"Simple, Affordable All-in-One Website Monitoring"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oh Dear?

It’s a great service overall. Its biggest strength is how simple it is to use, configure and get started with. It also includes all the monitoring you need for a website in one place. Notifications can be sent to the channels we want, which is really convenient. It’s also very cheap for what you get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oh Dear?

I wish there were more settings for certain things. I also don’t like how you get spammed every hour with notifications about things that aren’t critical. And when you snooze from Slack, it snoozes everything, so you might miss something more important that happens during your snooze time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Monitoring with Easy Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Oh Dear?

I appreciate using Oh Dear for monitoring all of our frontend and backend applications, finding a lot of value in what's offered. I like the instant notifications I get when there's an issue with any health monitor. Oh Dear helps maintain visibility into DNS health, site speed, response latency, page speed insights for UI applications, and server-side component checks such as databases and caches. The system is super easy to get started with, allowing nearly infinite customization with code-first approaches and unique transport methods. The ease of setup is a big advantage since it works reliably over long periods without much intervention. Additionally, it's very easy to customize monitors for a proficient team. What do you dislike about Oh Dear?

They really lack the ability to monitor all valid TLDs, including our primary domain in some respects, which is a major bummer, but we're able to stop-gap that with other tools. Supporting all TLD domains, even the ones that don't use RDAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of my go to tools, an absolute essential in my role as a Digital Product Owner"
5/5
What do you like best about Oh Dear?

The detail and accuracy of the performance reports are fantastic. It's the perfect bridge app between our platform devs and other team members that might not have the same access to troubleshoot or might be slightly less technical and need an easy tool to show where any issues might be.

I use it during deployments to monitor the change in performance and analyse any trends in performance lag.

Uptime reporting allows me to review even the small outages that might not have been spotted, and again monitor for trends.

Webhook alerts is mega useful, we have a few of these tailor set-up and pinging into Teams channels to get the right attention.

I also use the lighthouse reporting tools, it's good to have an alternative to Google's lighthouse reports, plus you get a full history of the reports to monitor the performance over time, which you don't get with Google.

I really like the ease of user management and the simplicity of cost, so we're not worrying about adding more users whenever I need someone to log in and check something for us.

OhDear is user-friendly, easy to set-up and onboard users, it presents technical details in a way that allows non-techies to understand it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oh Dear?

No 'dislikes' but some opportunities...

I'd like a feature to export all lighthouse metrics into an Excel/csv so I can track performance over time (only a small thing, but I currently do this manually). Even better, auto-update a Google sheet.

Auto-generated performance analysis. If we have a drop in performance, I'll tend to review all the date/time options to identify any trends in performance drop to help identify any anomalies and potential causes. It's be great to have a way to do this better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best site monitoring tool I ever used"
5/5
What do you like best about Oh Dear?

Oh Dear is one of those set-and-forget tools that you configure once, and then you hope to not be notified by them. Super reliable, love all those various checks that I can set up for my domains. It's not only site-is-down monitor, it's also cron, sitemaps, performance, lighthouse reports, status pages, etc. I love that I can give access to others as well, good for reports. Their support is also great, there were several occasions when I reported some bugs and they fixed them promptly, which is awesome. And the configuration is very easy - you add the domain, and depending on some features send them an HTTP request, and that's it. Super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oh Dear?

I'm grandfathered on their older plan, and I wish I was able to switch to a yearly plan instead of monthly. Less invoices to handle :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mattias Geniar of Oh Dear

If you send us an email we could look into your pricing plan.
