**What do you like best about Bird?**

Absolutely buggy email and sms platform. Signed up, got sold on the system, then sms would not send, email would not send. Spent weeks with their support, eventually when email did start to trickle out, it would go straight to spam filters.
We cancelled the contract but their accounting team is still trying to collect. Avoid bird.com at all costs

Everything does not work, support not helpful and accounts chase despite cancelling

**What do you like best about Bird?**

Bird's flows product is interesting, and opens up lots of opportunities for connectin with customers.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

Bluntly, there are just WAAAY too many bugs in the product, there are limited/no guides, and support is non-existent.

For example, we're trying to build an AI agent, that leverages a Bird.com knowledge base to take phone calls. It has been easy enough to get this working with a website chat bot, but despite it being advertised as available for Phone, it has been impossible to achieve this - and support haven't even updated our case for the last 5 days.

Today's gripe has been that the 'Create document' API call is returning a 500 error. Yesterday's was that the 'Try this' functionality in the API docs wasn't working.

The UI keeps changing, there are multiple different login types...the list goes on.

It is really frustrating as it is full of potential...but right now, it's just irritating. The experience of building with Bird is akin to the experience of building with a newly released YC product...only that they're an established business.

Great sales team. The sales team can actually sell ice to an eskimo.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

Bird.com, formerly known as MessageBird, has proven to be a company that thrives on false promises and deceptive tactics. Their sales team is skilled at painting a rosy picture, promising seamless onboarding, exceptional support, and a user-friendly platform. However, once you've signed the dotted line, the reality is far from idyllic.

We experienced firsthand the company's lack of integrity. After purchasing their platform, we encountered numerous hurdles, including failed verification processes and unresponsive support teams. When we sought assistance, we were met with exorbitant fees for basic support services, a move that seemed designed to extort desperate customers. 

The company's refusal to issue a refund, despite their broken promises and subpar service, speaks volumes about their ethical standards. It's clear that Bird.com is more interested in lining their pockets than delivering on their commitments. 

We strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Bird.com. Their deceptive practices and lack of customer support make them a company to avoid at all costs.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

Look seemed to be very handy in sening messages with Whatsapp but the whole business modal is based on services you can do your own or in a cheaper way. The presure on signing a contract without giving time to read is unmistalenly pointing to a SCAM to get you sign and pay on a yearly bases. Npot trustworthy

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

You have to start a wallet, put money in and than they try to lure you into a yearly contract. Setup is a mess, Helpdesk is not ontime, direct takles days. I ended up closing the account. The money in the wallet will not be refunded. Do not do business with this firm because they steel your money do nothing and than do not do a refund when you do not want to work with them anymore from the money put into your own Wallet.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

We've been using Bird / Pusher Channels for many years. It works fine, however we suspect the product is in mainenance mode (there doesn't seem to be any improvements) so we've switched to a competitor.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

We gave them cancellation notice of our plan 30 days before our renewal date, however since they've received it 29 days (per email dates) prior to renewal they are refusing to cancel our plan and plan to "auto subscribing" us for a further 12 months although we are not using their service. 

We'd recommend against working with companies with these types of money-hungry billing practices.

MessageBird is an excellent platform for online communication service solutions providers. MessageBird support channels like WhatsApp, SMS APIs, ChatBot, SIP Trunk, and Google Business Messages.

There is nothing to dislike about MessageBird, but one thing it should improve is its pricing structure. The pricing structure is a bit high in compare to other service providers. Else everything is perfect.

I use MessageBird to integrate WhatsApp API and SMS API. It allows us to test WhatsApp and SMS in the Sandbox environment before we go into production. It offerers API in many programming languages like Python, PHP, Javascript etc. We can test the API with ready available templates for WhatsApp. MessageBird is the best communication API service provider.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

In addition to integrating different means of contact and dividing it into several support sectors, the platform offers practical and efficient integrations, unifying the services in just one place and directing them to the exact sector, without needing to be surrounded. In addition, it offers us a detailed report of everything that happens between appointments.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

Despite the platform delivering everything I needed, I feel that the configuration of some APIs is a bit difficult for laypeople, but the support and knowledge base will help you easily in this regard. I feel a lack of native integration with Airtable, a service that we use to store some information that would be useful in the chatbot.

**What problems is Bird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform solved the service drowning problem. In the past, everything was unified, making the service difficult due to several conversations across various sectors. Thanks to the chatbot, we were able to direct customers to specific sectors and finalize the service with more practical and common information without needing to forward it to an attendant.

MessageBird is the best API provider for Text Messages (SMS), WhatsApp Integration and audio calls. MessageBird also allows other social media integrations like Instagram, Twitter, Gmail etc.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

There are a few limitations to MessageBird. 1) It doesn't have complete control on WhatsApp APIs. We'll have to create an account on Meta, and once approved, we can use it. 2) Sometimes, API takes much more time to respond. 3) Cost is a bit high.

MessageBird is the best communication platform API provider. MessageBird is fast, secure and easy to use. It has many APIs for our needs, like SMS API, Instagram API, WhatsApp API, etc.

MessageBird is an excellent WhatsApp API service provider. MessageBird also supports other social media communication channels like Facebook (Meta) Messenger, Instagram etc.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

There is nothing specific to dislike about MessageBird it gives almost all things perfect. There are some improvements needed for error messages. Sometimes error messages are not so applicable we can't get an exact idea about them, and debugging is tedious. Else everything is perfect.

I use MessageBird for my WhatsApp business channel integration. MessageBird allows seamless API integration. It also has ready available code snippets for popular programming languages like Python, PHP, Javascript etc. It is straightforward to test APIs in postman. It also provides a sandbox play area to try the templates.

The pricing of the MessageBird API is a bit high. A few other alternatives provide this type of service at a low cost. Sometimes API response takes a long time. Else everything is perfect.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

It's helpful to have one platform where we can manage different contact points from social media platforms, SMS and WhatsApp. Knowing that an automated reply will be sent out of hours too is reassuring so that clients don't feel they're being ignored. And can all be managed via their APIs.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

Our only issue with MessageBird is that there is no monthly billing invoice/statement. You top-up your account with account credit, but then there's no real monthly breakdown sent to you, to account for the depleting account credit.

Being able to interact with our clients via their preferred platforms, using a single API is incredibly efficient, and saves us a lot of work and headaches. It's helpful also for sending through notifications for updates on their services or orders with us.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

MessageBird's product:

- Data integrity = 6.5 / 10, but we've found it's the best available for the email deliverability niche

- UX = 3 / 10, very difficult to use

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

MessageBird is a horrible company to do business with.

1. Over 3 years of being a customer, we never heard from them unless we initiated contact. They only contacted us if it had to do with making them money — sales or renewal. They never offered customer service or training unless we forced them to. And this is for a product priced at $18,000 - 25,000 USD per year.

2. They bury essential contractual clauses as deep as possible in the paperwork to make it easy to miss. For example, our annual contract had a hidden auto-renewal clause that required 30 days notice to opt out of and they put that on page 6 of the contract in size 7 font.

2. After several years of using the product, it was no longer relevant to our business. Unfortunately, we missed the 30 day auto-renewal that was hidden in the contracts by 6 days. When we notified the MessageBird team, they insisted that we must continue subscribing for another entire year, at a cost of $25,000 USD, for a product we don't use. It felt very disappointing and unethical, especially from a company we had been a paying customer of for 3 years.

We used the a part of MessageBird's platform for email analytics. Specifically for doing research on clients' competitors' email metrics, activity, and tactics.

It's virtually free, and we've had great success driving incoming messages through our WhatsApp API connection. We also have Facebook and Instagram messages coming through to our inbox so we never miss a thing.

The UI is a little complicated for a non-tech person to get the full features of Messagebird working. It would also be great for our agents to be able to manage our incoming messages from their mobile phones through an app for instance.

Has great automation via the flow builder
Good reporting dashboards that give an extensive look into the inbox activities on ticket and agent level

The development of new features is slow compared to other market-established products
The product is so unstable that we could barely go a week without an outage on one of the channels
The introduced support plans were more costly than the one we subscribed to! That's why we left

**What do you like best about Bird?**

Message bird has an impressive yet simple user interface, which allows you to configure all the necessary aspects to integrate Whatsapp, social network messaging and text messages. It has a very useful administration panel that allows you to easily understand where to go to execute any action, from flow configuration to message automation.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

It is very difficult to find something that I do not like about this platform. However, I think that an opportunity for improvement is to be able to quickly make the user who logs in for the first time understand where to click to go to the inbox and also, how to differentiate the inbox from the main dashboard.

**What problems is Bird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with dental clinics, which do advertisements that generate many leads. And find a solution that allows you to centralize all the contact channels and make these potential clients go through a precise segmentation flow and which, in turn, can be derived to the corresponding managers. It has been a headache. I've tried Zendesk and similar solutions in the past, to no avail. MessageBird fully understood that most of the companies that generate business opportunities through advertisements require an easy integration with Whatsapp, above all, and they solved this perfectly.

The only thing we don't understand yet is to link the API to a physical desk phone or  WiFi phone and receive an incoming call when no one is answering the main phone mobile phone How to be able to redirect to. Tutorials and guides for wireless phone models are not yet available.

Thanks to Messagebird, I can activate my users more and reach them out. Also, thanks to their verify feature, we use them as a verification method and increase our conversion rates.

I wish the user interface were a bit easier to understand and straightforward. Sometimes I get lost when trying to find a function that I am looking for. But other than that, everything is fine.

I recommend using it. It helped us to increase some significant conversion rates.

We started to activate more and more users with the help of MessageBird's SMS feature. We considerably increased our conversion rates and began to verify users through their phone numbers, thanks to MessageBird.

Overall the platform is great. The price is economical and our support team always tries to solve all the problems in the shortest possible time. The 
 the control panel is beautiful and intuitive, and the documentation and support features such as stream builder are very well done and easy to use. 
 What I love most about this software is that it integrates easily with other solutions and offers excellent uptime and high performance.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

MessageBird is limited by "providers" which severely limit the content, frequency, and volume of SMS messages. Nothing fancy except for a few UI improvements, but it seems to be gradual. There is no way to immediately add funds. All PayPal payments are manually authorized by our staff. However, payment will be approved within 12 days. Even better if you can install it right away.

**Recommendations to others considering Bird:**

We recommend MessageBird Platform for those business owners who wants to establish their chat supports without initial costings and those who requires only initiate the chat after the customer have raised any queries or request.

**What problems is Bird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software offers multiple channels for the same price, so it is convenient for users to start viewing the content. We have a much better record than Twilio for sending SMS messages to our users. It's easy to use by downloading an Excel file, sending bulk text messages, and selecting the sender, message, and recipient columns. Visualization of incoming responses and visibility of conversation threads for each message. Easily add numbers as contacts to your database. Data can be easily exported to Excel.

Mainly the fact of having pricing, billing, and support dedicated to Brazil, we like and use the Flow Builder a lot, so we can create excellent service for our customers across all possible channels.

Sometimes the documentation is a bit confusing, it's difficult to get the hang of the user interface, but after a certain time you get used to it and everything turns out perfect.

I like that the UI is extremely clean and sleek to use. Everything is pretty straightforward; anyone should be able to use it.

You can only have one email for your entire inboxes is quite annoying. Primarily when the tool promotes multiple workspaces. Another thing that we dislike is the fact that there are limited roles, specifically only 2.

I would recommend this tool if you don't have strict access and role requirements.

**What problems is Bird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to tool to support our Whatsapp use case, which is communication with our end users via Whatsapp. The previous tool that we were using was hard to learn and had complex UI.

The one-time setup fee is extremely high, very bad customer support (Available only on email). Very confusing payment plans. And a limited number of WhatsApp messages will get triggered in a day.

Messagebird is charging an extremely high one-time integration fee (Around $600), which no other peer company charging. On top of it, you will never be able to contact the support team, it always says wait for a mail reply.

Tried it for a week. Didn't like it so didn't use it much

Had tried it in July 2020 and had linked my credit card. But then didn't go ahead with the paid plan and stopped using it. But surprisingly, they charged my credit card on Feb 4, 2021, for $600 which was very surprising. 

Contacted their support team. Was shocked by their response when they denied the same. It was very unethical and a case of fraud.

When it doesn't work or something goes wrong, trying to get help from the Support Team is a living hell. For a company that's supposed to provide better customer communications, their communications with their own customers is terrible. Ever since the released of Inbox, their at at full capacity and it doesn't seem like they have done much to improve. Quite disappointing!

The whole process to get access to the WhatsApp Business API was great.

The UI is super easy and intitutive to use. Navigating around the service, creating your message, uploading your list and everything else is a breeze with their simple UI.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

The only issue I ran into was with sending links. You have to get approved by carriers if you want to include a link, but their CS team is super helpful and will reach out to the carriers for approval on your behalf. The only other thing I wish they had was mobile number verification. They may have it now, but it was a little bit of a pain because you will get charged if you have a landline in your list but the SMS won't send.

Make sure you have all Mobile Numbers if using SMS and double check your links are approved before you send out SMS.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

The way the user interface works! it's clear and pretty to navigate true. The options are all displayed properly and the way the information Is given is good for a dummy or experienced user. I can recommend MessageBird to any company or individual, this actually works the way It should with no error's or Interruption or what so ever. Also, last but not least, the customer service Is helpful and caring, they answer in a quick manner.

I can't find any dislikes so far. The service Is up and running! If I need to think about a dislike I can't come up with one. The price equals the service.

Just try the service! The best way for us to get involved with MessageBird was the free trial option.  Since I could try out the look and feel of a message and the way the system works, was the best way to get familiar with the tools and made me sign up with a good en trustworthy feeling. After the first payment, I could send messages right away to all of my customers or realtions with no delay.

**What problems is Bird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

True MessageBird I can reach out to customers In a more personal way. The way e-mail won't be read and calls can be forgotten, a text message is a solution for businesses to interact with customers on a direct level that suits the customer. We use MessageBird for invoice reminders, product activations and many more.

**What do you like best about Bird?**

The thing that I like at the best about MessageBird is the ease of access with which calls can be directed to appropriate people. The global Points of Presence is able to instantly connect you with a high speed and crystal clear connection.

The user interface is a little complicated. It would be better if the interface was designed to be more intuitive  rather than having the user navigate through it. There is a steep learning curve associated with the platform but once the user is familiar with it, there are no problems.

It is definitely worth a try! You'll love this!

One of the big problems that I am trying to solve is regarding the customer service department. When a customer calls, he or she expects instant help. Using message bird, customers have been more satisfied with the customer service and the communication between customer service rep and the customer has been better.

1. I love the pricing most - It is very cheap in terms of per sms. For building a prototype, testing the product and then deploying it for production has been very easy! Also the ability to top up small amounts to keep testing going has also been very easy
2. The services work for Singapore very well
3. Works for HK and US numbers very well ask well

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

The SMS services doesn't work for Indian mobile phone numbers properly.

The scustomer service system is not available 24/7. Although the team has presence in Singapore, it has been hard to get someone to respond during Asian hours. Only London hour provide customer service. 24/7 chat customer service would be the least expected if the company wants to sell its services in Asia.

If you want a simple API solution to send SMS then this is it

We have a mobile app that retrieves the user's phone number and sends a OTP to the customer. We are using MessageBird to create this customised OTP service. The APIs are very easy to use. The dev team could implement the APIs within the mobile app and the appropriated backend services within less than a day. Till date we have not faced any errors wrt the APIs working. In terms of value for money it is a great service. Till date top ups have worked instantly and we haven't faced any downtime!

Our messages are only sent locally, not international. Having to put in the country code for every number is a little frustrating and makes it difficult for automation.

We were looking for a partner to send our registration confirmation sms, but the sending had to be instantaneous, many vendors had failed to do so, but MessageBird totally fulfilled our need.

The integration with the APIs is very simple, this made our process much easier.

The statistics are complete assisting us during the decision making.

I believe the only downside would be the rather high cost close to other competitors, but the quality is velsibly higher.

We've used MessageBird to conduct important trial programs in customer texting outreach with minimal cost and technical fuss. There were some technical hurdles in setting things up, but, since then, the system has worked very well. The MessageBird system also integrates well with CRM platforms like Zendesk very easily and effectively. This is a great resource for businesses that need an easy texting solution and don't want to spend months waiting for the conclusion of a sprint or requiring engineering assistance.

**What do you dislike about Bird?**

There are some technical challenges and fewer automations associated with MessageBird for mass-message sending. They won't automatically apportion mass text messages across multiple long codes to ensure delivery. They also don't allow automatic geo-location targeting for customers in the US based on the customer's area code. These are smaller concerns, though, based on how you plan on using their service.

We're solving the problem of being able to send mass, transactional text messages to customer without great confusion or technical challenges, and it is working well. Customer service has been extremely helpful.

Our customers complain about the tax of delivered messages. We are using messagebird with 3 of our customers for information about Queue Management and Service status. Our intentions it's to make Messagebird the default system for all our customers in more than 40 countries. But there is a big percentage of SMS that are not delivered. We can see the same problem in our own team. We already contacted your support, but the problem remains.

It would be nice to have a reseler program. Our products have a connector to Messagebird, and our customers are invited to create an account at Messagebird to get informations by SMS from our software. This means that we are making business for you and get nothing for it...

does not always work with internet explorer. however this is not their fault, just restrictions from our IT department, which can prove to be extremely frustrating when texts are needed to be sent urgently

If you only need text messaging solutions (i.e. no VoIP or calling solutions) then MessageBird is the place to go. If you're looking for an all in one solution, then MessageBird might not fit your needs.

We personally use MessageBird for texting solutions, and another provider for VoIP/calling solutions.

MessageBird is a service that in addition to simple text messages offers other services, vocail and social chat. I installed it to make a web app interact with text messages and I found it really good. All scripts are already available.

Being a nonprofit association, we would have appreciated the possibility of buying text message packages at "facilitated" prices, so as not to affect the social report too much.
