From the jump, the software has proven to be exceptionally easy to use and deploy. With Box as our primary file storage source, MediaValet pairs nicely, allowing us a polished, precise platform for sharing and showcasing. Our favorite feature is the Portal section, offering highly customizable, stylish display areas for customer content, internal use and even dedicated documents and assets. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** While MediaValet and Box play nicely, our dream would be a more automated asset updating function, ensuring that our content is constantly revising based off changes in Box. It's a bit pie in the sky, but our relatively manual file revision process would be a dream to have a more automated solution in the future. **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** MediaValet has given us a great answer to ensuring that our customer facing content (customers being both internal and outside of the company) is easily accessed from a highly searchable solution. In particular, the Portal platform is a gamechanger for us, giving us unique buildout spots for specific customer content or product profiles. The interface is clear and easy to use and the tagging and metadata options meet our needs exactly. We researched multiple DAMs as part of the process of choosing which system to go with, and MediaValet was the right mix of features and cost for our organization. **What do you dislike about MediaValet?** The only downside we have seen is that people not familiar with how to use a DAM often don't know how to use it and end up contacting the communications team anyway. A fun, interactive video about how to use the DAM system might be a good service (we have lots of user guides but people don't tend to read them!) **What problems is MediaValet solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had 30 years of photos stored on a series of CDs, DVDs, hard drives and cloud servers with no backup system or proper metadata. When we subscribed to MediaValet, we also hired a graduate student in collections management, who spent a year adding metadata to our collection to make it more searchable and generally useful - this led to us discovering all sorts of content we didn't know we had, as well as making all of our content more accessible, generally. Our design teams now spend way less time trying to find what they need, and users outside of the communications department come to us less frequently when they need things. Now that it's set up, our DAM now allows for our collection to grow in a more structured and reliable way, so we're not paying for content that no one can find. ### 12. The screens are clean and easy to use. The menu tree on the left is basic and self explanatory. It slowed down our SEO rankings and made the site sluggish. We are now using branded portals in MediaValet to deliver assets that our members are interested in: logos, photos, other resources. It's streamlined and easy to use and share. We also have a tremendous number of partner logos that we manage. Previously we had conflicting versions of these logos due to different people storing them in different places.
