What do you like best about MercuryGate TMS?

Excellent software, very easy to learn how to use it, has important tools such as updating your cargo, customer configuration, reports and documentation necessary for the transfer and delivery of a shipment, invoice generator and the option for claims. What do you like best about MercuryGate TMS?

Very configurable, ability to config without developer involvement, can manage application without need for MG involvement, multiple ways to solution one thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MercuryGate TMS?

New GUI (EZVision) was released to market too soon; often not providing same functionality as previous GUI (EZClick). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering MercuryGate TMS:

Do your own internal homework first. Build workflows of what you already have, build workflows of what you WANT, scrub your own data first. Make sure to devote time to implementation, and not bring people to the table who are both implementing the software on your behalf AND also doing a daily job; you need to be 100% focused on implementing or you will struggle. Take training modules FIRST, and not after implementing.

Consider a consulting firm to help with; MG has a few they recommend.

Whatever time MG suggests you will go live, add 15 to 20% more to that because we did not realize how much we didn't account for in our own business as well as MG didn't realize during original POC/sales cycle.

Whatever budget MG suggests you will pay for the deployment, make sure you bank about 20% for change orders; development needs that no-one knew about, travel for on site meetings (either at MG HQ or your own HQ), and any other outlying budget needs (for 3rd party software). The amount of flexibility comes with some maintenance nightmares as well. Keeping internal documentation is key as MG guides are very basic to functionality, not as much usability type documents as we would to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
