## About OpManager Nexus
OpManager Nexus is a full-stack observability platform that helps IT teams monitor and manage their entire infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications, databases, and websites, from a single console. Designed for mid-size to large organizations managing hybrid and on-premises environments, OpManager Nexus provides deep visibility across every layer of the IT stack. IT teams gain a consolidated view of their infrastructure, eliminating the need for multiple disconnected monitoring tools and reducing the operational overhead that comes with managing them. This unified approach enables faster decision-making and helps organizations maintain service reliability across complex, distributed environments where downtime can have a direct impact on business continuity. OpManager Nexus includes AIOps capabilities that go beyond traditional monitoring. Agentic AI and generative AI integrations automate routine diagnostics and accelerate issue resolution, while smart event correlation identifies relationships between alerts across the stack. Together, these capabilities help IT teams detect issues early, cut through alert noise, and resolve problems before they impact end users or broader business operations. For IT teams dealing with high volumes of events across large environments, this level of automation significantly reduces the time spent on manual troubleshooting. On the deployment front, OpManager Nexus supports both on-premises installation and cloud access (powered by Site24x7) through ManageEngine's private datacenters. Organizations can choose the model that aligns with their infrastructure strategy, security policies, and compliance requirements, without compromising on monitoring depth or platform capability. As part of the ManageEngine ecosystem, OpManager Nexus integrates natively with ITSM, analytics, and security tools, giving IT teams the full operational context needed to manage infrastructure performance and respond to incidents end to end.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaun G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about OpManager Nexus?**

The ability to isolate traffic down to the work station is amazing. Watching packet analysis of routers, instant uptime viewing of all networks and the ability to drill down to find out where problems lie. This easily automates 80% of our work.

**What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?**

There are too many different types of licenses. It is the equivalent of an onion. Everytime you discover an another amazing module within the package which will help, you have to buy an additional license.

**What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have one site which has an extremely limited internet connection. Through packet analysis and NetFlow analysis, we are able to maintain the connection to its optimal. This includes allowing us to make procedural changes on how our software is used and when network heavy software must be limited.

4) This is a cost-effective application and it can be integrated with various IT Management applications.

**What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?**

1) The Installation of the tool is quite easy but when it comes to the configuration you may require a technical expert to set all the parameters that meet your requirements.

2) And yes the licensing cost of this application is very high because it charges based on the devices that you want to monitor.

3) This tool gives customizable alerts and notifications but it is limited.

**What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically, without this tool, it is very difficult for us to have an eye and track the performance of each network device. ManageEngine OpManager is its versatility and flexibility. It can monitor and manage various network devices, servers, applications, and other IT infrastructure components. It can also integrate well with other ManageEngine products and provide a holistic view of the IT environment. It has a user-friendly interface and a rich set of features that make network management easier and more efficient. It also provides valuable insights into network traffic, system health, and application performance. It is a flexible and reliable network management solution that suits different needs and preferences.

 ### 19. 2 years with OpManager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan G. | System Administrator II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about OpManager Nexus?**

We find this application to be very useful for managing our network equipment and for IP management. We have built all of our network racks and diagrams within the application as it's easy to do, looks good and is nice to be able to tie to the devices themselves as the realtime views.

Works well with Cisco / Fortigate / Palo devices for quick overviews and for invetory management. Software setup and updates are easy to run through and the few times we have needed support we have had good experiences. It also integrates with other ManageEngine products (which we use SerivceDesk Plus) to create tickets based on alert critera you setup. We use this daily and it's become a important part of our network management and have been pleased with the software.

**What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?**

Occassionally they drop advertisements for upgrades and other applications in the software which annoys me. You also can't disable some menu options related to upcharge purchases (virtualizzation etc) that we don't utilize and don't plan to at this time.

**What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The initial problem this sovled was IP management and the purchase of OpUtils. Spreadsheets and old methods were in place and ineffective. This solved those issues with proper IP management in a nice interface that can be properly labelled, show port history that can verify the information is relevant, and showing whats actively in use and not in use when needing to assign static IPs.

This has grown into us purchasing the OpManager suite to have device inetories and alerts, creating nice network maps and rack diagrams that we can easily keep updated and tied to the devices themselves. It also allows role assignements and allows users with less network experience to see and understand whats going on with a swtich from a glance and to be able to better track what is going where from a GUI standpoint while keeping them out of the network equipment.

 ### 20. OpManager ended my search for a replacement to WhatsUp Gold

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg W. | IT Support Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about OpManager Nexus?**

It's easy to use. It is fast. I haven't had trouble configuring monitoring for every aspect of my server environment that I want. Compared to solutions from other companies, including WhatsUp Gold, HP Openview and SolarWinds, I'm much happier with OpManager. Installation and updates have been easy as well. The pricing is also good.

**What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?**

I don't have anything to list. It is reliable and does exactly what we purchased it for.

**What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpManager notifies me if any services have stopped or if any servers have gone offline. Instead of depending on pings to determine if a server is up, we monitor the remote desktop port. That tells us that the server is not only responding to pings but functional at the OS level. We also depend on it to notify us if a server's hard drive is full or there are runaway processes pegging the CPU or RAM.

**What do you like best about OpManager Nexus?**

We are using a few of their products. They work well, easy to use, intuitive. Their support team is knowledgeable & easy to work with.
- Easy to setup.
- Reasonable pricing.
- We like the agentless monitoring.
- Support team helped us during/ before/ after implementation.

**What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?**

- Vmware physical CPUs cannot be monitored. There are 24 virtual CPUs & once the physical CPU goes over the threshold, there are too many alerts.
- URL monitoring - kerberos is not supported.
- Downtime alerts - OP manager & App manager have separate downtime scheduler. One overall downtime schedule would be convenient.

**What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have real time monitoring system. Therefore, we also did not have any tools/ report to generate the system uptime & analyze the points of failure. Having this tool will help us in identifying citical points of failure, analyze infrastructure needs for the future.

The monitoring and alerting of the OpManager system are amazing. We rest well at night knowing if there are any issues within our critical environment such as Phone Systems, Virtual Hosts, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, etc. - we get alerted in almost real time and can correct the issue. The NetFlow integration is also nice for capacity planning your WAN or SD-WAN network.
