# What are the best rated employee engagement platforms for startups?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 community, I’ve been trying to figure out the best rated employee engagement platforms for startups as we start putting a bit more structure around feedback and team culture without slowing things down. At an early stage, things are naturally aligned. But as the team grows, we’re trying to be intentional about keeping feedback loops and recognition consistent without introducing something that feels too heavy.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">While exploring options in the <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/employee-engagement">employee engagement software category</a>, these tools kept coming up repeatedly:</p><ol>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/lattice-lattice/reviews"><strong>Lattice</strong></a> – Combines engagement with performance and goal tracking, which could help startups build structure without separate tools.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/culture-amp/reviews"><strong>Culture Amp</strong></a> – Known for engagement surveys and benchmarking, especially useful as teams start scaling.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/leapsome/reviews"><strong>Leapsome</strong></a> – Covers engagement, learning, and performance in one platform, which might reduce tool sprawl.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/workvivo/reviews"><strong>Workvivo</strong></a> – Helps build communication and culture through a central internal platform.</li>
</ol><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">What I’m trying to understand is how much structure is actually helpful at this stage.</p><ul>
<li>What worked for you without adding too much process early on?</li>
<li>Did you start simple and layer tools later, or go all-in from the beginning?</li>
<li>Which tool felt the most natural for your team to adopt?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;In early teams, adoption usually matters more than features. I think the simpler tool often ends up being the one that sticks.&lt;/p&gt;
