I prefer to use the local version ona server in the lab rather than the cloud online version. This allows me to save on some expenses but it does require me to perform manual backups. What problems is LabCollector LIMS & ELN solving and how is that benefiting you? When we started, a big issue we faced was utilizing the Query Builder system. While we are unable to save our own enquiry parameters still, they have made improvements to the filter system which allows grouping of AND/OR filter parameters. The software makes us use less time on not productive activities and we can focus more on the lab-work. There is a whole range of add-ons covering almost anything, but for us it has been making the production easier and more cost effective. We have the Saas-service and downtime is zero. I find the ability to upload whole sample submissions incredibly useful, and the reminders for different activities, like instrument maintenance, are very helpful. I think the project management scope should be given for free instead of as a paid add-on because most companies need a very simple setup. I would not say the initial setup was easy. The labcollector system has become my best assistant, because it provides me with very complete analyzes in order to study and prevent serious and not so serious cases of diseases that arrive in my laboratory. This system gives me the possibility to manage the samples of my patients in an organized and fast way, allowing me to manage them by level of severity if this is the case.
