## NetSense NMS Reviews
  ### 1. A Practical NMS for OLT, PON and Last-Mile Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about NetSense NMS?**

NetSense NMS gives us much better visibility into the last-mile network, especially OLTs, PON ports, and customer-side devices. In large FTTx deployments it is usually difficult to quickly identify whether an issue is in the core, aggregation, or access network. NetSense helps narrow this down very quickly.

We particularly value the monitoring and alerting around OLTs and PON ports, including cases like partial PON outages or degradation that would otherwise take much longer to diagnose. The platform is multi-vendor and combines monitoring with management capabilities, which is useful when operating equipment from different vendors.

Another big advantage is the operational visibility it provides to our NOC team. Instead of manually checking multiple systems, the team can quickly see where problems are happening and reduce the time to diagnose and resolve customer-impacting issues.

**What do you dislike about NetSense NMS?**

NetSense is still evolving and some features are continuously being improved as the product matures. Certain integrations with existing OSS/BSS workflows require customization, and some advanced analytics features are still being expanded.

However, the development team is responsive and actively incorporates feedback from operators, so improvements and new capabilities are delivered regularly.

**What problems is NetSense NMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In large FTTx networks it is often difficult to quickly identify where an issue is happening, especially in the last-mile access network. Traditionally our NOC teams had to look at multiple systems or manually check OLTs and PON ports to understand whether a problem was affecting a single subscriber, a PON segment, or a larger area.

NetSense NMS helps consolidate this visibility. It gives our operations team a clear view of OLTs, PON ports, and connected ONUs, along with monitoring and alerting that highlights issues such as partial PON outages, abnormal behavior, or device problems. This significantly reduces the time needed to diagnose faults and helps the team respond faster.

The biggest benefit for us is operational efficiency. Our NOC can identify the root cause of customer-impacting issues much faster, reduce troubleshooting time, and proactively detect problems before they generate large numbers of support tickets.
