our business and are we rightsized? - Do we have the right capabilities/skills to do the right work (and the right amount of work), in the right places, for the right cost? - What does my organisation look like against organisational health metrics? - How can I ensure a fair spread of talent and no stranded costs in my divestment? - How can my organisation best structure itself post this merger/acquisition without duplicating work? Therefore, OrgVue is a brilliant tool for constructing the "as-is" organisation, running diagnostics, and developing the "to-be" organisation. ### 6. I prefer the old layout. This has always been done offline or in PowerPoint in our company, replicating the same information into an excel flatfile. Modeling reorganizations and comparing these against the baseline has never been easier. Then there's also the Activity analysis that helps us easily capture what is truly done on the ground and enables us to target improvement areas or focus on best practices performed by teams. **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** OrgVue can be a bit daunting to users that are not tech-savvy since it's not too intuitive. This makes it hard for us to roll it out to a broader population, such as BPs. They've been implementing packs recently, so this helps a lot. The other caution is that working with huge datasets, especially with links, can get laggy or freeze, so saving frequently is a must. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us understand our organization in a heirarchal way, making it easier to engage with our exec teams and drive conversations without driving massive workload for the team doing the analysis. This helped us not only by making the work easier, but also helped eliminate mistakes that usually comes as a result of replicating multiple versions and formats of the data. ### 8. I have used it extensively - and it's proven highly versatile for business planning, organisational change, and insight into inefficient deployments of managers. **What do you dislike about Orgvue?** No substantial downsides. Useful that it can import staffing and position data and deal with them separately, allowing for modelling of different types of organisational change. **What problems is Orgvue solving and how is that benefiting you?** Structural insight and change to an organisation of 10k plus employees. Modelling structural change; mapping staff to roles; shaping strategic business planning.
