In terms of MediaValet specifically, it's a Canadian company with good pricing, very responsive support and onboarding team. Finally, I think moving assets onto a Digital Asset Management System helps organizations prepare their assets/meta-data for future AI tools that will leverage centralized and labeled organizational assets. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** I don't have significant problems with the software, but the process of launching the software and getting users across my organization with varying levels of technical proficiency, buy-in, and different needs to consistently use a centralized platform like MediaValet was difficult. It goes beyond simply relying on filenames, metadata, or manually added tags by recognizing words and text that appear within images. It makes searching a large asset library much faster and more effective. I also appreciate the overall performance and simplicity of the platform. It’s surprisingly flexible, and I really appreciate how well organized the tool is. Being able to then create shareable links to colleagues and/or clients (including link expiration dates) is incredibly beneficial. The integration that MediaValet has with Adobe products (such as InDesign) is an efficiency gain as well. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** Depending on how many categories you assign to an image, or how many levels of category you create in your site structure, the 50 category/folder limit can be difficult to manage when creating user access types. The AI tag suggestions are good for basic photographs, but you do need to watch some of the generated tags when you are dealing with different ethnicities. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** MediaValet is helping us create password-protected galleries that we can share with our partners. This enables us to protect our brand while also providing our partners with assets they can use to promote our active campaigns. The platform also helps our marketing team by showcasing approved assets through its ability to flag assets as unapproved (by date expiration or other reasons). This ensures we are only ever using or sharing, approved assets. The ability to crop, scale or save in another format is incredibly beneficial as well.
