## Nestor Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, simple, and truly transformative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

What impressed me most was how quickly we were able to get started with Nestor. The implementation was fast and smooth, and the platform is so intuitive that both managers and employees were able to use it right away. I like how it gives us a clear view of the skills across the organization, highlights where we have gaps, and immediately connects those with relevant learning opportunities. It’s not only easy to use but also powerful in how it supports both individual growth and organizational priorities.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

The only initial challenge was shifting away from the old, traditional evaluation mindset. It took some adjustment for both managers and employees. But because the platform is so user-friendly, the transition was much smoother than I expected, and once people saw the benefits, adoption followed naturally.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Nestor, we struggled with assessing skills in an objective and consistent way. Development opportunities often felt generic, and it was hard to match the right people with the right growth paths. With Nestor, we now have reliable insights into where our teams stand, and we can act on those insights quickly. It helps us close skill gaps faster, boost engagement, and ensure our workforce is prepared for future challenges. It’s also made conversations about growth and performance much more meaningful.

  ### 2. Intuitive, modern and flexible tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

This applies in particular to the following points:

- The clear interface and clear structures
- The ease of use of the entire tool
- The adaptability of various masks / content to individual needs
- The consideration of customer feedback
- The representation of data using different graphs

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

We are still in the implementation phase and are very satisfied so far. Only the translation of the interface into another language is taking a little longer than expected.
Previous feedback has always been gratefully received. Change requests were always checked for implementation and implemented directly or noted as planned.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor makes skills management much easier for us. We can provide all employees with a transparent overview of their individual skills and development opportunities at all times. This helps us a lot in the area of personnel development and recruiting, as we always know which skills are available, which are still required and which need to be (further) developed.

  ### 3. Nestor is a comprehensive platform to develop your people and business.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valentin B. | HR Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I like Nestor because it shows real-time team performance and personal development.
It points out areas of skill deficiency and suggests focused learning materials.
Easily integrates with existing technologies to ensure efficient workflow management.
It enables managers to set goals, track progress, and provide comments to enable them to realize their best possible performance.
Has a great integration and support team.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Nothing to complain about yet; perhaps once I run the application and check it in a few months.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By combining the present performance management system with a 360-degree feedback, Nestor has changed our attitude to performance management by offering a complete, real-time view of both corporate and personal performance. Our main objective was to create a solution able to smoothly combine these components to boost the output and involvement of our team.

All things considered, Nestor's answer satisfied our need for an integrated performance management system and simplified our ability to monitor performance and make constant changes.

  ### 4. An implementation that went smooth with very well trained people.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelica N. | director executiv, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I found very usefull reporting system in the platform, the flexibility and a lot of option you could access if you prefer a more complicated and detailed management system. Easy to colaborate with team , and also made the evaluating process pleasant for everyone. We also enjoy a lot of support from Nestor team on implemantation fase and for further development and ideas.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

we tried to use it for performance review and calculation of bonuses linked with business kpi, as we have a lot of different specifications we had dificulties and now we go for a integration so that we could increase the adoption of system and the objectivity.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anual employee review become more friendly and easy to apply, development plans for each individual and alignment with company strategic objectives also.

  ### 6. Nestor is an agile and modern platform for Performance Management, Career Development and Feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corina G. | Innovation Master Facilitator, FORTH Innovation Method, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Highly adapted to the trends and modern approaches in HR and management
Constant improvement and innovation in terms of modules and functionalities
Highly responsive and professional support team, listening to the evolving needs of customers and many times anticipating them.
Easy to implement and integrate, with great support in users training

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Nothing for what it covers right now. Just that it's not (yet) embeding other HR platforms & functionalities, like HR admin & intranet to have one stop shop for the employees, with the same approach, transparency and UX

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a modern and agile platform, aligned with the newest practices and with the constant changes of our needs
Transparency of objectives and empowering the employees and managers in setting up the objectives and tracking them
Feedback on competencies and development

  ### 8. Smart solution to fill project roles using people skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Although I was quite skeptical at the beginning, implementing Nestor has proved to be a successful method for me to find people based on skills. On one hand, I can search for people within the organization based on specific skills I’m interested in. Also, I can easily post opportunities, and engage with people based on their matching scores. One thing I like most is the filtering capability and how the platform displays the best-fit people using the highest score at the top, followed by lower percentages. I like that I can also see people who were not 100% fit but still they had the required proficiency level for 5 out of 8 skills, let’s say.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

While Nestor's can be a great solution to fill roles, the success of talent management initiatives relies on having a clear and well-structured approach for mapping and assessing skills.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We decided to look for suitable people internally and Nestor helps with this. Nestor has the ability to match the right skills and expertise with the specific needs of each project and saves valuable time, effort, and resources.

  ### 9. A gateway to pushing growth across your organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Nestor's software has most of, if not all, the capabilities you would need to ensure that people understand their strengths and weaknesses, are clear on what they need to do (clear goals, timelines and measurable results). It also helps managers have a unified view of their teams, figuring out where there might be common pain points and potential for value exchange.

As with every software, it depends on how it's used but if you want to instill a growth mindset in your company across all team members, it's a great tool.

Implementing and integrating the software is straightforward and the team at Nestor is super responsive.

We utilize the software to create growth plans every 6 months and have regular (monthly or so) check-ins. It also informs our L&D activities.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

It's not fully polished yet. Plenty of things that can be improved in the UX which is important for easy adoption. However, it does a good enough job.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For managers:
 - helps them create a clear picture of who is where in their growth development across their team members
 - facilitates easy communication of the next steps and areas of growth

For team members:
 - creates clarity on what they are doing well and not so well with
 - creates clarity on what the next steps of their growth are

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I think the best part of implementing and using Nestor throughout the company is the positive change and how it impacted our mindset. This is a huge win. We started with Goals and Performance Reviews then expanded into 360-Feedback and Employee Growth Plans. It's very user-friendly and very easy to use and configure. Their customer support is also top-notch. Ever since, it's been an invaluable tool for our Leadership teams to understand where our people are at, and how we can help them grow and prepare them to take on higher responsibilities within the company. But it also influenced our employee's attitudes. We managed to create a stronger bond between managers and their direct reports, increase collaboration, and show each person how their work contributes to the company’s strategic direction. The skills-based development framework can serve multiple purposes and keep people engaged toward their development goals.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

The platform offers a robust set of features and seamless integrations, and so far I haven't came ascross anything that I dislike.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina A. | Human Resources Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

- you can see the progress of the employees' competencies year over year
- excellent customer support; they are always prompt and very helpful, and open to suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

- nothing to add on this chapter, it's quite intuitive and easy to use

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us track and monitor the impact of each employee in the objectives completion.
It helps in tracking and monitoring the progress of employees' professional development.

  ### 16. Nestor is a great platform to enhance people skills and track performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marta F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

One great thing about Nestor is that they are pushing for new functionalities and improvements every month. We started to use the platform to have a structured framework for defining and tracking employee goals that help us reach our business strategy. In the second phase, it was very important for us, as an organization, to identify the areas where our people need to further develop their capabilities. As the platform covers the much-needed skills management process, we moved into assigning skills to each direct report and assessing them twice a year during performance reviews.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

I like Nestor. I've sent a few feature requests to the team like adding priorities to goals and the two way calendar synchronization and I've been surprised to see that they already added them to their roadmap.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Nestor, we managed to close the loop between performance, and career development. We used performance reviews as an opportunity to assess employee skill levels and to identify critical skills gaps that need to be addressed with the right learning and development opportunities. Having these areas combined into a single platform is a big win for us.

  ### 17. A must-have tool for any HR department that wants to bring a transformative change in the company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The thing that I love the most about Nestor is how it gives us transparency and a granular view of employees' skills, and work activities and reveals their hidden potential. For me as an HR, implementing Nestor has been a huge relief in terms of managing performance reviews and also in identifying and tracking the evolution of skills and employee development. It helped me save time and create a bridge between employees, managers, and the HR department. The admin part is easy to use and you get insights about meaningful employee statistics like top performers, skills distribution and gaps, or notifications that keep you on track with your tasks and make your life easier. Also, the platform comes with clear user permissions and the support is just awesome.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Nothing that I dislike at the moment, I will review this section in the future to share my feedback and what I'd love to see more.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform covers a wide range of areas of talent management like goal setting, performance reviews, skills assessments, and tracking employee development. For us, it was a game changer in connecting performance management processes to skills and gaining a deeper understanding of the hidden potential of each person. This holistic view of an employee's abilities and performance, helped us bring a positive change within the organization, and help our employees keep track and adapt to new business requirements and needs while making the best use of their unique skills and potential.

  ### 18. Great platform that helped us structure performance and skills assessment in a fair transparent way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranya D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

By helping us easily create, share, and track objectives, Nestor helped us transform our work culture, and increase accountability and motivation. We were amazed about how flexible the tool is in defining the multiple goals and metrics we want to reach. The team was fantastically helpful in all aspects starting with rapid deployment and onboarding so very soon we fell in love with the rest of the platform also: performance reviews and employee development.
At this moment, our organization gets alignment about performance expectations while managers and HR can easily assess employee competencies and make recommendations for improvement. Moreover, each employee can now take a skill self-assessment before joining a review talk, which contributed a lot to increased engagement and platform adoption.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

At the beginning, we anticipated a certain setback from the employees but it wasn’t the case. The Nestor team was especially helpful in this direction by providing us with consistent guidance, internal workshops during the onboarding stage, and quick solutions for any of our requests.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Nestor platform helps us seamlessly benefit from a modern performance management process that combines progress on objectives, a structured framework for assessing skills during performance reviews, and employee growth. We now have a streamlined process, running much smoother than before, encouraging employee participation. Rolling out new performance management processes with Nestor and being able to measure at the same time some critical skills and competencies has helped us gain a common understanding of performance expectations, required skills, areas that need improvement, and how these metrics interconnect and impact each other.

  ### 19. So far it works great for our company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefka A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

We finally found a software so close to our unautomized process, that we didn't change anything to it, just moved it into the platform.

It was easy to integrate and easy to use by our teammates.

Raluca is very responsive and supportive anytime and for any issue we are facing.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

So far we don't have anything to put here.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Nestor solved the problem we had with tracking how our colleagues grow and develop from a growth plan to another.

  ### 20. A solution that exceeded my expectations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The part I like most about Nestor is the Employee Skills Profile functionality. It's easy to use and fill. It helps me easily visualize the required skills for my job role and also highlights gaps. I can also select my future desired position within the company and identify what skills I am missing to make an advancement. I love that this is an employee-driven tool that helps me map out my career plans, and discover new skills I should work and develop. It gives me the sense that I can make a choice when it comes to my career trajectory and I can see all the available options I might pursue. Then I can make plans for development with my manager and monitor the progress I’ve made over time.
I like the integration with our communication channel.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

No downsides that I've found so far. I find Nestor an intuitive tool, with a rich interface and insighful reports.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An up-to-date overview of my skills and competencies along with the option to add certifications, which in my case is very useful. A fast way to find people in my company with high expertise in a certain skill. Once identified I reached out to them and asked for their advice. Nestor helped me become fully aware of my strengths with feedback collected from my direct manager and other peers. From my side, Nestor is easy to use and requires little instruction.
Awesome tool, modern and user-friendly.

  ### 21. Excellent tool for goal tracking and continuous improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I use Nestor to create and check in on my quarterly objectives. It’s very useful because I have many options to measure my progress towards the achievement of the goal. I also can invite my manager or other colleagues to contribute to my goals and also leave comments. My favorite thing is the emoticon functionalities, which I find very cool and fun. Another thing I love is the ability to self-review alongside the managers’. These skills reviews which usually take place twice a year, make room for open communication with my manager, which is great. Afterward, we can decide on a future development plan focused on developing or improving my existing skills. Although in the beginning I was a little bit distrustful about this practice, I soon realized it supports my continuous development and I can always keep track of the new requirements for my role.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Too many notifications over email.
The app is super easy to be used on mobile, but a mobile app would be really nice to have.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor is a very useful tool. The goal-tracking option keeps me motivated and focused on the outcomes, and I also can see how other members of my team are performing. This is really engaging from my perspective. From the very beginning, it was very easy to use and not difficult at all to navigate through it. Our performance review processes got a lot easier and efficient, saving many hours of preparation, for both me and my manager.
The section for documenting feedback is something I like very much as well because I can access it easily, whenever I want to, and go through the comments left by my manager.

  ### 22. Easy to use platform for tracking skills and boosting internal mobility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The comprehensive skills profile, where each employee can see specific job-role skills, soft and technical skills, and add desired skills to be developed in the future

The easy way of assessing skills and how their level of proficiency is displayed on each profile

The possibility to create growth plans centered around acquiring new skills and developing the existing ones

Easy way of identifying and visualizing skills gaps for the current role

New functionalities and improvements released each month

Short time of implementation

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Sometimes the notifications are overwhelming especially if you are a manager having more than 10 direct reports

Nothing else to add here

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identify if our people have the right skills according to the level required for their job role

Develop the soft and leadership skills for middle and top managers

Discover the most critical skills gaps existing in our organization

Use skills to boost career moves and internal mobility

Fill out job roles faster with people from inside

  ### 23. Awesome product for tracking and assessing skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

- Flexible skills and capabilities database
- Ease of use for both employees and managers, high adoption in our organization
- Easy way to assess skills during performance reviews and 360s
- Multiple ways of visualizing skill gaps (Employee Skills Profiles and Skills Matrices)
- Speedy implementation compared to other platforms and great support from the team
- Usefull integration with Slack

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Absolutely no complaints up to this point. A mobile app would be amazing to have in the future, but it can be used from your mobile pretty smoothly.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor helps us gain an objective understanding of the skill gaps existing in our organization.

What I like most is their thorough assessment process and the opportunity to tap into multiple perspectives (manager, self-review) so we can have the most accurate outcomes.

As self-ratings can sometimes be biased, we need to get managers involved in this process and collect their feedback as well.

Nestor provides us with multiple ways of visualizing skill gaps. You can identify gaps at the individual level for both your current role and future desired job. Managers can also identify skill gaps within their teams and balance strengths and weaknesses.

  ### 24. Great Skills and Career Management Tool to develop critical skills and competencies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

We are currently using Nestor to make sure our employees have the right skills and competencies needed to perform their roles accordingly and to assess their evolution twice a year.
Nestor has been a trusted partner in the process, providing our HR department with customized recommendations to meet our needs and get started smoothly. In the first phase, we mapped out the skills and competencies of some critical departments with stretch assignments and a need for upskilling from a leadership perspective.
We managed to identify what the gaps were and the next step was to set personalized growth plans for each individual. Nestor’s growth plans were very useful in this direction as we could assign very easily skills that need to be developed and also growth objectives. Tracking employee skills has turned into a straightforward and transparent process ever since, with benefits on all sides: HR, managers, and employees.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

By this moment, I couldn’t find any cons, maybe except for the fact that a mobile app will be quite useful in the future.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor helps us tackle many of our internal challenges related to the lack of visibility of the critical skills and competencies employees need to develop according to their roles to perform better and be more engaged.
With Nestor, we can support in an agile and ongoing way our employees in the path of growth and gain real-time insights about their progress and how this progress contributes to meeting their operational objectives.

  ### 25. Quick access to projects and other learning opportunities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynn C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

It was useful to understand at a glance if I have the skills required by a particular project.

I like that I can have trainings suggested on my profile.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

No smartphone application is available now.

Nothing else to add.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility over initiatives that would normally be outside my reach.
See projects where other colleagues are involved.

  ### 26. A powerful talent management solution that boosts skills development and performance

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The thing I like best about Nestor is its straightforward processes for HRs, people managers, and employees alike. The setup is very quick and I can easily define job roles and skills repositories so we can have a clear view at each point about the skills and talent available in our organization.
Further on, we can easily assign skills and competencies to jobs, effectively manage performance expectations and identify individual strengths and areas for improvement for each individual. Also, the feature that allows me to search through the database for a particular skill has been very useful.
From my viewpoint, having job roles, skills, and performance management all together it’s a great win. By using OKRs templates, we ensure alignment at the organizational level, and through regular performance reviews, we can assess skills from multiple perspectives (self-assessment and manager’s assessment) and identify actions for future growth. It’s like putting all the pieces of a puzzle back together.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

We work closely with the Nestor team and there’s nothing I would add at this point. The solution has been smooth and user-friendly, regardless of your digital proficiency. Still, for maximum adoption and regular usage, it’s important to get onboard and engage your leadership team.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, as an organization was very important to give people from the very beginning clarity about their performance expectations and about the skills and behaviors that can help them achieve their goals and lead them forward. We see performance and skills as two interconnected processes and Nestor has been a game changer in this direction.
Nestor helped us achieve a granular view of the workforce capabilities we already have in place, identify gaps, and track performance through a very practical and structured approach. The OKRs tracking options are highly customizable and keep our teams motivated while giving them visibility and empowering them to work together toward a common goal.
Still, helping employees grow and develop their skills along the process is the main advantage we get as an organization by using Nestor. Our efforts to build a high-performing organization are doubled by our constant interest in supporting people to expand their skills, knowledge and develop their careers. And Nestor has proved to be the perfect solution to help us achieve this strategic goal.
Nevertheless, the constant support from the Nestor team and its intuitive interface has led to a smooth implementation of the system and high adoption among the employees.

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The comprehensive skills library and the integrated development framework.

The level of configuration and customization, included some small details we needed in the skills framework.

The skills mapping functionality is very useful for employees to manage role expectations.

The possibility for our managers to help their direct reports grow in the company and collaborate on growth plans.

Setting and tracking OKRs and aligning company goals with employee initiatives.

Reporting and high data granularity when using filters.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

There is nothing to complain yet. I will review this area in a few months maybe.

The customer support is excellent. The product team at Nestor considers the feedback received from their customers. This adds a lot to the customer experience, we even had a request delivered and this shows profesionalism and care for their customers.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enhanced visibility over the skills we have in the company and how we can better allocate them.

The quarterly skills gap analysis that is run across the organization is done using Nestor.

Every employee in the company has a development plan and plan for future growth together with their manager.

Identifying the availability of a needed skill based on data saves time and potential recruiting costs.

  ### 28. Nice platform for tracking skills and help with career development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

We use the Nestor platform for performance reviews to track objectives and for people development journeys in our company.
The feature I like the most is the interactive profile where I can add my skills, evaluate them and keep track of my evolution over time.
Searching for other people’s skills in the company is something that inspires me and makes me curious.
Asking for a meeting with my manager is easy to setup and after the meeting we can document it.
The feedback forms are intuitive.
The team at Nestor is very responsive if we have questions or we need help in using the platform. I like the fact that they are open to feedback.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Before Nestor we used to share the feedback in emails. It would be great if the platform could collect the feedback from email as well.
When creating objectives, a draft mode would be useful.
It would be nice to have a summary email every week with the progress of our entire team.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since using Nestor, I have recurring meetings with my manager and this is something that keeps me accountable for the initiatives I take to develop my skills. My bi-annual growth plan is constantly updated and this makes me happy because I’m more focused on doing small steps towards my development. I can document all my actions, including trainings or courses.
Receiving feedback from my peers and from my manager is helpful.
Nestor keeps all the information organized and in one single place.

  ### 29. Excellent platform for agile teams to drive a culture focused on results, customer service &learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Overall, the platform looks nice, modern interface and a good user experience. Our team understood the concepts rapidly after just one onboarding webinar.
- it’s great that we can track skills and competencies and we can also link behaviors that we review them on a monthly basis
- the KPI tracking is very nice, with colored dashboards and progress
- the high level of customization
- performance reviews pull a summary for the entire activity, which is time saving for a manager
- the employee skills profiles and the fact that they are linked to the roles and their recommended skills
- one-on-one meetings that can be setup with my direct reports
- interactive dashboards

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

The support team handles some of the configurations for you and this could be open to administrators.
For the cascaded goals some of the data could be averaged or summed up by default.
Dashboards need a bigger screen for you to be able to make decisions, using your mobile for this is not ideal.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most important thing for me as a sales manager is that I don’t have to enter all the data. Nestor does a good job in making people accountable for their work and the fact that they adopted the idea of regular checkins.
The dashboards are interactive and this makes my job easier when making decisions.
Reviews are just a formality now, because they are 80% automatically filled and it takes less than before.
The growth plans holds people accountable for their career development.

  ### 30. User-friendly, all-in-one platform that enhances team collaboration and individual development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jude E J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I like it because we don’t use Excels anymore to track progress and some of the information we used to store in different locations we now document it in Nestor.
I have a dedicated space to manage and view my skills and Nestor shows the gaps and the history for all my activities.
The skills chart is informative.
It’s easy to set meetings with my manager or other peers.
I like the transparency over team and company goals. Seeing the objectives of other colleagues is a nice functionality.
For the OKRs, is nice to be able to customize the targets and how the data is organized when sharing updates.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Nothing to add here for now, maybe I will be able to add more in the future.
Suggestions for the future: access between pages could be more linked, two-way calendar synchronization, the Slack integration is good but could use multiple channels functionality.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor helps our team monitor objectives and collaborate better. Every member of our team knows that they need to do and how our actions contribute to the overall team goals.
It makes myself more aware that every month I need to checkin and share the progress with my manager and my peers.
Giving and receiving feedback on the spot becomes a good practice in our team.
Knowing my gaps on the skills compared to the job expectations is important to know how I can improve.
Having meetings every month with my manager is helpful.

  ### 31. Nestor is well integrated, intuitive and helps with people’s growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alisson S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I like the fact that I have one single tool for everything I do with regards to my direct reports’ performance and development. We use it for OKRs, track KPIs and team progress, run monthly 1:1s and performance reviews, answer to engagement surveys and share peer feedback. The feature that I love is the growth plan and skills profile for each of my direct reports. I am able to see the gaps and the requirements for each role in my team and I can track their progress over time.
Dashboards are rich and informative, and the interface is intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Too many notifications :). I’d like to be able to organize threads and receive some of the notifications in an aggregated email. Other than that, I feel that the tool does its job pretty well. The Slack integration is great, but it would be great if I could switch some of the email notifications to come in a separate slack channel.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor makes my 1:1s more effective and helps me focus on results. My team is more focused on what they need to do, so managing expectations is something that Nestor really helps me with. Also, I can see the skills availability in my team and their allocation.
Another important thing that I’d love to mention is that it really saves me time in gathering and organizing information.
I can see my people being open to take more responsibility and ownership over their performance and growth.

  ### 32. Nestor supports a culture of learning and high performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthonia M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I love the skills hub because is very flexible, everything is configurable and it helps us establish a common language for our people when reffering to skills and capabilities.
The user interface is modern, easy to use and it offers nice charts everywhere.
Good reporting module with multiple filters and selections to segment the data.
The skills module is well connected and integrated with feedback forms, performance reviews and objectives.
The onboarding was very smooth and the customer success team is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Is hard to find something I don’t really like, but small improvements are always well received. More flexibility in setting and configuring different notifications may be something worth mentioning.
The support is amazing! Every time we needed a change or we needed their help it just happened almost instantly.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We found in Nestor a unique approach to bringing skills into our performance and development processes. The fact that every employee has its own skills profile that is connected with 360 reviews, pulse surveys, objectives and individual development plans was exactly what we needed at the time we chose Nestor as a partner.
The tool helps us achieve complete visibility over the skills our employees have and offers us the opportunity to use our talent at the highest potential.
Our employees are very happy with the user experience, as the tool is very friendly and the interface is stunning. Managers love it because they have access to team reports.

  ### 33. It is efficient for annual evaluation

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

It make the annual review process short and simple

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Managers may have different standards for evaluation, which can cause inconsistencies in performance review scoring

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Doing so brings forth a diversity of perspectives to make both the feedback and development plan as well-rounded as possible.

  ### 35. Nestor empowers our team to collaborate clearly and transparently on our objectives and progress.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica O. | Startup Programs Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The process for setting OKRs is straightforward, cascading from superiors' objectives is easy and being able to check other colleagues' dependencies & progress is very useful.

I also find the new Skills & projects section. On the one hand, this supports clearly defining my skills and progress with my manager, and on the other hand, it allows me to check other jobs in the company for potential new roles.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Nothing about the tool itself. I find it highly usable, customizable in terms of notifications and with an intuitive reporting view.

The challenge for teams is the initial adoption of the methodology (we introduced OKRs at the same time as the tool) and actually using it - timely imputing information and progress into the app so that it can reach its full potential.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor helps us to set OKRs and track the progress clearly, further check teams and departments' results and manage performance bonuses. Thus, Nestor brings clarity on work that needs to be done and transparency on what other colleagues are working on, so we can better work transversally.
The Skills and Projects market feature supports personal development. It also allows for an easier transition of employees inside the company when they're looking for new opportunities.

  ### 36. A great way to keep myself accountable and learn how I can be better at my work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Călin A. | Physical Therapist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Nestor helps me see in a clear way what are my role’s responsibilities and what are the skills I need to develop in my role. The platform really surprised me because this is a great space where I can connect with my colleagues, see what others are working on, share feedback, recognize other’s work and, most importantly, really understand how our company values are promoted through work and projects (by both, management and other colleagues).
To keep it short, Nestor is like a playground where everyone strives to be better and contribute to the company success.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

I love that I can use it from my phone, however a native mobile application would be great. It would make me come back to it a few times a day :)
Nothing else more to say.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An easy-to-use platform with a friendly design and informative nudges. I like the fact that I can virtually meet any colleague from the company and this is super helpful especially when you are a new hire. Creating goals and defining your own KPIs is super easy and sharing feedback is just one click away. Also, having my own profile with everything I need to do, what I should develop and painting my own career path is super helpful.

  ### 37. Great choice for managing performance and career development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George H. | Sales Manager proiecte speciale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

What I like best about Nestor is how it connects two major areas: all activities related to performance cycles (objectives, feedback, and performance reviews), and employee development and growth based on existing skills and capabilities. As a manager, it gives me visibility into the skills and capabilities my team holds, as well as insights into the existing gaps in skill levels compared to job expectations. Once we are aware of the areas that need improvement, we can easily set up development objectives and track their progress in the same way we deal with performance objectives.
Also, having insights on people's skills from multiple perspectives (peer and self-assessments) as well as their performance can help us conduct more specific and engaging performance reviews than in the past.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

What is least helpful about Nestor? What are the downsides of using Nestor?
Not sure I have something urgent to bring here. There is always room for new functionalities, but the updates are coming pretty often. I’d like to have a way of attaching documents on objectives.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since implementing Nestor, we have noticed a significant increase in setting new development objectives as a result of the quarterly performance reviews. It is also useful for keeping track of objectives, and the notification system has been very helpful in this regard. For example, if a colleague is falling behind on their objectives, I receive a notification and can set up a meeting to discuss any roadblocks and possible solutions. The multiple options for assessing competencies are also great and allow us to understand strengths and identify areas for improvement in our teams we weren’t aware of before.

  ### 38. A platform that helps increase business performance and have a highly-engaged team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina M. | CEO, Apparel & Fashion, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Easy to create and track objectives, and align them with strategic directions.
Dynamic dashboards and deep-dive through data.
Unexpected nudges that are not only reminders, but real to dos.
Customizable forms and questions that we can use in performance reviews.
The possibility to have a growth plan for each employee.
Amazing customer support, they are very responsive and take in consideration the feedback we send.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

The system could offer more filters in the administration area.
Sometimes we receive too many notifications from Nestor and I think some of them could be skipped.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Nestor is an amazing facilitator in sharing the responsibility across the organization and increasing the transparency.
Helps with setting the expectations on job roles and required skills.
Fosters collaboration and communication between departments.
A visual way of connecting soft and hard skills with results in reviews, and having growth plans after performance conversations.
A great way for managers to learn about their team culture and develop as leaders.
The interface is nice and this helped a lot with the adoption of the tool.

  ### 39. Nestor helps me see the available career development opportunities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cosmina U. | Corporate Relationshiop Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The way it shows available opportunities to pursue and what competencies I need to develop considering my current position.
Easy to find other people with the skills I am interested in and see the projects they are involved in.
The reports I receive from Nestor show me the strengths I have and the development areas that I have to consider based on the feedback received from my colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

I cannot state something at the moment, the tool is intuitive. There were some cases when I had difficulties in finding some of the skills, but they were rapidly added to the library.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me clearly understand what are the skills and the expertise needed based on my job role and where is room for further development.
It increases the visibility across my team capabilities and we collaborate better on our team goals.
Higher clarity on my role expectations and see when I exceed some of them.

  ### 40. Nestor helps me understand what I need to focus on and where the company goes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liviu A. | Director tehnic, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

I like how the software guides you in creating outcome-based goals and the fact that is very easy to see the progress over time.
I can also see and interact with other colleagues and even work together on projects.
The dashboards are very nice and allows you to filter the information however you like.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

There are some words that still need to be translated. Some info messages are displayed in English even though I have switched to my local language.
Nothing else outstanding at the moment, the software is friendly.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First of all Nestor brings the clarity I ever wanted - starting with the activities that I need to do, to the level of expertise I need to have and where to use it best.
It helps me clearly understand the strategic directions my company has and what are the initiatives I can propose or join based on the skills I have and my level of experience.
Nestor offers us a better way to synchronize and engage with other departments and learn what other people are working on.

  ### 41. All in one platform for skills management, performance, and career development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luiza S. | HR Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The platform is user-friendly and highly customizable. The customer support is amazing - the team at Nestor always helps us adapt the system based on our needs. The skills hub area is a great way for us to be confident about the capabilities we have at an organizational level and is a transparent way for our employees to self-evaluate their skills, get feedback from their colleagues and see their progress over time.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

Not sure I have something critical to say at the moment. Would be helpful to be able to self-customize all the emails we send to our employees. The team at Nestor is responsive to feedback coming from their customers, so I expect us to have great product updates going forward.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One-stop shop for skills, objectives, surveys, and reviews. The functionalities are well connected and the data we receive in our dashboards and reports is actionable. It also helps us increase the transparency around the strategic directions we take and the skills gaps we have at an organizational level. Our employees see their own skill gaps so that they can act on them, and identify easier what learning or career development opportunities would be suitable for their future growth.

  ### 42. Replaces Ally.io without the need to Microsoft

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Nestor helps us understand our OKRs to which we can track progress. When Microsft acquired Ally, we refused to install Microsoft Teams. We evaluated many options but, when the dust settled, we decided to use Nestor. It's easy to be able to create the OKRs, and you aren't forced into the metrics that they want you to pick - you can run your organization with "reached/not reached" metrics, while also being able to do goal points.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

They lack the notion of stretch goals. It's a little harder to create Annual/Half/Quarterly objectives - it's getting there! I would also say that the feedback we give turns into product changes that have improved the experience.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using Ally.io before but then Microsoft acquired it and put it inside of Microsoft Teams, which is a terrible product. We refuse to use Microsoft Teams because it's nowhere close to Slack in terms of quality, and Microsoft is not an OSS supporter (as much as they claim to be). Nestor helps us align around our OKRs and be an effective team - without Nestor, we would be tracking this, unsuccessfully, in a spreadsheet.

  ### 43. An essential platform to track how your team is doing and help with growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan Adrian B. | Co-founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Great way to have a high-level view over what are the skills within the team and how to best out of it. It also helps that I can easily see how they progress and what a manager can do to better impact the trajectory of each individual.

It also helps that the team at Nestor are always quick to respond to feedback and work with you to implement features that would make your life easier as a manager.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

There aren't any things that I personally dislike, but some of the team find notifications to be too frequent. I think once you have gone over the onboarding period you get used to them and can tweak them to work around your use case.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small team we don't have time to find the time to go through complicated tools to manage skills, track performance and run routine things like 360 reviews and team pulse checks. So Nestor fits right in doing all that and then some. Helps manage all these processes without too much headache and you get to see the progress in real time.

  ### 44. Very nice platform with room to grow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wendy S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

The platform is a well-designed way to connect employees' objectives, development feedback and plans. The customer service is also excellent. The team is very responsive and agile in making adjustments to the functionality as requested by their customers.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

The system could use more UX focus to ensure that it is intuitive for users, but that will likely come with more development time. Also, the administrator functionality is still limited and sometimes requires intervention from the Nestor team to complete tasks that would be helpful for admin to be able to do on their own.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nestor has been helpful as a feedback mechanism to get input on what strengths team members have as well as their opportunities for improvement. It was also been great for the cascading and tracking of annual objectives and development plans.

  ### 45. Great platform to track performance and improve my skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura Nicoleta A. | Business Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Nestor?**

Really nice and easy-to-use tool to track objectives and improve my skills. I find it very handy as it helps me stay focused on my quarterly objectives and keep track of my progress. I love how you can comment on other peers’ goals using emoticons and the variety of options I have to quantify my goals: milestones, units, or percentages. Besides the goals feature, I also like the fact that I can rate my skills level, get skills reviews from my manager and other peers, and discuss the ratings with each other.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

I don’t see any downsides at this moment.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like using Nestor because it supports my growth as an employee and allows me to get a sense of how my work impacts the company’s overall objectives. At the same time, Nestor has a great contribution in making me more responsible about my performance goals and for my development.

  ### 46. Excellent partnership and solution provider

Also the tool and functionalities cover our need to list employee skills, assess levels of expertise and competency gaps, then create development plans to improve those gaps.

**What do you dislike about Nestor?**

In not about dislike - it is about improvement tools - we propose to have more tolls in a window to minimize the operated time in the platform.

**What problems is Nestor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

more tools in the same window

  ### 48. A platform for high-performing teams
