They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about LiquidText?** Very intuitive for organizing ideas via papers on the right side. Additionally, this app allows drag-and-drop, writing anything to capture (the original) ideas and organize/rearrange later. **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** Very difficult to see info on the homepage, no information about subscription, only found in-app purchase (if you don't click purchase you don't find any useful info about package/subscription). Powerful features need a Pro version purchase (not much but some packages make me struggle). Searching or navigating to a specific page - in my opinion - needs to be moved to the main page. **Recommendations to others considering LiquidText:** It's a powerful app for note-taking, reading, and organizing ideas. Sync and sharing ideas across devices require another subscription, and if you work only on PC (support pen & touch), this Pro subscription is appropriately priced and very efficient. **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** Import PDF and annotate very quickly, easily, and free to take notes with your style. Saving time is the most valuable, besides, friendly note-taking and organizing ideas in the same spaces are very useful. ### 2. When reading becomes more visual and meaningful **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) I can easily compare documents side by side, move notes between personal and shared spaces, and even share complete libraries or single files—making collaboration with colleagues far smoother and monthly coordination effortless. **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** I honestly find no downsides. LiquidText gives us everything we need, intuitively combining essential academic research functions within one environment. **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** I’ve tried other document tools, but none combine reading, note-taking, and visual mapping so seamlessly. LiquidText helps prepare classes more efficiently, strengthen the consistency of the analyses, and enhance the depth and quality of academic discussions. ### 3. LiquidText is the Best PDF Reader **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about LiquidText?** LiquidText makes reading and annotating PDFs easy and fun! LiquidText integrates with Dropbox where you can pull PDFs from. You can, then, excerpt quotes, data, important facts, or, well, just about anything from the PDFs! Once a copy of that info is pulled out of the text, you can make notes on it. Then, you can print your notes alongside the excerpts. This becomes extremely helpful when writing papers, etc. **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** The way to save files in the folders seems clunky and outdated. But it's a small issue. **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** LiquidText solves the problem of annotating texts, copying quotes, and saving them for use later in papers by storing them online so all you need to do is copy and paste right into your text. It's quite simple. ### 4. LiquidText - Beyond Paper **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Sreyas V. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. The ability to translate our ideas into a document is simply amazing and exciting at the same time. The functionality does not limit or hinder our ideas in any way while using the tool. **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** I do not know whether this is a downside or not but most of the things come with a paid subscription. I was also not able to see my subscription information in my home page, not sure whether this issue is there only for me. **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** The edits, corrections and visualizations that I want to do while working with a certain document is done through LiquidText. The tool in my opinion really makes us not to use a paper for any sort of scribblings or correction as it goes above and beyond to serve its purpose. ### 5. Efficient Digital Text Editor **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Lekshmi R. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through LinkedIn **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022 **What do you like best about LiquidText?** LiquidText is a very good text editor tool to take notes, highlight and scribble along as you go through the pages allowing you to really go beyond the capabilities of the same being available in a hard copy paper. **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** I am using LiquidText for all of my text editings and highlighting, hence I have not faced any issues with the tool. However, if you want to go beyond those usages, you may have to get a subscription to unlock them. **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** Personally, for me LiquidText is my go-to tool when it comes to making corrections, taking notes and all such things related to any document. It is quite easy to integrate it with other applications such as DropBox once the changes are made from my end. ### 6. Not just for reading & note-taking **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about LiquidText?** Able to link multiple documents, pull out excerpts, add comments **What do you dislike about LiquidText?** Having to pay additional for real-time syncing and backup **What problems is LiquidText solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used LiquidText to help clarify and define my project scopes. Especially when my project involves reading through multiple documents in a tender project. Many of the project specifications were scattered in different documents but were inter-related. So it was super helpful when I was able to drill down and come up with a 2-pager for the project and shared that with my developers. Since I was able to export the workspaces together with documents it was easy for the team to reference and get the details if required. - [View LiquidText pricing details and edition comparison](https://www.g2.com/products/liquidtext/reviews?section=pricing&secure%5Bexpires_at%5D=2026-10-04+22%3A33%3A07+-0500&secure%5Bsession_id%5D=289ba1c0-ef23-4b02-8e51-044583cd4f1f&secure%5Btoken%5D=ccd3474b178ab3e5cbd90a591b36e241bf147b3d738fd76108ca5cda61d246cd&format=llm_user) ## LiquidText Features **Annotation Tools - Markup Software** - Text Annotations - Video Annotations - Text Editing - Image Annotations **Collaboration - Markup Software** - Real-Time Editing - Permissions - Commenting - Tagging **Security - Markup Software** - Password Protection - Version Control **Additional Functionality** - Search/Filter - AI Copilot - Commenting/Notes - Content Publishing Options - Reporting & Statistics - Content Library - Document Classification - Drag & Drop ## Top LiquidText Alternatives - [Workfront](https://www.g2.com/products/workfront/reviews) - 4.1/5.0 (1,155 reviews) - [ClickUp](https://www.g2.com/products/clickup/reviews) - 4.6/5.0 (13,950 reviews) - [Nifty](https://www.g2.com/products/nifty-technologies-inc-nifty/reviews) - 4.7/5.0 (425 reviews)
