It does take a while to get set up properly and most upgrades to N-Central require setting aside some time to review existing monitoring parameters and tweak as needed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niki L. | Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The most helpful thing about N-Central is that it is pretty much easy to use right out of the box. You do have to do som configuration but nothing like how Kaseya used to be. That is why we moved away from kaseya, too much to configure and maintain.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Great vendor partnerships within the TAP and along with the usual Remote Control, Asset Management and neo Security features are key single pane of glass approach

Strong Network Management features are lacking. Ability to get deep insight into the LAN or WAN is poor (Firewall, Switches, Routers and AP's) traffic analysis and typology mapping would still be very useful

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Convenience, easy set-up and great customer support should you need it. We use this product daily, with customer setup, management and alerts. We implementated this program with our helpdesk software ConnectWise and managing endpoints has since become easier.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I wish there was one login for all NABLE products, logging into 3/4 different platforms for the same company can be a drag.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

endpoint protection, management, and patching for security

  ### 34. really good remote managment portal

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

have full access to all the systems at the admin level and can run any script and troubleshoot any PC without leaving your chair

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

take control sometimes does not work, other than that its good.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

managing and controlling all the computers from one portal.

  ### 35. N-Central Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Very easy to manage most of my client needs from a single panel. I can see in a quick glance where the computers stand and address any issues. Of course the automation and email notifications are also wonderful.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Some of the advanced features require opening a second window. That is pretty standard and while the process is simple to get there, I love the idea of a single plane of glass.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves all the Windows updates, many 3rd party updates, security software (EDR). It makes it easy to jump on a computer and fix remotely (both interactively and non-interactively).

  ### 36. Very informative and helpful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick H. | IS Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Their platform is full of very easy and useful features. Software is very reliable in how patch management is implemented and scripting as well.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The monitor switching on an endpoint is not very helpful. We also deal with a lot of connection issues to some endpoints.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of managing our endpoints with alerting and managing all endpoints with patch management.

  ### 37. A great product for remotely managing devices.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin M. | Network Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

We use N-Central on a daily basis as it makes remotely managing assests much easier.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Occasionally we have found that the N-Central agents will not work properly and allow remote access after installation.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central allows us to have easy access to our assets remotely. It allows us to easily patch and monitor our devices.

  ### 38. Long Time Nable User

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Training material - bit slow, needs an update

Regular maintenance on PCs
Performance alerts - identify computers that require upgrades
Connectivity status, check if PCs/servers are online and alert if offline

  ### 39. Functional but with a steeper than necessary learning curve.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

The amount of information that I can get about a device at any one moment helps a lot with troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

The interface is much more complex than those of similar tools. It is also hit or miss as to whether an alert set to automatically raise a ticket will actually do so.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central saves us time through automatic patch approvals. It also provides us with information about how a device is running which, along with the Take Control option, aids us with troubleshooting.

  ### 40. Very Powerful RMM Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Remote Tool Suite is very robust allowing for remote services to resolve lots of issues remotely with solution.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Sometimes the amount of customization and flexability and get a bit overwhelming.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-Central provides our techs with a robust tool set of Remote Access tools to be able to service our clients without having to jump through several hoops. Several tools even allow for fixes without having to interrupting the end users. The Take Control solutions provides a very competative console session access to allow our Techs to be able to see the users issues first hand and assist in resolving issues.

Custom Services allow us to build our own monitoring beyond what is provided by N-Able.

Monitoring templates allow us to customize thresholds and deploy them in mass.

Sometimes it can be slow at loading, and sometimes the agent upgrades don't go through properly

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remoting onto computers, managing patches, monitoring hardware, ilo and iDrac monitoring. Basically everything we need n-central allows us to do it

  ### 42. A lot to like

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter F. | Senior Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I use N-Able N-central every day, and find it's patching, maintenance window and remote scripting the most useful features. It takes a while to learn the concepts involved but they make sense what you grasp them. Customer support is very good, with rapid response and depth when needed. 1st line responses are usually on the money.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I'd say some of the locations of the settings seem arbitrary, with little obvious difference between the administration and configuration sections, for example.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to remotely run scripts across many machines can solve lots of problems across desktop/mobile estates whether connected to a domain or not.

  ### 43. Going well, expecting more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naimi d. | service engineer / programmer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Easy to work with, is great for managing mobile devices. Its nice that it has a on-premises option.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Is on the slower side compared to N-able N-sight RMM. The price is not depended on the size you need to use it, which would be great for lagre company but not so great for small bussiness.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N-able has remote control, because of this i can troubleshoot and maintenance from everywhere.

  ### 44. Patching Masterclass

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

I appreciate the 3rd part patch support integration and visual Dashboards showing you status/compliance

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Despite proper thresholds / configuration flags show "green" despite critical updates were not processed having lead to a miss

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance / patching / system status

  ### 45. Love the customisation and automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Love the customisation and automation, I can see this transitioning the way we do business.
The options available are great.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Dark mode not available and lacks Mac automation.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to monitor key systems and resolve issues and then close the ticket and this is happening without my intervention.

  ### 46. Overall good!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rod M. | Infrastructure team lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

Powerful. Automation and customization can do a lot.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Outdated ui, poor reporting and information display.

Device view you can't even add or remove columns. No report customization, analytics currently can't access much information. There should be a simple view/search where you select what properties you want to see and list the computers based on a filter.
Custom properties have no way to report.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving problems per se. Just doing what is requires. Remote control, patching etc

  ### 47. Excellent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nkosomzi V. | IT Support Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

The Remote support feature. It has made my life easy as a support technician.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

I haven't encountered any dislikes so far.

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't encountered any problems for far.

  ### 48. We used it every day and we liked it, we wished it was developed more though

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tomasz@it10.co.uk S. | MD & IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about N-able N-central?**

It is there and working every day. It rarely failed us. Loved Patch Management.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Seemed like besides the basics, it was no longer developed for IT technicians but rather to keep the costs down. The licencing got complicated

**What problems is N-able N-central solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can access the computers quickly. We can send scripts to computers without connecting there. Patch Management almost always works. Agents were not slowing down computers. We could add extra Take Control subscription

  ### 49. Fantastic Product - Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom L. | Technical Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

Support and training, continuous upgrades to N-central.

**What do you dislike about N-able N-central?**

Patching can be a bit of hassle to begin with, once configured and in place though it improves.

Latest versions of n-able have improved patch management.
