I also really like the calender scheduling feature that creates snippets, I would pay just for that feature. **What do you dislike about Motion?** There are a bunch of obviously missing features (e.g searching your tasks) and a lot of bugs. It used to be a web-app/chrome extension and the switch to desktop is strictly worse. The desktop app still requires internet access to function at all so there's little benefit to the desktop version and things like the task banner no longer appear where you're working. **What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Motion helps me schedule meetings and manage my task list. ### 2. The meeting scheduling tool is a great addition and is easy to use. Overall, the platform delivers on it's promise to make you more effective. **What do you dislike about Motion?** I spend 90% of my day working in a browser window - so when Motion was available as a sidebar/extension, I was able to use the tools directly in the context I spent all day in. The move to an app has made things more of a pain, and reduced the usefulness of the platform as I now have to switch contexts. It also feels less impersonal than just sending a standard booking link. I also love that there is a desktop app, so I can open that in the morning without having to open my browser and immediately get distracted. Not having to reschedule tasks when something comes up manually is also a huge time saver. **What do you dislike about Motion?** For a while, Motion did not have recurring tasks, but now that they have built-in recurring tasks, I can't think of anything I don't like about Motion. It really has everything you need and nothing you don't. **What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to quickly and easily share meeting availability and customize that meeting availability is a massive time saver, prevents back-and-forth emails, and feels much less impersonal than just firing off a standard booking link. ### 6. I am also very visual so lists of tasks fall a little flat. I've found Motion much more effective - the calendar view suits my visual style and the way the app automatically updates the order or tasks based on the priorities I give it is pretty amazing. If I don't get something done on a particular day, then it just moves it onward to the next day and I can see that at a glance. It basically never gets outdated unless I fail to enter new tasks or to check 'complete' on old ones, but that's all I have to do to keep it relevant. **What do you dislike about Motion?** I haven't hit any real downsides - there are a few features I would like to see: some interface tweaks to make it a little more efficient here and there would be good. I would also like to see them add "overtime" time periods that would only get used if a hard deadline task was behind to capture those times when you can work on the weekend for example but only to catch up on something that's behind schedule, not regular tasks not yet due. **What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Efficient time and task management ### 7. This means lots of differents emails, agendas, projects and tasks adding on top of each other every day. Motion has helped me organize all these different facets by combining them in a unique tool, and automate certain aspects such as planning meetings or scheduling tasks. **What do you dislike about Motion?** A monthly view of the calendar would be amazing. I also would prefer that the focus banner would stick on the screen when switching windows. The project management aspect would benefit from better visualisation tools, such as Gantt charts. **What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Motion allowed me to regroup all my activities into one unique tool. I ditched Todoist m, Google Agenda and use solely Motion for my planning. I still use Notion for the project managing, though. The scheduler is one of the best I've seen, I can set it up in a way so it checks also my colleagues calendars for free slots. **What do you dislike about Motion?** The mobile app needs some work, and I wish it would have an off-line function. Some of my tasks got lost and I had to go dig them up. Dependencies don't seem to get scheduled and stuff got lost on the wayside as a results. Dissappointing. Would be great to have an option for 'inperson' vs 'online' meetings. Now I just use that time for work, because Motion deals with the rescheduling, and tells me if something has to be reprioritised. **What do you dislike about Motion?** I would prefer the task titles to be visible on my Google Calendar, and sometimes I have to log in for no apparent reason, which gets annoying. I also do not particularly like the Android app, as it at times refuses to let me add new tasks. **What problems is Motion solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is basically making sure my work schedule is correctly prioritised and scheduled, and reschedules any task if a meeting drops into my calendar, which is amazing. ### 23. It takes the organisation of that all out of my head which frees up time to do the work. ### 28.
