Integration aspects should be made more robust. Especially porting 3Y forecast to other legacy demand management solution, integration with Oracle ASCP we faced serious challenges on specific business scenarios recently in Poclain account, Verberrie, France. There seems to be a lot of monotonous steps to complete a deal. I think some of the steps could be removed to speed up the entry process. I would like the hierarchy to be more clear as well. I think there also could be fewer limitations as far as adding and removing categories. This could also be limited by the manufacturer that administers the system. Oracle Demantra is one of the best planning tool in the market right now . It is better than the competitive tools that other organisation provides. One can easily integrate Demantra with third party system and is currently in very high demand . One of the best tools which is used in gaming industry which can predict the forecast accurately. There is nothing much to dislike about. One small but insignificant thing is there is dearth of materials available for oracle Demantra and one needs to learn a lot of things in the Initial stage without much reference . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oracle Demantra is a great tool/place to hold alot of records/multi - linked tables etc. We mostly used it in out project for holding details of the inventory, sales, rebates etc. and with the ease of customization it was uable throught the organization for testing, in any environment. I was working mainly as an automation engineer with UFT and I realised that many of the tasks we had to do was repeatitive and should have automatedbut the systemwas a bit slow and incompatible with automation as a lot of time the properties of the system where inconsistent, sometimes it was very difficult to create Object Repositories because there was nothing unique etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use, not hard to learn. Like having different worksheets for each of my account vs having to change a worksheet every time. Adding item or making associations between a customer low and organization is pretty simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At least for my company the engine is not working, some forecast can get pretty weird. Like an item that has around 100 units a month might get some weird forecast of 500+/month. Can be slow when you have too much stuff. Currently my company cant plan by exceptions since we do not have that option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Demantra is a effective demand management tool with the advanced forecasting capabilities. It is a easy to use tool more in a form of a spread sheet and in which data can be easily downloaded and uploaded. Also it has a inbuilt capabilities to integrate with other Oracle modules like advanced supply chain planning and order management. Also it is used with SAP installation as well. Nothing in specific in a consultant point of view. But you need a trained consultant to tune the forecasting engine which is bit of quite complex. Also will be a on going process to get a better accuracy of forecast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Upsides are as follows:

1. Demantra gives you the capability to choose from a plethora of forecasting models which are best in class. This features enables companies to find the best-fit model as per their data set. This in turn helps in high accuracy once the forecasting engine has been fine tuned.

2. It lets you build a Consensus forecast by taking the inputs from various other stakeholder like Marketing, Finance etc. This helps in locking forecast with all parties on board.

3. Demantra enables you to do a manual over-ride on the Forecast. Human intervention is required in high value products which do not have a very good historical data patterns. For such products Demantra maynot give the best possible forecast and Demand Planners need to manually over-ride the generated forecast.

4. Demantra can be used to develop a multi-echelon Forecasts. Forecasting needs to be done for different products at different levels.

Downsides of Demantra are:

1. Demantra does not have a smart engine which can adjust the forecasting model which needs to be selected as per the data provided. Once the engine is configured with a given set of data, if the data trend or characteristics changes then the engine needs to be re-tuned.

2. Its a very technical tool, hence Demand Planners need to know the technicalities along with Functional knowledge to extract best value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
