"Powerful Network Insights, But Steep Learning Curve and Complex Setup"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

We appreciated how easy it was to use Netscout to access information about our network usage and any issues that arose. The tool is capable of pinpointing where slowdowns are occurring, and often makes it straightforward to track and resolve these slowdowns or disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Netscout can sometimes feel overwhelming and complicated, especially if you're looking for a straightforward solution. The setup process tends to be lengthy, and the user interface isn't always intuitive, which can make navigation challenging. Typically, some training is required to fully utilize its capabilities. While it's a powerful tool, this level of complexity might be excessive for smaller teams or for those who only need to handle basic troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust DDoS Protection and Easy Setup"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I'm mainly happy with the DDoS capabilities of NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability. It's definitely valuable for me as it helps reduce the workload and time needed to accomplish more activities. The fake traffic is definitely blocked, which is helpful. The command line interface is straightforward, and both the licensing port and binding process are easy to handle. It's easy to buy and set up with the managers and the devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

There isn't really specific feedback on dislikes in the transcript. The user repeats that unwanted or global level blacklisted traffic can be edited, which hints at an area for improvement, but isn't expressed clearly as a dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Troubleshooting, But High Cost"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I use NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability to understand what's happening on my network and how applications are performing. I really like how it accelerates troubleshooting by correlating packet-level insight with application and network behavior, which significantly reduces Mean Time to Knowledge and Mean Time to Repair. This tool provides faster root cause identification, which is super beneficial. I also appreciate the fast troubleshooting capabilities it offers, even in complex networks. The initial setup was easy and clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I find the higher cost compared to alternatives a bit challenging. NETSCOUT's pricing is more enterprise-oriented and less transparent, unlike modern alternatives like Datadog or Dynatrace that offer more predictable, usage-based pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Visibility with Complex Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I like that NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability provides deep real-time visibility, accurate root cause analysis, and comprehensive end-to-end monitoring. These features help us quickly detect issues, identify the exact root cause, and minimize downtime. I also find it user-friendly and easy to manage, which made our team switch from Zabbix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The user interface can be complex for new users, and initial setup and configuration could be more streamlined. The more intuitive dashboard layout and simplified deployment process with clearer documentation would make onboarding and daily usage much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am able to analyze network and security on our platform with NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability. I appreciate having the application's performance data, which is very helpful in making it better and faster. The tool provides packet-level visibility, allowing us to find weak points in our network, applications, and security layers. I really like that we can find root cause analyses faster, enabling us to take proactive approaches to solutions. The packet-level data also helps us analyze performance effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Monitoring with Real-Time Visibility"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I use NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability primarily for performance analysis and traffic analysis. It helps us quickly identify and resolve network and application performance issues. I really like that it shows packet visibility properly and provides real-time monitoring, which makes it easier to identify issues. The packet visibility allows us to see exactly what's happening in the network, making it much easier to identify the root cause of any issue. We also use it with ITSM to create tickets for any incidents, which makes tracking easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I find its user interface a bit hard for new users, and for smaller teams like us, it's a bit more expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One Stop for Observability Solutions"
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

What I like best about NETSCOUT’s observability products is that they are purpose-built to fit specific needs without requiring reliance on third-party tools or juggling multiple vendors. Each solution is designed to integrate seamlessly within its intended environment, which simplifies deployment and management. Instead of having to piece together functionality from different sources, NETSCOUT offers a comprehensive portfolio that covers monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance visibility end-to-end.

This single-vendor approach reduces complexity, streamlines support, and ensures consistent data and insights across the entire infrastructure. For organizations looking to avoid fragmented monitoring environments, NETSCOUT’s all-in-one observability platform is a strong fit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The biggest drawback with NETSCOUT’s observability products is the cost. Compared to competitors, the pricing is significantly higher, which makes it challenging to justify expanding adoption or recommending new offerings - such as the OCI solutions - to customers. While the functionality is strong, the premium pricing often becomes a barrier when trying to balance budgets and long-term value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The product offers a lot of power, but at times it can be challenging to configure and manage. It takes new team members a while to learn the system and become comfortable using it. Additionally, the user interface seems somewhat outdated when compared to more modern observability platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
