I started using the software because it was free. Also, how it works is very simple; you just drag your .wav file on an area of your screen, it processes the file, and saves it in the same folder as the original. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It took a bit longer than I'd like. Also, I needed a bit more control over the processing. For example for a podcast, I wanted the audio to be a little louder than what was being produced in comparison to other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This program is dead simple but works like a charm. I am very soft spoken and uneven in my volume.

Levelator manages to level out the highs and lows and results in voice quality that is acceptable for training tutorials. I have tried Audacity, another great tool but it required lots of manual work. Levelator does it in one single step.

All you need to do is just drag your wav format audio file into the running window and out comes the cleaned up version. No mess, no fuss.

The only real problem is that levelator is no longer supported. It is made available by "The Conversations Network" and it can still be downloaded but there are no new updates.

I enjoy the ease with which voices are leveled, providing a full "radio sound" that raises the credibility of podcasters who use it. It reduces production time and the trial and error rounds of troubleshooting. It is simply a drag and drop function, outputting the corrected audio file for input into the audio editor of your choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't use it on full mixes - it can do unpredictable things with music. I isolate the voice tracks, run them through Levelator, then bring them back into Audacity and mix it with other elements. Aside from this concern about music, I have no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
