Patch Management is almost a set and forget experience.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex F. | 2nd Line Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central is an easy to use platform that is useful for gathering info about individual machines and remotely accessing them, whether it is directly using Take Control or via Remote Command Prompt. The customer support is always accessible for us as well.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

N-Central's use of filters are very clunky in how they are implemented, and the integrated features such as DNS Filter and Sentinel One can be cumbersome to setup, as they frequently fail to install properly.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use N-Central for the monitoring and management of all our client workstations and servers. It allows us to keep an eye on the performance and health of the machines and their relevant apps/services. It also allows us to deploy scripts and apps across multiple machines at once. Finally, we use it for remotely accessing servers and workstations, which grants us alot of flexibility in actioning helpdesk tickets.

  ### 5. Responsive and quick to determine and resolve issues.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin A. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The easy and speed of use are what makes it our favorite of the RMM tools on the market.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

It would be nice to have some information available about devices without having to go to a device itself, such as when creating an automation script.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to dispatch and repair equipment before a customer realizes there is a problem.

  ### 6. Great customisability, fantastic remote access tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Veterinary | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-central offers a lot of customisablity to allow you to monitor almost any Windows service or stat you can think of.
The Take Control remote access tool is top-of-the-line, offering quick and easy remote access not only to control the session, but run commands, access the file system and view the registry and other stats. N-central is a daily part of my workflow.

The built-in Automation Manager is a great supplement to powershell.

N-able has extensive documentation on their software, and their support team is quick to respond when you can't find a solution.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The UI can be a little confusing, particularly the menus (the "Administration" vs the "Configuration" tabs) and the filters (it's not obvious when you have a filter applied, and filters don't remove themselves like most other programs).

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central provides our remote monitoring, patching and remote access.

  ### 7. One stop shop for all my MSP needs

I appreciate the ease of access to all the tools that I need and the ability to offer my customers just the level of service that they need. The integration tools work very well with our ticketing system. It is quick to get ahold of support when you need it, and they are NOT outsourced!

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

There are no downsides that I can think of. I am satisfied.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central has helped me get all of my customers backing up to the cloud, and I can easily verify that their data is secure. I can remotely access any of my customers to support them, and I know they have trustworthy AV/EDR protection under one roof.

Instant remote support either via remote control or accessing command prompt and file systems for quiet fixes for problems.

  ### 11. Most essential tool in my toolbox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I've been relying on N-able's N-central for over 10 years, and it keeps getting better. Improvements are well thought out and useful. They make a real effort to connect with their user community through live training, community forum involvement, and the availability of one on one calls with experts in the various areas of N-central.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes the only way to do something within N-central is the N-central way to do it. I'm probably spoiled by how much you can customize that sometimes I wish I could customize it even more.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central lets us quickly monitor thousands of endpoints and proactively address issues before they become an issue for our users. N-central's built in monitoring tools are fantastic, but it can also monitor and alert on issues discovered through running custom scripts, SNMP traps, log events, or just about anything else you can think of.

  ### 12. Beautiful and very useful experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I like about N-central that I can monitor all our customers' devices and provide them with assistance when they need it, I also have access to monitoring all our systems as well as the ability to release patches and automatic scripts that allow me to automate the my time.
I use it daily for my work and the technical support is responsive and always available to resolve various problems.
A peculiarity of n-central is that it can be integrated and implemented on any system and this is very useful for me, its ease of use is also very simple and intuitive

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

In my opinion it should also be implemented on Linux systems giving the possibility of connecting remotely there too

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central helps optimize my work and monitoring processes thanks to its automatic reports

  ### 13. share my experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno B. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Centralized and powerfull application to remote manage endpoints

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes it seens a old tool, like a tool that was not updated

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I perform patch and also some automations

  ### 14. Easy setup and intricate if you need it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

They have so many tools to get what you need done, done. In the ever-changing workspace the need to do things remotely increases and N-able's tools give us the ability to do so and do so with relative ease.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Getting support is sometimes not the easiest thing. There have been a few times where their level 1 team isn't able to provide the support you need. Beyond that when there are things that you want to try and solve within their dashboard they don't offer much in implementing more complicated automations or solutions.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating a lot of tasks is fantastic. And the ability to push commands remotely also is amazing. More than that, having one central location that all of our customers reside in is fantastic, especially for remote support.

  ### 15. N Central: A User-Friendly Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Desiree W. | SOC Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N Central is a tool that our team fruenquently uses due to it's user friendly experience. There are a number of features we use often such as take control, patch management, analytics, and the monitoring has been extremely helpful to us as cybersecurity professionals. Additionally, the customer support we have received when running into an issue has been excellent, often exceeding expectations.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The patch management set up can be confusing at times and could definitely be made easier to configure.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to remotely access our customer's devices when they are needing our assitance with troubleshooting

  ### 16. N-Central is easy to learn and feaure rich.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

There is a large amount of detailed documentation. It is intuitive to use and learn (for the most part). There are a large number of features. It is easy to configure and the correct use of rules means almost no repitition is required. The software integrates excellently with our PSA solution and have never had an issue with ticket generation.
Customer support is great and quick to respond, in the years I have been working with N-Central, there have only been a handful of long term support cases, most are resolved within an hour.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes when troubleshooting an issue (e.g. for agent installation issues), the documentation is scattered around and there are bits of information relevant to your issue spread across numerous pages in differing locations.
Custom services could be more powerful, especailly SNMP data type conversions, which would allow for the setting of monitoring thresholds for non-integer values.
If remote connections are allowed through firewalls from N-Central, then it can be a high risk asset, escpecially for security focused customers. We had to put a large amount of thought into how to reduce this risk, protect the public interface and more importantly - protect the endpoints from external threats. I think N-Central could provide more comprehensive guides / cookbooks covering security best practises for N-Central.
N-Central is very heavily focussed on IT environments - not so good for OT environments e.g. PLC/ICS monitoring.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of resources to manually patch devies and manage EDR/AV solutions - allows us to focus more of our engineering resources on projects instead of maintenance.
Reduces the spread of scheduled tasks by having a centralised repository and task execution scheduler.

  ### 17. Great software to fill our needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanin M. | Admistrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Being able to script things. Also being able to schedule things

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Not being able to customize dashboards..

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to connect to pcs seamlessly.

  ### 18. Great tool for RMM functionality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2019

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The built-in deployment of patching and EDR is hugely helpful as an MSP. Remote monitoring of the health of critical hardware has enabled us to prevent or quickly remediate issues and problems that would have otherwise caused major downtime. Now that EDR has been fully integrated, implementation to customers is even more simplified as we only have one item to manually install. All of our users are logged in to N-Central every single day to accomplish a variety of tasks depending on their work load. It is not often needed, which is a good thing, but support is typically very responsive. Very excited about the facelift and ease of access to more features and more data that was announced today at the all-partners meeting.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Biggest complaint has to do with the looks of the software itself. Things are not super clean or easy to look at, but it seems that the proposed changes after years of feedback from the community has potential to solve this complaint.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventative maintenance is a huge problem solved. This tool has enabled us to truly offer high-level managed services.

  ### 19. I save time and manage my IT resources better thanks to N-able N-central.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-able N-central integrates very well into my digital ecosystem; it has allowed me to smoothly monitor the network status, resource usage efficiency, and the correct operation of key services. Similarly, it facilitates configuring custom alerts according to different server parameters, and the management of both software and hardware inventory of our infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The platform does not have an online support chat; it would have been ideal to have accessible and real-time support to quickly resolve my questions.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-able N-central has helped me save valuable time in the remote management of computers and other devices. Receiving detailed and automated reports on alerts based on certain thresholds has improved my performance and keeps me informed of any user policy violations or system irregularities.

  ### 20. A good MSP with great potential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I love that I can manage so many devices at once. Setting up new service templates, rules and filters is super easy. Thanks to N-Central, customer support is also much easier and faster than without it. Many problems are solved within a very short time by self-healing actions alone, so that the customer usually doesn't even notice anything. I use N-Central every day. I am responsible in the company for ensuring that N-Central works smoothly and it does so most of the time.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I find it really annoying that I can't edit filters that my colleagues have created. I haven't been with the company very long and a few other colleagues before me have been fiddling around in N-Central. But as they are still working here, I have to nag them every time something needs to be adjusted in a filter.
Unfortunately, it is only possible to create custom services with the Automation Manager. It would be great if this could also be done directly via a script. Currently, I always write my Powershell scripts and then insert them into an AMP. This is a bit cumbersome.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us with patch management. So our customers don't have to worry about broken or faulty updates being installed. Regular restarts also help us in this respect, as this promotes customer security.

  ### 21. Ease to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giuseppe O. | It Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

ready to start, ease implementation, customer support

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

false positive, demo is not possible without a payment

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with one console a control of backup in cloud, take control, monitoring

  ### 22. N-Central Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthur W. | Pre-Sales Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central is a truly powerful tool. It offers a wide range of functions, and is very powerful in terms of automation.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

It would be nice to refresh the interface and menu options

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very easy to quickly manage our IT assets. What's more, for protection against threats/vulnerabilities/updates, it's very interesting. Automation plays a very important role too

  ### 23. N-Central is an easy to use but hard to master software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The grouping of companies are easy to manage and easy to access client machines.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Not being able to expand columns in all devices tab.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It aids in managing client machines and logging in remotely to assist clients.

It is an easy-to-use RMM. Displays a lot of information but does not scream at you and clutter your screen.

The simple one-click actions to get things done save a lot of time when assisting multiple users simultaneously.

It is easy to use and fast to access in times of need.

  ### 24. One of the best RMMs on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob S. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Ease of implementation
Product 'just works'
One of the only RMM solutions that you can host on-prem
Product conforms with our security regulations that we need to follow as a business

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

There is no prepetual licensing option when purchasing N-central
Wish product was sold 'as-is' without the need for the addons

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central was able to solve our issue of manageing all of our technology assets in one portal. From a technical standpoint, being able to remotely assist our users, lets us give the companies users higher quality of technical support. We can also prevent issues before they occur with N-central.

  ### 25. Product that provides more than just a Monitoring or Remote Assistance Tool.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

N-Central has been a product that I have used for years across many businesses. The features that are provided through this software is fantastic and it keeps excpanding. I have been part of a full implementation as well as a modification to an exisiting setup and no matter what the situation the Support Teams have been available for help if it is needed. We use N-Central on a daily basis intigrating it with AutoTask for creating tickets and it work great and is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Some of the Documentation online is confusing to read and get through and a technical mind is needed.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central is solving a big issue with Patch management for us and an notifies us when these are not working.

  ### 26. Master IT Maintenance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ☁ Diego L. | Cloud Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Versatility, integration, all in one. Best in class.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Annual contract, complicated licensing

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Licensing

  ### 27. It works, which has helped me N-Able me to do my work!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander L. | Tier 3 Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

It works as intended and I found the user interface to be intuitive.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The backstage options could be more indepth as seen in competing products. I also want to do this without the endpoint devices knowing I'm doing it.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to remote on and manage endpoint devices quickly and efficiently. It also helps me stop services on devices while trying to troubleshoot a problem.

  ### 28. N-Central makes managing and monitoring easy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin G. | IT Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

What I like the best about N-cenral is the Integrations. Integrations such as SentinelOne and Cove make N-Central great. I like being able to remote into a PC at the click of a mouse. All the scripts in the cookbook are very helpful and makes configuring PC's very easy.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I wish I could access all the Integrations directly from one place instead of having to sign in to them. For example I have to sign into N-Able, then I can sign into Cove and Passportal but I cannot sign into SentinelOne from there. The SSO is helpful but I do wish they were all integrated together in one place.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central is making Patch Management easy and being able to automate patch approval is great. The EDR is great for keeping our Client PC's safe from malicious attacks.

  ### 29. Impressive automation and patching capabilities. Built for power users where competitors are not.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew A. | Lead Security Analyst / System Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The deep customizability of the platform. The ability to create and run custom scripts, the automation engine, and the deep customizability of the patching engine, down to branding and wording on what is displayed to the user. These are what stood out from other products when we were shopping for an RMM. We were able to quickly hit the ground running when it was deployed, deployment was relatively hassle free, and a lot of the platform, once you understand it, makes sense. It is complex, but most of it has a reason for being so.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I would prefer it be agent-centric rather than probe-centric, but agent functionality is good enough that we were still able to use it in a probeless fashion. At times when running it in the cloud, lack of access to server backend logs, System level settings, and the database and such has given us difficulties, particularly when troubleshooting issues. On the plus side at least support, while it could be a lot faster and Level 1 support often misunderstands the issue, experts are reachable ultimately, and once I do support from then on is of good quality and can help me get the answers I need and resolve complex issues, get device ID's, data dumps, etc. Things would just go faster if I had more access to the entire backend, or better APIs such that I could get access to low level data or perform queries to figure out what is going on internally when a new machine is refusing to provision, for example. I also don't love the fact that we are in a shared environment with other companies. There have been times where it has noticably caused issues and I've seen records from other companies, which means there are ways they can see ours. I'm not able to request that support perform a reboot of our server if it's in a bad state, because we are beholden to other companies. There should be an option to not be in this position, and to run on our own server with full access to server settings, despite it being in the cloud. Lastly, the UI as it pertains to end users could use improvements. There are several automations where I would like to give the user a choice on how to proceed, or show information to the user before proceeding, and without very VERY creative hacks, I'm currently unable to do so in most cases. The automation engine is very good but is just shy of being extremely powerful for advanced automations that would really help me out and provide a great end user experience, which I could then share with other customers.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Able has largely solved our patching, deployment, and automation woes. We now utilize N-Able more than we use Windows GPOs, because of the robust and deep customizability, and it being so reliable. En large, I can get the things I need done and get the information I need with N-Able, where other tools are either unreliable or just plain don't offer the same power user capabilities.

  ### 30. An RMM solution that actually delivers and is usable by mere mortals.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James N. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

We like the usability and performance above all. It is simply to navigate and the UI is logical and well organised. The tool is quick and responsive to use and not daunting for somebody who is just getting started with it. Under the hood it is extremely powerful and has plenty of built-in bells and whistles. Also, anything custom we need to create, is straightforward to do with a bit of effort and doesn't require deep technical or programming skills.

After using a competitor product that left us completely underwhelmed, it was a joy to our hands on an RMM tool that actually delivers on what it sets out to do..make a technician's life easier and offload routing tasks from them!

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Some of the integrations are not multi-platform, Windows & Mac

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing customer endpoints and infrastructure at scale.
Offloading routine tasks from technicians.
Affordable per endpoint management tools.
On-premise hosting of our RMM environment.
Constant product improvement and development.
Great vendor partnership and support.

  ### 36. N-central RMM: Powerful but Inconsistent

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayad H. | Head of IT Infrastructure, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

t's got everything from patching software to automating tasks. It can handle a lot of devices without getting bogged down, which is great because I manage a bunch of computers.it keeps everything organized. Plus, the fact that you can customize it with scripts and settings is a big win.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

some features feel incomplete. For example, the remote control functionality, Take Control, isn't as polished or user-friendly compared to what other RMM tools provide. Additionally, support wasn't always as helpful as I'd hoped. Getting assistance could be slow, and the solutions offered sometimes lacked depth.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central has become a real game-changer in managing all the devices I handle. Keeping software patched on every machine used to be a massive time suck, but N-central automates that entire process. Plus, there's a ton of repetitive tasks that come with managing IT systems. N-central lets me automate those.

  ### 37. This is a very professional software that can be used in so many ways.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes it can get too complicated, also support isnt the best

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resolved the patch management issue we had with our customers

  ### 38. A solid straightforward RMM with a lot of feature depth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The interface is intuitive and makes finding devices and indepth info on them very easy. Filtering system is very robust and really helps target automation and scripts as well as find what devices meet specific criteria. Integration of backups, DNS, and EDR functionality and deployment are all great value adds as well and greatly simplify deployment.

Initial implementation is easy, but fully utilizing its features and benefits takes much longer. After years of use we're still finding/implementing additional functions and improving our utilization though this is partially due to workload balance. If you can have a person dedicated to implementation and management of your RMM and other platforms this would be faster.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Mac agents and management have reliability issues and far fewer features than windows agents.
Support tickets sometimes take a bit longer than desired to resolve, calling or livechatting can get a faster response.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

since it's implementation, N-central has brought us many improvements to our device management and efficiency. Patch management saves us a lot of time, monitoring is highly customizable and gives us great insight into our customers' environment health. Its built in integration of Cove Backup is our entry level backup system for cost sensitive clients and for workstations in general. It serves as the source of MSP contract device counts for billing. We also use it to provide remote access to customer systems for both customers and vendors including MFA which is vital for security and cyber security insurance requirements, additional systems users in this manner are zero extra cost but we resell it at a nominal fee.

Its also provided to one of our clients in a comanaged situation and used extensively by their internal IT team as well who have given us positive feedback about it.

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I'm using N-Central for a long time (+10y) and have hands on experience with 2 other RMM's. N-Central is by far, the one that has the most flexibility and functionality and works for me the best with a lot of devices. Fast responses, scripts are ran immediately, very powerful filters/rules setup and extremely flexible with Custom properties. Also the SOAP and the new RestAPI are both a big pro.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Building complex filters is sometimes a tedious job and requires some creative thinking

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching and automating at large.
Easily distributing software and AV/EDR
Endpoint and M365 backups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The automation tool and service monitoring

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I wish it had the capability to use a script check like N-Sight. I was disappointed when I found it didn't considering we sold the product under the impression it had ALL the capabilities of N-Sight and more.

Also if I add a service monitor and the service isn't on the machine, it won't add the service monitor. This gets rid of capability to add a service monitor with a self-heal install to a site to guarantee no machines are missed for say EDR.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management, well

  ### 47. Very Productive

gives a single pane view to look at the status of mutliple clients and devices.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

patchmanagement can be a little difficult to get working 100%, have many devices that seem to always be trailing on patches.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us good and accurate information on the status of devices and lets us know when they go offline.

  ### 49. Great feature set, and easy to use for a catch all RMM suite.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian F. | Systems engineer I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

for RMM tools, n-central seems to have the best range of integrations, and supports the most areas. There are many available scripts, and they add new integrations frequently. They also are very educated in market trends and can help guide desinging a solution.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The product needs to have a singale pane for larger orginizations. there are needed improvement to utilize more identity providers. The product seems to scale best for smaller to mediumn size MSPs where larger 50K plus node MSPs may need a larger team to manage the overall solution.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

importing devices, and patch management, endpoint management. Automatic importing is the most useful featuer we have.

N-central has great monitoring and remote control features which allow us to ensure that our fleet stays online and operational. When doing support for clients, it allows us to check basic health signs before performing more advanced troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The user interface is very utilitarian, which is nice if you have a good understanding but can present a steep learning curve and sometimes is confusing to navigate without guidance.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-central manages patch management and device monitoring for all of our clients.
