It's easy to browse and find what you're looking for, fast to upload content, and I love not only how easy it is to share photos, but also the variety of methods of sharing photos that you can choose from based on who you're sending the photos to. Much easier to implement and integrate in a corporate setting compared to something like Google Drive. Customer support is also responsive and dedicated to finding solutions to problems. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Some of the advanced features may confuse people that aren't technically proficient (e.g. someone may have Cognitive Metadata active and have unintended photos show up when they search, not knowing to toggle off Cognitive Metadata to avoid this happening). **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating an accessible photo library for employees that is easy to view and easy to share. This allows users to see photos easily and find them relatively easily, especially at a glance with the photo gallery view. It feels much more user-friendly and intuitive compared to something like Google Drive, which is good for straight-up storage purposes but not so much as a dedicated photo-only storage format. ### 6. Our DropBox was extremely large and so it was extremely difficult to find what we needed, particularly because there could be versions living in different folders. Many LMS vendors attempt to sell asset management solutions, but fall incredibly short on both the user and administrator end. People at our dealerships, other retail partners, internal teams, and advertising partners can all get the access to approved assets they need without a lot of hassle or cost to us. We're able to set it up in a way that works for our particular business needs and different user groups. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** It's a bit limited in terms of UI/UX and can be a little challenging to set up for specific use cases. We do spend a little bit of resource explaining how to use it and where stuff is for first time users, but once they're up to speed it functions well and they usually catch on. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had trouble getting approved assets to our partners and internal teams in a way that wasn't resource intensive. The AI is very intuitive, producing results onscreen based on even a single word typed into the search bar. This makes it easy for contributors to upload photos with minimal descriptions (although the system allows for input of vast amounts of descriptive data, if desired, even by cutting and pasting from other sources). Onboarding new users is easy and intuitive. Security features are excellent. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** What is least helpful is that once an image is downloaded from MediaValet, it reverts to its original filename, rather than the new filename assigned to it when uploading. This makes it very difficult to keep track of what is actually in a downloaded image file, since images taken on an iPhone (for example) are assigned numerical filenames that provide no indication of what the image is. MediaValet needs to provide a means by which the new filename assigned when uploaded can be preserved. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a 60-year-old company with literally 147,000+ digital images from history through the present, stored in multiple locations ranging from individual laptops to legacy software systems. Nobody could ever definitively find the image they were looking for, whether for advertising, promotional, or training purposes, because there was no reliable centralized system of storing and managing images. MediaValet provides us with the means of storing, accessing, and sharing images using a highly user-friendly and intuitive keyword-based search capacity. No more anguish over "that picture from 1987, which used to be on (retired) Bob's laptop". ### 23. From photos, photo release forms, branded assets, videos, and more, MV allows us to house all related materials and content in one place. With customized organization of photos and files and top-tier search optimization features to locate the digital assests needed, I highly recommend that communications and marketing teams use this tool. MV is made for cross collaboration so colleagues on other teams and external vendors can had easy access to upload or even download assests. Another great feature is that administrators can set permissions for colleagues on other teams and external vendors, adjust/change permissions at any time, and even set and expiration date for access so you can feel secure knowing your assets are safe. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** MV is a relatively new tool for our organization so they regularly roll out new features that aren't always the easiest to grasp without attending an instructional webinar or watching a recorded training. Our team is really busy so it can be challening to find time for this. Perhaps provide more opportunities for live instructional webinars to ask questions in real-time? **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is an ideal cross collaboration tool that is easy to use for both internal and external users. The support staff is always available to field questions and even take suggestions of small areas that can be improved. We have suggested a few alternate functions of the DAM and the team has come back to us and implemented those changes. It's great to have a DAM that is constantly evolving into a better platform and to know the software is not intended to be a one size fits all for every company. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** This is a seriously hard question to answer as it would take something super picky to choose, but of course its true nothing is perfect. Using the platform for half a year and still have not found something I dislike enough to mention it here. **Recommendations to others considering MediaValet:** We did a lot of research into DAM providers before making a design on the best fit for us and we found a very little amount of companies who are on the same level as MediaValet, and none that were in the same bracket of greatness for their support and service. MediaValet is truly unique in their ability to provide both a great product and also world class customer service/support. I would 100% recommend speaking with MediaValet before choosing any other DAM providers. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our biggest problem with digital assets was how far spread out those assets were in different clouds and hard drives. MediaValet was able to provide us with a powerful DAM solution for all our assets which has allowed a much better collaboration between departments. Our DAM also ensures that our colleagues have access to the latest versions of our assets and not something out-of-date. ### 25. With an incredible search function and the new AI face recognition it's even more user friendly, allowing much more accurate results for our users. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I did have an issue recently where our data base went down, we didn't lose any assets but it did require some techsupport and it took about a week for MediaValet to restore our assets. We also use Lightboxes and saved searches to easily access our most utilized assets and are able to share externally without needing to create links to OneDrive.
