**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Steep Learning Curve: N-central offers a broad range of features, which can make the platform overwhelming for new users or smaller MSPs. Setting up and configuring the system can be complex and time-consuming.

currently I see no problems

  ### 2. Great tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego E. | Senior ICT Customer Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The best feature that N central has is to allow me to manage many clients all at the same time and keep them up to date.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

N central software deployment needs to be fined tuned to allow file transfer and program installation to be done in a single step.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It benefits me allowing me to manage a large amount of devices at the same time.

  ### 3. N-Able Reivew

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

the concept of all in 1 is great, that I can go from looking at the CDM of the device, to remote login either Windows / Putty or what ever without exiting the program.

Overall product is a great value for my company, most of the service team appreciatesd the ease of use, and the consistency of the experience.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The interface is still a bit clunky.

Should intergrate better with Passportal and other password managers.

Windows update has been a problem in the past, and sometimes still seems to be an issue.

Also cleanup of discovered devices, previous jobs. I have opened tickets in the past and the results of, too bad that is the way it is.

N-Able has changed various vendors that make integration some what difficult, I understand they have bought their own backup solution.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

centralized monitoring for all environments, consistent interface for support staff. Remote Desktop is great in that it gives console access, not RDP access.
all these with the additional abilities, remote start etc help make the service more seemless.

  ### 4. Remote Management Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I enjoy a lot of the features about N-central.

It makes rebooting and running scripts significantly easier to schedule than other RMM solutions I used in the past

I also enjoy that there is a robustness to it if you understand how to use the filters and rules systems to it.

Scheduling maintenance and downtime is a cinch and sending out mass changes is easy if you understand the above.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Monitoring can be a chore at times and there are specific features that are clunky.

Also, the built in Take Control remote access tool is not as stable as it could/should be compared to other tools I have used.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central's patch management tool is extremely robust and can be extremely customizable based on the needs of the clients.

Working remotely to address issues through the system level command prompt also makes working on systems without interfering with the clients day.

N-Able is an excellent all in one platform MSPs to allow organizations to effectively monitor devices and get ahead of potential headaches with excellent and customizable monitoring tools and automatic ticket creation/closing.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

When it comes to organizations that contain both Apple and Windows devices, the Apple features are a bit lacking, but improving.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When managing a great number of devices, it can't be difficult to get an overall outlook of device health, Nables monitoring and reports helps a lot in this aspect

  ### 10. N-central is easily the most reliable RMM I've ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian H. | Senior Network Engineer/Escalations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Properly configured, N-central can automate almost any administration task. Since switching over to using N-central, we are reliably patching our endpoints, (including Mac and Linux machines) and automations are removing the repetitive work so our engineers can be proactive. It's just better in every way.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I wish there was a way to import SNMP MIBs to add support for devices that N-central can't natively detect.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our patching was occasionally unreliable before moving to N-central. Since the switch, I've heard our patching reports referred to as "gospel" by our reporting manager.

  ### 11. Master of few, jack of all

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central allows me basic RMM needs of all flavors where traditionally I might have to have RMM1 for Windows devices and RMM2 for network devices.

Patch management has really been improved upon in the last few years

The ability to make custom monitors from our own scripts turned into automation policy objects.

Custom Properties for organization units or devices is a game changer.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

N-Central is not topology aware so if you have a device go down anything behind that device, or on that device, is going to send an alert or ticket.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with the use of custom properties, API calls, and Automation Manager we have been able to create custom monitors to alert on problems in other platforms, such as if a device gets moved to the wrong folder in our anti-virus management portal.

  ### 12. Great RMM platform for any size MSP companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander B. | IT Operations Engineer and CyberSecurity Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Amicable interface. 5 min max training to start.
Many features are helpful. This is out of out-of-the-box product that you can start using from day one.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

not really. May be price model could be high for one man shop

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to patch, easy to install apps.

  ### 13. Stable platform with improving API

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

It's been a great system for organizing our client devices and being able to automate day-to-day tasks. With the REST API, we've been able to leverage integration with our PSA (Halo) to a greater degree as well.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Without a WAF like Cloudflare in front of N-Central (non-hosted), it can be pretty exposed. Would like to see faster implementation of the ideas that partners present during events.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us keep most of our interactions remote without having too many techs in the field, and the AMP/scripting profile model allows us to take advantage of a lot of self healing, like around printer queues hanging.

  ### 14. Powerful RMM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon C. | Security Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-central ships with not a lot of options however its extremely customizable. Once the time was put into development our instance does 98% of the things we need from it.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Some features that have been requested for years haven't been added. Custom SNMP monitors can only have thresholds on Integer values and not strings.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central is our primary platform for remote access, management, monitoring, and patch control for our clients systems.

  ### 15. N-able N-central Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Amazing asset management, and great way to consolidate everything you need to know about customers' devices. Patch management is easily managed as well.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The reporting can be a bit clunky for my taste.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of having services across different platforms, N-central consolidates them into one.

  ### 16. Pretty powerful tool, but there are some annoyances.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evgeniy K. | Senior Network Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Greate remote access tool for server, windows machines, and Macs.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Assets do not update their names, IP addresses automatically. Too many 3rd party portals are introduced now.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily get remote access to client's machines, patch them automatically and blacklist all the bad patches. EDR deployment is easy for Windows machine, but nightmare for Macs.

  ### 17. powerful, usable, flexible rmm with some rough edges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The integration with Take Control is outstanding for our help desk technicians. The managed asset inventory reports in report manager is tremendous for lifecycle planning.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The interface for automation manager is frustrating and has a horrible learning curve. I know how to write powershell scripts, but I cannot figure out how to make it run on my endpoints in such a way that I can run monitors or alerts against it.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every department uses ncentral as part of our daily responsibilities, it's indispensable to our operations. We could not maintain the level of service that our customers expect without ncentral.

N-central is a complex setup, there are occasional issues with updates and stability, customer support responsiveness is ok, but not great. Pricing varies quite a bit sometimes. Negotiating the price can yield better results.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central solved a many of our challenges by providing centralized monitoring, proactive detection, automation, enhanced security, scalability, and insights. It improved operational efficiency, reduced downtime, helps bolster security fairly easily, and scales to business growth.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash a. | Information technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I use ncentral on daily basis. I like the automation and scripting option the most as I use it often to push the scripts. Moreover, like the detailed info of the systems in the portal and option to manage and trouble shoot the device without remoting in the systems.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes, Eventhough the device is online, it takes time to remote in and shows it is offline. Also, after the ncentral agent installation, it shows not configured and have to reinstall it to get it working. I am sure it will be better over the time and updates.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management, Automation and EDR management

  ### 24. N-Able N-Central RMM is Awesome!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dspink@wolfconsulting.com S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central is very powerfull and has many useful features. Our MSP switched from Kaseye to N-Central in 2015 and it was a huge improvement. All of us find it easy to use and use it every day for many things. We have been able to integrate N-Central into various other systems that our MSP uses.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The only thing that I would like to see improved is the reporting. The current Report Manager is a little clunky.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central est un outil qui nous aide à mieux gérer nos clients au quotidien. Les nouvelles intégrations de l'EDR ont été excellentes et la promotion pour le déployer nous a également aidés à obtenir une grande adhésion des clients.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I found that some of the sales staff have been more focused on sales than helping us meet our needs and listening to what needs our clients have.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensure our clients have good uptime and machines are secure while removing the need for on-site slow response times.

**Reviewed by:** Ian M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Patch management and soon to be automation

  ### 31. Overall good. Support is disappointing, release cycle needs to slow down and focus on stable builds

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Ability to configure a multitude of settings and having granular control.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

- Support
- Auditing is atrocious... been saying it's coming with analytics for years but still awful.
- GA builds feel more like beta builds while the RC feels like alpha. Not enough testing at all and feels like it's being pushed by an agenda, not caring about end users
- probe scanning is sub-par. Subnet masks are limited and a lot of customers are moving away from hardware / domains and into azure ad so it's tough to scan. No raspberry- pi probe ability / Linux ability to send out to client. Cheap and easy.
- re-install agent without probe

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing patching, monitoring and remote conteol with enterprise environments.
