## NameSilo Reviews
  ### 1. Deactivated paid domain with no warning then suspended entire account after I complained

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris T. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Website was easy to use for initial purchase

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Customer service was beyond horrid. I was an existing customer with 2 domains registered. I decided to register a third domain for a new non profit organization I was starting. I registered the new domain on Friday. Got the website setup email services activated with Office 365. Changed email address to the new address with many institutions. Then on Tuesday morning without warning or notice NameSilo deactivated and removed the domain from my account. I got an email at 1:47am telling me I had not filled out a Contact Information form that they never informed me needed to be filled out for .org domains. They never sent any emails or notices. They just deactivated the domain and removed it from my account. It was not visible at all in in the Control Panel. I emailed support told them it was not acciable to disable my service like that with no notice and if they did not reactive the domain I would file a chargeback with the credit card I used to place the order. I then decided after I sent the email to support that a company that would turn off a paid service like that with no advance notice or warning was not a company I was willing to put my trust in. I decided to move my domains to Network Solutions. They cost more but I know based on their policies and procedures that they would not disable my domains without advance notice and warning. So I went into the NameSilo CP removed domain transfer locks on the only two 2 domains still listed in their CP and had the transfer codes sent to my emails then went to NetSol and started the transfer process. Netsol confirmed the 2 existing domains but told me the new .org domain I had registered that NameSilo deactivated did not exist so they could not transfer it. I put in the transfer codes for the domains that could be transferred then sent another email to NameSilo telling them I was going file the chargeback since they evidently not only disabled the service but canceled the registration since NetSol said it was not a valid domain. A few minutes after I sent the last email I get a reply from their support. They reactivated the .org domain name. Did not address my complaint about turning off the domain name. Completely ignored that. They just turned the domain back on. Then they got to my later email and they sent me a email and said since you are going to file a chargeback on a VALID ORDER (not valid if they deleted it which I had emails to prove they did) they were suspending my entire account all three domains stopped working. They canceled the pending transfers of the domains to network solutions. I had to argue with them over emails for them to restore my service to all three domains. It took a bunch of going back and forth with me telling them and showing the email chain that they would absolutely lose a charge back fight and end up paying money to the merchant service. They reenabled all my services but had canceled my transfer requests to NetSol which then would not let me restart a transfer on the domains for 30 days. As soon as its humanly possible I will be moving my domains to Network Solutions.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were the problem, and they are not benefiting me. Customer service was beyond horrid. I was an existing customer with 2 domains registered. ### 2. They are still learning, at your expense

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2021

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

They haven't figured out the notice and warnings. I had set my domain to auto renew, I had entered my payment info, and they did not auto renew my domain. Fortunately, I was not on a vacation the day it happened. Apparently, you need to go to their renewal manager and put your payment info there and turn the auto renew there too.

when my domain went down, and I complained to their dupport do you know what they said? "that is the configuration that you didn't know but you put a blame on us"

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

They are not user friendly. You will highly likely lose your domains with them.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain registration

  ### 3. The refund policy is worst

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wasim U. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

They are approachable and responsive. Receive feedback.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

They do not care about their customers. I transferred a domain name in 147$ and it got wasted (because the registry did not let it move) even though I asked for refund in less than 24 hours, they are denying the refund. Reason? Transfer is complete. This is weird logic, nobody wants to cancel a transfer before it has or has not made sense to them.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I thought it would allow me to have one extra year in my transfer, instead it wasted my 147$ of transfer fee.

  ### 4. Hassle-free domain registrar

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

I have been using NameSilo for many years and never had any issues.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

I liked the previous design of their website.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single interface for all domain related activities.

  ### 5. Best Domain Registrar With Fastest DNS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satyam V. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2023

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Namesilo offers budget-friendly domain registration services with lightning-fast DNS propagation.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

I didn't find any major issues with Namesilo.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NameSilo is solving the problems of high domain registration costs and slow DNS propagation times. This benefits me by offering budget-friendly domain registration and lightning-fast DNS propagation, allowing me to launch my website quickly and affordably.

  ### 6. Logical UI, good prices

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alon D. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

UI makes sense, easy to use once you "get it", reasonable prices, not spammy.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

The UI design is kind of old school, but at least it is fast.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Purchasing and maintaining domains

  ### 7. Good Cheap Domain Provider!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Internet Marketer, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2022

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

The competitive pricing of their domains. They also offer advance notice of price increases giving customers the opportunity to buy at the current price and save money.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

The interface is a bit outdated and could do with an upgrade.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Competitively priced domains with all the TLDs as well as options to register all your brand domains cheaply with lesser known domain extensions.

  ### 8. Not the biggest, but one of the best domain registrar companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Namesilo has some of the best prices for domains compared to bigger companies. There's simple pricing with no hidden fees or upselling.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Their website user-interface can feel outdated or overwhelming. The main landing page is fine, but once you get logged in and go to account management, it looks like a website from the late 1990's and very busy looking. But if you know where to click, then you can accomplish what you want.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was able to transfer domains from GoDaddy very easily and register new ones. Namesilo lets me manage 3 websites without worrying about expiring domains, and easily create new domains in a few minutes.

  ### 9. Excellent service, support, and experience!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalvin C. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2021

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Our website was experiencing a conflict with email and website due to nameserver changes. Nii, the chat rep, helped explain the issue and was very helpful and friendly. I had to initiate a chat with our web hosting to confirm IP addresses, and she was super awesome to standby while I clarified the nameserver IPs. Since I was new to managing this, she was very patient and walked me through the process and clarifying each step and change made to make sure the records were added correctly. Thank you very much for all your help, Nii!!

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

So far, we haven't experienced anything that's unpleasant. As I continue to use their service, I'll update accordingly, if anything.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Not the cleanest interface or updated with time, but you can find what you need relatively quickly.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nameserver changes to point to our web hosting company while not creating conflict with our email service (office 365).

  ### 10. Not the prettiest interface, but the cheapest around

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2021

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Namesilo is the cheapest longterm for domain names, and they don't try to upsell all the time.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

It's not the prettiest user interface, but once you figure out what you are doing it goes very smooth.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

If you are looking for long term cheapness then Namesilo is the place.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I purchase all my domains with Namesilo. It is cheaper than anyone else and they don't upsell you to death.

  ### 11. NameSilo is Cheap and Safe - I Trust Them

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2020

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Honestly, I really love their price for .com domains: $8.99 per year. I like their easy-to-use interface that allows you to manage all of the domains in one place. I like how good they are about features that other places would normally charge you money to have. I like how they have a live chat and that you can actually push your domains from one NameSilo account to another. I like how if you actually don't need the domain you registered/purchased with NameSilo you can sell it easily from your account or just drop it altogether without having to sell it. Transferring a domain to NameSilo is also super easy and I feel like my domains are really secure with NameSilo as the registrar.

A place I really trust: LLC University, recommended NameSilo to me as what they use for their domains, and so I like how I'm using the same place as the 100% and utterly trustworthy LLC University. ;)

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

I don't dislike anything about them. They really work well for me. I noticed that if and only if you are going to sell a domain on their site, they will need to fill out a W9 form, but this is normal.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

You can sign up for an account with NameSilo before purchasing a domain. I think you can do this with most domain registrars. This is just a tip for you if you would like to see if you are comfortable with their interface before setting up a domain with them.

It is possible that you may find NameSilo to have a cluttered interface appearance, but I recommend that you don't let this intimidate or turn you off from them, because the basics are all there and really nice with the great price.

I got used to the frills of their interface after I became accustomed to it and found out where the basic tools are located. If I had left before I found out how nice the company is, I would have really been missing out.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to afford 22 domains, because of NameSilo's great pricing. I really like how they have free WHOIS. I don't want my name publicly listed on the domain registrars, and they kindly make it so that my name and address aren't revealed. I am able to have great peace of mind when using NameSilo. My privacy is safe with them and they are not complicated to use.

  ### 12. The best customer support, very kind, and detailed.

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2021

until now, there is no things i dislike it from NameSilo. everything still good

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

for newbie in domain business, for small company and startup, the best support

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

sell my domain, navigate me to the right path

  ### 13. Happy to knowingly permit fraud

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2020

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

There's absolutely nothing to like about Namesilo.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Namesilo are the registrar for a large number of domains being used to host fraudulent LEGO websites. These websites are advertising discount LEGO using compromised Facebook accounts. They appear to be conducting credit card fraud.

Namesilo have been repeatedly told about these sites and whilst they have eventually suspended some of the domains, they refuse to take action against others which are pointing to identical web sites.
Namesilo require that all reports are made via an online form and any emails sent to their published abuse@ email address are ignored or receive a boiler plate response telling you to use the form.
Some reports made via the form have mysteriously disappeared and Namesilo claim that they cannot find them. They refuse to investigate this or to do anything about domains which they have been repeatedly informed of via email. They seem to enjoy being obstructive and unhelpful.

Namesilo have also done nothing to proactively investigate all of these linked domains, identify other domains, or close down the account(s) which are constantly registering new domains expressly for the purpose of fraud.

Essentially, as long as they get paid, Namesilo don't care and are happy to permit fraud. Presumably this is why they appear to be the registrar of choice for fraudsters.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Stay as far away from Namesilo as possible.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no benefits to Namesilo. The internet would be significantly improved if they went out of business.

  ### 14. Very Nice Place To Buy Domains

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita S. | Anita Singh I am Senior Marketing Consultant , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

I love the fact they are among those few registrars that offer very affordable prices and don't charge extra for WHOIS protection. Very smooth purchase and renewal process. It supports multiple payment gateways.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Nothing much here but yes their design is bit outdated and the UI reminds of old websites. Although this has never caused any problems for me.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Namesilo is a great place to buy domains at affordable prices. They also offer discounts from time to time and offer free whois protection. What else does anyone need when it comes to purchasing domains. Recommended

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that I have been able to solve here is buying domains at prices that don't burn my wallet. I love the free whois protection with every domain for lifetime without any addition charges.

WHOIS privacy some others offer it for free for limited times, at NameSilo protecting identity is completely free. Free parking of my domains and the ability to keep 100% of the advertising revenue generated.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

At the domain registration it's currently limited to check 10 tld extentions of choice not so bad but could be a little more since there are tons of extentions.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

CSV domain exports with or without transfer codes is a very good practise.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing several domains could be really pain. NameSilo allows me to overcome the difficulty with many ways, easy to use and very practical.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard C. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2019

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Namesilo is without any doubt the cheapest domain registration i know, there are many other domain registrars who might offer a domain for one or two dollars but they got huge renewal charges or the discount is only applicable to the first domain. when it comes to namesilo the domain registration costs around seven dollars for a .com domain which is really cheap. there is also additional discounts available when you buy domains in bulk. they offer free privacy along with the domain registration which is not popular around other registrars who usually charges fees around ten dollars for the service.
the domain management tools are also great ,there is a domain protection service which serures your account and domains from getting hijacked. there are DNS Management tools, Privacy management, domain locking and much more. another option you have with namesilo is the ability to park the domain with 100% revenue to the user which isn't common. they also have their own marketplace for selling and buying domains. as for domain name registration, its really simple you just have to select the domains you need and checkout, there is a huge list of TLD's available from which you can choose the perfect name for your website.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

There is no hosting available which is not a big issue but still, it would be great if they provided the service. the interface isn't that good and need improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Namesilo is the cheapest domain registrar for .com domains, I'm a huge fan of their service and i highly recommend them.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 24. Full-featured registrar with fantastic pricing, great support and no upsells

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maximillian L. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2019

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

There are many features that other registrars charge for that NameSilo gives you for free, including WHOIS privacy, parking, redirects, and email forwarding.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

I wish they would support ALIAS DNS records. Also, their DNS interface works fine for one domain but it's a little clunky for editing multiple domains at once.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I keep my domains at NameSilo because it's the cheapest registrar out there, has good customer service, and is not owned by an internet behemoth such as Google, CloudFlare, GoDaddy or EIG.

  ### 25. An Amazing Domain Registrar

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NDIDI E. | NDIDI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2019

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

The domain search system that compiles all your previous searches and compares prices for different extensions.
Transparent pricing system - The best renewal price I've ever seen.
Prompt support, responds in few minutes.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Renewal is on by default - Learnt the hard way.
Clumsy navigation, hard to locate features.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

They have a great domain research system, no captcha while searching and free whois for every domain.
Highly recommended.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain research and registration.
Free whois for domains.

  ### 26. Email support only - never on chat!

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

I thought their pricing was decent, and I had read they had Chat support...

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Interface and console are NOT user-friendly. Knowledgebase and help files are mostly useless. Takes hours to figure out how to do something unless you're a pro.

They provide EMAIL SUPPORT ONLY as are NEVER ONLINE FOR CHAT - even in the middle of the day. No phone support whatsoever either. Even in a crunch when begging for help in email. Takes way to long to get responses.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

I saw their new site soon to be released... it's not much better for the API. I would find another company.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to get webpage live (contact info via Parked page), but cant until I get more help.

  ### 27. Cheap and Reliable Domain Regisering Service

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sina J. | Research Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

I think the characteristic feature of this company is the focus on affordability. They offer domain registration for a very competitive price. They also provide a very good control panel to manage your domains including the level of privacy in whois queries, dns settings, domain forwarding, etc.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

While they have a good response time on their support system the quality of responses are not effective most of the time. You need to go through a back and forth lengthy discussion to solve your issues.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

I think it is a good option for the money you pay.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a company what needed registering a considerable number of domains just for research purpose, the cost and accessibility were two main factors for us that NameSilo provided both for us. As a technical company we didn't need that much support from them so the lack of a good quality support system was less of a concern for us.

  ### 28. True and Professional Domain Provider ¡Best Prices!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario U. | Diseño y Desarrollo Web, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Been using Namesilo for quite a long time and they are truly a transparent and efficient domain provider. You have all and more of the feature you would expect for a more known name but in a professional and direct way. You can trust in their service expecting that your purchase value is safe and is considered as important, no matter if you only have 1 or 1000 domains. Prices are low, sustainable and only vary prior external circunstances. Definitely your #1 choice for centralizing your domains

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

That they don´t support my specific country domain, but I know is out of their competence. Miss a save searchs or favorites domains for later purchase. Obtaining know and then discount coupons or less number of purchase s to obtain a discount.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Stop looking in other domain provider and give it a try, you would be satisfied with their simplicity and transparent policies.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central purchase and management of domains for clients and personal interests. Obtaining the best price for maximizing benefits when managing clients services. No looking in every provider and wasting time comparing prices

  ### 29. Best domain Registrar

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nathan C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

the pricing provided by namesilo is absolutely outstanding, there is no other service I've come across provides domains at those rates. they also do not restrict the pricing to the first domain registration like provided by godaddy and there are additional discounts when you order in bulk, above 49 domains which are cool. the support is absolutely great, i mean they are one of the best I've come across. they replied quickly to my questions and very satisfied with them. another thing about them is the user interface, you can manage your domain very easily when registered with them, there are shortcuts to every setting like nameservers and dns. the DNS management option provides you with a wide variety of options and templates that you can apply to the domain. another interesting feature is the domain defender service that helps you save your domain from theft and is very essential where domain theft and piracy is everywhere.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

they do not provide hosting which is really bad considering that most of the other major domain registrars also provide hosting. also, they provide very limited offers comparing to other major providers.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

when it comes to domain registration, they provide the cheapest domains in the market when you don't use any coupons. also they dont provide hosting so if youre a newbie who get into the market i recommend you to stay away cause you could easily mess up the dns settings although their support is pretty awesome and really helpful.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Registering domain name with them. they are the cheapest domain registrar i've come across and the support is also pretty impressive.

  ### 30. Cheap Domain Names and Secure Registrar

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tunde S. | Founder and Blogger, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

The prices of their domain name are very cheap as NameSilo offers a very interesting price. As a matter of fact, I once search for a .com domain name which normally costs around $11 but on NameSilo website, it was just $7

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

I haven't found none for now. Although i would like NameSilo to enable one to sell his domain names from another registrar on their website

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

If you are looking to buy domain names especially .com and .org for a very cheap prices, you should give Namesilo a try

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding domain names for a cheap price

  ### 31. Easy and hassle-free domain registration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

NameSilo is the cheapest registrar out there. Their control panel is insanely simple and lightning fast. They provide FREE lifetime WHOIS protection with no attempted upselling. This has been one of the best registrars I've worked with.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Their website looks pretty out of date and it gives you the impression that it's a little spammy. Still, it's extremely fast compared to dashboards like Namecheap so I'd rather take speed and Web 2.0 design over "pretty" but slow like Namecheap's interface.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

This is one of the best registrars I've used. Namecheap and Hover seem to be lauded as the best ones out there at the moment but NameSilo is, in my opinion, the best out there. It's currently the underdog since it doesn't have the presence that other companies have but it gets the job done better than anyone.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NameSilo is a hassle-free registrar. I like that they don't try to be a registrar, a web host, a marketing company, etc. They just do cheap domain registration, and that's all I'm looking for in a registrar. I used to register my previous company's domains on NameSilo and I will be migrating my personal ones from Namecheap once they are up for renewal.

  ### 32. Best registrar for general TLDs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Srinivasa R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Very competitive pricing, easy domain control and management panel, regular and expired domain marketplace, low commission, free WHOIS privacy (long before the EU requirement forced others to offer it free as well), easy payment options, instantaneous support.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

The discount scheme forces fixed funding, so don't use it. But doesn't matter really - it's compensated by some other things that cost elsewhere :)

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Don't even think, just switchover. Ever since I switched to NameSilo, there have only been transfer-ins. No transfer-outs except when a domain was sold.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of my domains now are with Namesilo. Saved quite a bit with free privacy.

  ### 33. Great for the Admin, Not for the Bookkeeper

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Easy integrations make domain management a breeze. I don't need to spend the time using their portal when the software I already have will show me all the relevant information by pulling it from their API.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

The discount program makes it difficult to be able to have a separate transaction for each domain bought with a payment account without buying the next six or seven years at a time.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

NameSilo is definitely a competitive solution in the domain market. Just make sure the way their billing works is going to be fine with your companies policies as that was the only downfall I had with them.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to track domains from my own dashboard makes ensuring configurations a breeze.

  ### 34. NameSilo is very inexpensive, but not cheap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Edward S. | Director of Product, Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2018

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

Their tools are much better for bulk transactions than their competition.

It is very no nonsense, no upsells, like ever!

Includes domain privacy. Their tech folks are really top notch.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

seriously, I can't even complain about anything of substance. I guess, I don't like their color scheme. they could tart up their UI a bit.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Do it, you won't miss the over billing.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Registrar that is inexpensive and has decent tools. We were tired of the up sells and over billing.

  ### 35. Great service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Demetrius J. | Web Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2018

It is the best domain name provider i could ever find, the others all have something wrong, the payment gateway, the options, the support. Here is all good, and the prices are very good for the buyer.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

Nothing bad to say about them, very well done

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

domain name provider

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

The most cheapest price domain register and Whois privacy policy free, ICANN approved, safety and affordable, easy to use.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain register, domain transfer, Saving money and easy to process with namesilo.

  ### 37. A new rise competitor in the Domain Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2016

**What do you like best about NameSilo?**

The pricing tiers are great, as other providers are requiring expensive fees on domain creation, transfer, or renewals, Namesilo is doing their expertise to keep the price down. It is also great for domain parking, as they provide different themes for the parking page, custom text or slogans you can display, and most importantly, Namesilo can also handle domain transfer via auction/market-selling. Great to have this feature when you have couple of domain unwanted, but want to make them as a profit.

Free WHOIS privacy is their gimmick, however that's a big plus to most of us. We don't need to disclose all or even partial information to the public, makes our profile safer, and away from spam. However me myself keeps the WHOIS profile public, to allow certain transparency for my customer to see and gain their trust. Though this action brings us alot of spammy WHOIS junk mail.

**What do you dislike about NameSilo?**

The panel is a pain in the ass, as you will find there is A LOT of "managers" inside the system, which can be simplified as some other easy-to-understand names, I guess that's their disadvantage.

No Strip payment is a big minus, but as long as they are accepting PayPal, Credit Cards, BitCoin, Skrill, Dwolla, and also Wired transfers, I am happy with that.

As for the API part, it is a nightmare while Namesilo didn't provide any SDK for developers, made us to count on ourselves. However there is a plenty plugins for billing solutions like Blesta or WHMCS, so reselling is not a problem.

**Recommendations to others considering NameSilo:**

Cheap, easy to use, various tlds with decent renewal price.

**What problems is NameSilo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly this would be pricing issue, as we have facing a tons of domains need to be consolidate, while for the long term price is the main issue, NameSilo has gave us a great price tier to maintain our plan. Also the drop-catch feature is great, that way we can plan a long term project without the worry on purchasing domains.
