## JumpCloud Reviews
 ### 1. Fast Setup, Reliable Identity Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noelle c. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

It supports better identity life cycle continuity across employment stages. The setup was fast, which was really convenient.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

It could improve the detection of redundant identity attributes.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud secures access to my backup management console and recovery system, solving the inefficient identity validation process across business applications.

 ### 2. Great for Distributed Teams: Secure Management Without AD or Azure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud is a great fit for a smaller distributed office setup like ours. It allows us to manage computers and accounts without having to have Active directory or Azure. I like the powershell options and the security policies are great. Temporary admin rights are huge.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The UI is getting better. I would like to see OU structure for managing devices.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps us using a serverless setup for our company. This means less hardware and always on connections. The user accounts are local so there hasn't been any instances without the ability to login.

 ### 3. Good Security Features But Lacks Comprehensive Manuals

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio B.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I find JumpCloud to be a really good option for managing and securing my company's information. I appreciate the security benefits it provides, including protecting our data and allowing for the removal of data if necessary. Additionally, I find it beneficial that JumpCloud enables me to handle the information for my users and make some upgrades, even though I'm still learning about all the capabilities it offers. JumpCloud's capacity to secure users' information is another aspect I like, as it's crucial for my work. Overall, these features together offer a secure environment that is highly valuable for my company's operations.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find it challenging to locate complete manuals to help set up and configure JumpCloud, which is essential for understanding the security features and making the right configurations. The lack of detailed guides makes the initial setup process difficult. Additionally, despite using JumpCloud, I'm unclear if it supports integrations like antivirus or VPNs, which complicates my ability to enhance security configurations further. Managing the current setup is quite difficult, enough to consider researching other options, suggesting a potential lack of user-friendliness or feature clarity.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find JumpCloud secures our company's information, protecting data and allowing user permissions management.

 ### 4. Effortless User & Access Management with JumpCloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I’ve been using JumpCloud to manage user access across multiple systems, and it’s been a complete game-changer for my workflow. The ability to create groups and assign users to them—similar to how I use Twingate—means I can roll out access to multiple resources in just a few clicks. No more individually configuring accounts or permissions for every single user; I simply drop them into the right group, and they instantly have access to the tools, applications, and networks they need.

What I really appreciate is how centralized and intuitive everything is. Whether I’m onboarding a new hire or changing permissions for an existing employee, the process is seamless. I can manage authentication, control access policies, and integrate with various platforms all from one place.

JumpCloud has not only saved me countless hours of repetitive admin work but has also improved our security posture. By grouping users and applying policies globally, I’m confident that every person has exactly the access they need—nothing more, nothing less.

If you’re managing multiple users across different systems, JumpCloud takes the headache out of it. It’s like having a master key for your IT environment.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The UI can feel a bit clunky at times, and some advanced settings take a few extra clicks to find, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud centralizes our user management and access control, eliminating the need to manually configure accounts across multiple systems. It solves the problem of inconsistent permissions and time-consuming onboarding by letting me assign access through groups. This not only speeds up deployment of tools and applications but also strengthens security by ensuring users have exactly the permissions they need—no more, no less.

 ### 5. Seamless Cross-Platform Management without Intune!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

It can manage Macs, Windows and Linux environments with user access assigned via Okta.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The UI is rough with too many layers obscuring what's really happening to a machine.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to manage Windows machines without needing ActiveDirectory/Intune. We needed to lock out a user immediately if the need arose. We do this in Jamf all the time with easy. None of the Windows experts could figure out how to do this with just Intune. Because we use Okta, we were able to bind a user to the machine and then disable their Okta account when departing.

 ### 6. Many features in one platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wil C. | vCIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

We really liked the ecosystem. We have everything we needed in a cost-effective identity package and then some. We were able to decommission our old identity provider and two MDM packages and consolidate into one platform. In addition to this, we increased our security posture with the Zero Trust feature, an integrated password manager, and GDPR compliance. We were also able to initiate an onboarding/offboarding solution with our HR system with a native integration.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Implementation took a bit longer than we expected due to the complexities of offboarding other tools and integrating JumpCloud. During the sales process expectations could have been a little more realistic.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is solving our Mobile Device Management(MDM), Identity Access Management(IAM), Remote Support, Governance, and Password Management opportunities. We benefit from these by simplifying all of these solutions in one platform. We have outsourced our Helpdesk and Security and require tools to manage multiple third-party privileged access, passwords, and Identities. This makes the process very simple.

 ### 7. Seamless SSO Integration That Simplified Our Entire Workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pratik K. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The SSO functionality is incredibly intuitive and robust. Setting up new application integrations is straightforward, often taking just a few minutes. The user portal is clean and simple, which has led to fantastic adoption from our team. They love having one-click access to all their essential apps without juggling multiple passwords. It's a feature that is both powerful for IT and genuinely appreciated by end-users.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Some basic features of MDM is WIP and to be released in near future. This could have been there.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before JumpCloud, our application management was fragmented. We had users storing passwords in unsecured ways, and onboarding/offboarding was a tedious, multi-step process for IT, creating potential security gaps. JumpCloud centralized all of it. Now, we can provision or deprovision access to all integrated apps from a single console. The primary benefits have been a significantly improved security posture, a streamlined administrative workload, and a much better, more secure experience for our entire team.

 ### 8. A Powerful All-in-One Platform for Identity and Device Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like best about JumpCloud is how it simplifies and centralizes identity and device management. The platform gives IT teams the ability to manage users, access, and devices across multiple operating systems and applications from one place — without needing to maintain on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory. I also really appreciate the company’s open, cloud-native approach and strong focus on security and usability for both admins and end users.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

There isn’t much to dislike, but one area I think could be improved is the learning curve for new administrators. JumpCloud offers a powerful, feature-rich platform, but because it touches so many areas—identity, access, device management, security—it can take some time to fully master all of its capabilities.

That said, I see this as an opportunity rather than a drawback, because the documentation and community support are strong, and the product continues to evolve quickly.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

umpCloud is solving the problem of fragmented identity and device management. Instead of relying on multiple tools for authentication, access control, and device policies, JumpCloud unifies everything into a single cloud-based platform. This centralization simplifies administration, reduces security risks, and saves our IT team a lot of time managing users across macOS, Windows, and Linux devices. The ability to enforce Zero Trust security principles without needing on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory has been a huge benefit.

 ### 9. JumpCloud has been a game-changer for our MSP in Mexico / Lat

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe C. | Cybersecurity Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

We love how JumpCloud lets us manage users, devices, and security policies for all our clients from a single platform. The ability to support Windows, macOS, and Linux without relying on on-prem AD has been a huge win, especially for SMB clients with hybrid setups. The Zero Trust approach, MFA, and remote device management have made our operations faster, more secure, and easier to scale.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The platform is constantly improving, but some advanced features can take a bit of time to fully understand and configure, especially for complex client environments. Also, it would be great to see more localized documentation and resources in Spanish for the Latin American market.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps us centralize identity and device management for multiple clients across different environments. Before, we had to deal with separate tools, on-prem Active Directory setups, and manual processes, which slowed us down and increased the risk of errors. Now, we can manage access, enforce security policies, and deploy configurations remotely, all from one platform. This saves us hours of work each week, improves security for our clients with MFA and Zero Trust, and gives us the flexibility to scale our services without adding extra overhead.

 ### 10. Useful and practical

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bianca E. | Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

We use JC at my organization to sync users' local credentials with their Google Workspace account. At the start we hit a few snags as we were learning to use the tool but the support provided by JumpCloud's team was instrumental in getting our users enrolled. Our organization mostly uses M365 so we only have a few users on JumpCloud but they are able to sign in every day and reset their passwords with little to no issue. The integration is very simple as well, all you have to do is send the user an invitation and have them click on a link.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

We accidentally synced every user in Google Workspace in Jumpcloud and were being charged for almost 200 licenses when we only needed 9. It would be nice if they were to implement a warning to prevent that from happening, and make it easier to remove users.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to a merger, our organization is split into two, where one half of the users are on Microsoft 365 and the other half are on Google Workspace. Previously we were creating Microsoft accounts for everyone, even those who mostly used Google because it was the only way we knew to remotely manage and sync their logins. Once we discovered JumpCloud, we were able to reduce the licensing fees from Microsoft by offloading those accounts. Now the users in our other company can be onboarded with just a Google account. It reduces our workload and makes things easier on end users since they have fewer credentials to keep track of.

 ### 11. Centralized Identity & Device Management That Just Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya S. | IT Operation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud makes it incredibly easy to manage user identities, devices, and access across multiple platforms from one place. Its cloud-based directory eliminates the need for on-premise Active Directory, which has been a huge time-saver. The integration options with SSO, MFA, and device management are intuitive, and the admin interface is clean and easy to navigate. Having cross-platform support for macOS, Windows, and Linux in the same tool is a major advantage.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

While powerful, some features still feel like they’re evolving. The policy configuration options could be more granular in certain areas, and device agent updates can sometimes require more manual intervention than expected. The MDM functionality is strong but not as fully featured as some dedicated MDM tools. Pricing can also add up as you scale, especially if you need advanced features across all users.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud has allowed us to centralize identity and device management in a single, cloud-based platform. Before adopting it, we were juggling multiple tools to manage user accounts, enforce security policies, and maintain compliance across macOS, Windows, and Linux devices. Now, we can provision and deprovision users quickly, apply consistent security policies, and integrate with our SSO and MFA workflows seamlessly.

This has reduced onboarding and offboarding time, lowered the risk of forgotten accounts, and improved overall security posture. The unified directory has eliminated the need for on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory, giving us more flexibility for remote work. Compliance audits are now faster because all activity logs, device statuses, and access controls are in one place.

 ### 12. Game Changer for Our Growing Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd C. | Systems Administrator and Support Lead, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud is super easy to use, and combines directory service(s), user and device management, and easy to implement SAML integration all under one roof. Our company is merging four sister brands together, and JumpCloud has been paramount for our IT team in so many ways during this trasition. We use it every day all day, it's great having so many tools in one place and JC support has always been top notch.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The UI can be a bit unwieldy as you add more and more users and devices; the Android MDM is a bit lacking, but improving

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is helping us rapidly move our on-prem infrastructure to the cloud, in a manner that's very fluid for both our internal admin team and our end users. Having directory services, identity management, robust device management, and security under one platform has streamlined the way our team works, saving us time and giving us a tighter environment all the while.

 ### 13. Great Cloud Management for Users, Devices, and Policies

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Firdavs S. | Owner/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The fact that users, devices policies and stuff can be managed from the cloud is great tbh

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Might not always be user friendly for beginners and also the pricing may get confusing at times. That should be improved.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me to authenticate the users on my app easily. But it helps me with a bunch of other stuff as well.

 ### 14. The unified platform is a game-changer for a remote team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boris G. | Compliance Security manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

We're a global, fully-remote company, and before JumpCloud, managing user identities, devices (Windows, Mac, Linux), and access was a nightmare. The fact that I can handle all of this from one single, cloud-based console is the biggest win. It's truly a "single pane of glass" for our entire fleet of devices and users, regardless of where they are in the world.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

While the core functionality is easy to get a handle on, some of the more advanced scripting and policy configurations can take some time to master. The documentation is good, but it can be a bit of a rabbit hole for a new admin trying to implement a complex policy.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time saved on manual tasks like user provisioning, device setup, and troubleshooting has allowed me to focus on more strategic initiatives. The remote command functionality, in particular, is a lifesaver for resolving issues on user devices without needing to interrupt their workflow with a lengthy support session.

 ### 15. Fast, efficient, feature rich, customizable & easy to use user and cross platform asset management

 ### 16. Jumpcloud IDAM solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nagaraju S. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud provides a centralized, cloud-based identity and device management platform that eliminates the need for multiple on-premises systems. I appreciate how it simplifies user lifecycle management, enables secure Single Sign-On (SSO) across various applications, and supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA) for enhanced security.
The cross-platform support (Windows, macOS, Linux) and remote device management capabilities make it ideal for managing a distributed workforce. Additionally, the user-friendly interface and API integrations help streamline administrative tasks, saving both time and effort.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

nothing as of on dislike jumpcloud is improved lot

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud has replaced multiple disconnected systems by providing a single, cloud-based platform for identity management, device management, and secure access control. It addresses the challenges of:

Managing user accounts across multiple platforms without on-premises Active Directory.

Enforcing consistent security policies such as MFA/2FA and password complexity rules.

Provisioning and deprovisioning users quickly during onboarding and offboarding.

Managing devices remotely for both in-office and remote employees.

 ### 17. Unified access management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verge t. | Cybersecurity Pre Sale Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

A great way to unified access management with identity and MDM management from legacy systems. Instead of using a bunch of different platforms, you can use JumpCloud for everything like managing all your devices, handling your single sign-on and other apps, and even setting up security policies. It's like the ultimate allinone IT toolkit.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Jumpcloud provides basic reporting and visibility, but the reporting features are limited in depth and customization. Generating detailed, meaningful reports often requires manual workarounds, and consolidating data on user activity, device compliance, or security events into a single, intuitive dashboard can be challenging. Visibility into device inventory is also incomplete, making it difficult to obtain a centralized view of applications installed across endpoints. These gaps complicate auditing, security monitoring, and compliancparticularly in regulated industries and can force administrators to spend extra time gathering and reconciling data, which reduces efficiency and increases the risk of oversight

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a companys computers, user accounts, and passwords across multiple applications can be inefficient and error-prone. Jumpclouds principal advantage is that it consolidates these functions into a single platform, allowing administrators to manage employees, devices (PC and Macs), and applications from one centralized interface. This unified approach simplifies IT operations and reduces administrative overhead, while improving security by providing a single control point for access management. For organizations seeking to streamline device and identity administration, jumpcloud offers a clear operational and security benefit.

 ### 18. Smooth Setup with Effective Access Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louisa F.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud for a standardized login experience for shared workstations in factories, labs, or training centers. I appreciate the uncontrolled access management after internal role changes as permissions automatically adjust. I like that JumpCloud allows for faster policy troubleshooting because changes are traceable and reversible. I also enjoy having minimal dependency on VPNs, which is excellent for everyday access management. Additionally, the initial setup was smooth.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Smarter default settings

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for standardized login experiences and managing access. It solves uncontrolled access issues after role changes and allows faster policy troubleshooting since changes are traceable and reversible, with minimal VPN dependency.

 ### 19. User-Friendly Interface with Room for Policy Enhancements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gal Z. | IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like JumpCloud's user-friendly interface and find the documentation to be great.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find the policies feature not working well on phones and it doesn't always work on PCs. The asset management feature is too simple, and an additional quantity option would be great.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for IT device management, specifically for managing devices outside the office.

 ### 20. All-in-One Directory Solution with Seamless Integration and Powerful Controls

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud provides a true all-in-one directory platform that centralizes identity, device, and access management without relying on a traditional on-prem AD. I especially like the seamless integration between user directory, MDM, SSO, and RADIUS — all managed through a single, clean admin console. The JumpCloud agent is lightweight yet powerful for enforcing password policies, MFA, and compliance controls across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The main downside of JumpCloud is that some workflows feel fragmented or limited compared to mature enterprise solutions. For example, the MDM and policy management capabilities are still evolving — they cover common use cases well, but lack the fine-grained configuration depth of platforms like Intune or JAMF. Reporting and audit exports could also be more flexible, especially for larger orgs that need granular historical logs or API access to raw event data.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is solving the challenge of managing users, devices, and access across a hybrid SaaS environment without relying on legacy Active Directory or multiple disconnected tools. It consolidates directory services, MDM, SSO, and RADIUS into one platform — giving us unified visibility and control over user identities and devices.

This has reduced admin overhead, improved onboarding/offboarding speed, and strengthened our overall security posture by enforcing MFA, password policies, and device compliance consistently across macOS, Windows, and Linux systems.

 ### 21. Jumpcloud Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sivani V. | IT System Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Not yet so far and there is no way to dislike this product.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is like AD and we don't have to build AD in our environment to build and run the business , very easy to use it and all the control will have IT only , there is lot of option you can use and customize the admin roles.

We can provide access as a IT helpdesk as a manager and super admin.

we can control end user profile ,MFA and conditional access.

we can get alert as well if we need any solution and failure status. happy to use it and i am giving the feed back because its genuine app and super fast service and customer support.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Germann V. | Head Of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

The tech support has always been top notch, and I required many sessions in setting it up, and fine tuning it over the years. They are ready to help at any time day or night and best of all they drive that last mile to get what you need done.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

It's complicated, there is a lot to know about the levels of security, drill down screens, plug ins for all the services that it needs to connect to in order to have a secure system, and it needs to be maintained on a daily basis to make sure that everything is working properly, user error can mess up the whole system, especially if they forget their password.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance for SOC2 and/or ISO 27001, as well as NIST Cybersecurity Framework. I also need it for locking down our mobile warriors on the road in case anything happens to their devices.

 ### 24. Intuitive UI and Seamless Access, but Setup Could Be Smoother

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. I really appreciate the mobile app — it’s simple to use and allows me to log into my desktop without any hassle. Since I already have many passwords memorized, this platform is ideal for working across multiple computers and locations. The ability to create multiple folders has also been especially helpful (e.g., a personal folder, a shared folder with admin, and shared folders with other team members). It makes it easy to access exactly what I need, whether I’m on my personal laptop while traveling or on my work desktop. I haven’t explored all of JumpCloud’s capabilities yet, but I look forward to utilizing more of its features over time.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The installation and initial setup process required a bit of extra navigation. This may have been due to compatibility issues, but once everything was configured, the platform ran smoothly.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company works across multiple platforms, often with several accounts under the same system. Since our IT administrator now works PT and most of our team operates remotely, we frequently encountered issues such as login difficulties and password updates. JumpCloud has helped streamline this process by allowing us to manage and grant access to these accounts more efficiently, reducing downtime and minimizing the need to rely on IT for every access-related issue.

 ### 25. Effortless Device Management, But Needs More Advanced Features and Faster Sync

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud’s MDM features make managing company devices much easier and more consistent. The ability to remotely configure, update, and secure macOS and Windows devices from a single dashboard saves a lot of manual effort. I really like how straightforward it is to push policies, enforce security baselines, and deploy software without needing users to bring their devices in.

It’s also reliable for monitoring device compliance, we can quickly see which machines are out of date, missing updates, or have security settings that need attention. The integration with user management is seamless, so devices automatically stay tied to the right users. Overall, JumpCloud provides a simple, centralized way to manage and secure our endpoints without a heavy infrastructure footprint.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

ome of the MDM features feel a bit limited compared to larger platforms. Updates and policy syncs can take a little while to apply, and a few settings require extra steps to configure. Reporting could also be more detailed, but overall it still gets the job done well for most needs.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps us manage and secure all company devices remotely without needing a complex on-prem setup. It simplifies provisioning new laptops, enforcing security policies, and keeping systems up to date. This saves a lot of time during onboarding and ensures devices stay compliant even when users work remotely. Overall, it reduces manual IT tasks and gives us better visibility into our device fleet.

 ### 26. Exceptionally User-Friendly IT Management with Seamless Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akira N. | Internal IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud offers an exceptionally clean and user-friendly interface, ensuring that all essential features are readily accessible. The platform strikes an impressive balance by providing a wide range of IT management settings and modifications, yet everything remains easy to locate thanks to its logical organization.

Installing the agent on new devices is straightforward, and applying policies is a seamless process. Users management cannot be made simpler and makes frequent tasks such as binding accounts, password resets, staging, super simple.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

One of my main frustrations with JumpCloud has been the reliability of its local agent. While the agent is supposed to quietly enforce policies and keep systems in sync with JumpCloud, my experience has been inconsistent. On some Windows machines, it performs perfectly, but on others, it unpredictably stops applying policies or fails to update user credentials. Troubleshooting these issues can be challenging, as the logs are often unclear, and JumpCloud’s support usually suggests reinstalling the agent rather than providing an explanation for the failure. Although this isn’t a dealbreaker, if you’re planning to deploy JumpCloud across many endpoints, be prepared to spend extra time monitoring and managing the agent to ensure it’s functioning as intended.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud solves the headache of managing users and devices across multiple platforms and locations. Instead of juggling Active Directory for Windows, separate tools for Macs, and another for SaaS apps, JumpCloud brings everything under one roof. From an IT support perspective, that means faster onboarding, fewer password reset tickets, and consistent policy enforcement no matter where a user is working. It’s especially beneficial in hybrid or remote environments where you can’t rely on traditional domain joins but still need secure, centralized control over identities and access.

 ### 27. The Best Solution for Server Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco C.

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I love how JumpCloud allows us to manage a large number of servers and have detailed control over permissions and access. The simplicity in configuration and management is admirable; everything is easy to understand and operate, which allows us to achieve results quickly. The ability to run scripts with privileges is extremely useful for our team. JumpCloud has significantly improved our operation by allowing us to granularize server access and separate roles, which significantly reduces the time needed to complete administrative tasks. I also greatly appreciate the unequivocal identification of users instead of using shared accounts and passwords, which increases security. The versatility of the system, its support for multiple operating systems, controlled SSH access, and centralized script execution are features I deeply value. Moving from one server to another without worrying about correct access saves a lot of time in my daily routine. Overall, the simplicity of use, ease of management, and cost efficiency make it an indispensable tool, and I have a high likelihood of recommending JumpCloud to others, always with a rating of 10.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I have no complaints.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud allows for granular access to servers, manages roles and permissions, and executes mass tasks from a single center. It enhances security by eliminating shared accounts and saves administrative time, facilitating movement between servers without searching for passwords.

 ### 28. Easy Setup and Accessibility, but Agent Needs Improvement

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I have been using JumpCloud for almost six to seven years, primarily for identity management, SSO, policies, and access controls, along with MDMs. I appreciate how easy it was to discover and start using JumpCloud. Its ease of use and the ability to deploy it quickly, especially with the MSI package, made it a preferred choice over Excel, our previous solution. The setup process was notably straightforward, from the cloud directory to SSU and deploying agents. I find JumpCloud very beneficial for managing users and devices, including password resets and access management, which enhances our operations significantly. The features I find most useful are the patch management, command system for deploying commands, and the policy system. Furthermore, I value JumpCloud's ease of use, accessibility, and the quick turnaround I receive from support, which makes my experience with JumpCloud quite satisfactory.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find the JumpCloud agents problematic. They often need additional work, as there are ongoing issues with agents going offline. It would be beneficial if there was an option to quickly reconnect or 'ping' a device to re-establish communication with the central server for agents that have been offline for a while.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for efficient identity provision, SaaS management, patch management, and access control, enhancing our user and device management while simplifying password resets.

 ### 31. We unlocked our remote team's productivity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anrredo D. | Safety Compliance Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like most that JumpCloud helps manage our varied fleet of devices running a variety of operating systems. Enforcing uniform security policies on both company issued and employee personal laptops they use to carry out work is incredibly useful and does not require complex scripting. Our small IT team saves a lot of time because it is possible to onboard new hires with pre-configured access quite easily.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The extent of customization of access to certain applications can be a little opaque at times. More user-friendly wizards that help to create highly niche permissions on specific software would be a wonderful thing. Besides, although it works well with core access, it has taken a little more manual work than expected to integrate with some very specialized internal tools.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had difficulty with providing access to our expanding remote workforce in a secure manner. Employees frequently needed to await manual IT intervention to receive the tools and data they required. Today, using JumpCloud, new team members will be operational on day one with the necessary access and our IT department is no longer spending time responding to access requests.

 ### 32. Reliable solution with excellent support and usability

 ### 34. Find Peace of Mind: JumpCloud Makes Access Safer and Easier.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shalini P. | Project Coordinator & Quality Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Arguably, the most pronounced of JumpCloud’s features is user authentication and device visibility in one place and no demands for a separate NAC or even firewalling, notably when juxtaposed against tools such as Cisco Duo. User access management is very intuitive when integrating on-prem AD or resources in the cloud. The Duo Push-style authentication is very friendly to users; I can just tap "yes" on my phone to verify. They also support multiple MFA methods (SMS, biometrics, hardware keys) which adds some flexibility for differing user needs.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The shortcoming is that similar to Cisco Duo, JumpCloud requires internet access for MFA during outages, which can be really a drag. Also, its integration with legacy systems sometimes is not smooth and initial SSO setups, especially against on-prem AD, can be very daunting. I’ve also encountered some delay in authentication requests – that’s going to further put off access when urgency is of essence.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud has a big advantage since it gives users safe, compliant, and easy access to thousands of endpoints. And the layering MFA and adaptive authentication makes me feel safer because it greatly lowers the danger of phishing and stolen passwords. Overall, in comparison to available tools, a JumpCloud is far superior concerning audit trail and visibility over device health, and most importantly, meeting their very strict compliance requirements; all this in one single pane.

 ### 35. Simplified Identity and Device Management, Needs Better Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agustin S.

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I value JumpCloud for its scalability, usability, and the ability to control access from one pane. I appreciate the single sign-on feature, which is a main feature I utilize for older subscription apps. The unified device management using device policy sets is another aspect I find beneficial. JumpCloud helps solve the complexities of managing multiple identities and accessing cloud resources and endpoints, addressing issues of insecure onboarding.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The reporting and analytics could be more robust, especially for security reports. Also, the initial integration with some legacy applications and smaller SaaS platforms doesn't work smoothly.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud to unify identity and device management, secure access, and control SaaS applications. It solves the issues of insecure onboarding and manages complexity by offering single sign-on and unified device management.

 ### 37. JumpCloud Does It All

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The most helpful thing about JumpCloud is the ability to work in tandem with our IT firm to help get new computers up and working for new staff members quickly. As a predominant user of Apple Mac products, JumpCloud's end user interface is always so sleek and modern, and matches the Apple aesthetic. Since I predominantly am helping the end user at their computer, having the JumpCloud system be easy to use and work for the staff is paramount. I can honestly say that I have never run into a major or serious issue that has put our computers at risk or prevented us from working as usual while using JumpCloud's services.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The only downside I have encountered with JumpCloud is that sometimes it takes longer than I would like for new systems to come online. There have been a few times with new computers/users that getting them set up for the first time or getting their computer to show their user login takes longer than I would like. It always ends up working out, but it sometimes makes the onboarding process take longer on my end.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is helping us solve the management of our computers, as well as managing what users are assigned to what computer. Having the ability to add a user to any of our computers in the system almost instantly is a huge plus and makes swapping users if an incident with a computer appears much easier, and allows our users to continue working seamlessly.

 ### 38. Simple and user-friendly!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The user interface is clean, well-organized, and very beginner-friendly, making it easy to navigate and manage without a steep learning curve. Even for someone new to identity and access management, getting started with JumpCloud feels straightforward. It’s designed in a way that helps you find what you need quickly and get tasks done efficiently.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I dislike about JumpCloud is that it’s still missing some integrations with other widely used technologies. While the platform covers many core features well, the lack of seamless integration with certain third-party tools can create extra steps or workarounds. Expanding native support for more external services would make it even more powerful and versatile in diverse IT environments.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is helping me centralize access to all my applications through a single identity provider (IdP), which simplifies user management and strengthens security. By having all users authenticate through one platform, I gain much more control over who has access to what, and I can monitor user logins more effectively. This centralized approach not only improves visibility but also reduces the complexity of managing multiple authentication systems.

 ### 44. An Excellent Core Product with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kartik N. | Manager, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The best thing about JumpCloud is its ability to unify our entire IT stack into a single pane of glass. It's our central source of truth for user identities, device management (for Mac, Windows, and Linux), and secure access to virtually everything—from cloud apps via SSO to our office Wi-Fi via RADIUS. It's the modern, flexible alternative to Active Directory that we desperately needed for our hybrid, multi-OS environment

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

While JumpCloud is a fantastic core product, there are a few areas for improvement. The pricing model can become quite expensive as you scale and add more advanced features, which are often bundled as separate add-ons. Also, while its MDM (Mobile Device Management) capabilities are good for basic policy enforcement, they are not as mature or feature-rich as dedicated solutions like Jamf or Intune for power users with complex compliance needs.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fundamentally, JumpCloud solves the problem of fragmented IT management for the modern, hybrid workplace. Before, our IT infrastructure was a patchwork of different tools that didn't talk to each other, creating security gaps and massive inefficiencies.
1: The "Multi-OS & Hybrid Work" Dilemma
2: "Tool Sprawl" and Administrative Burden
3: Inconsistent Security and Compliance Gaps
4: Inefficient and Insecure Onboarding/Offboarding

 ### 45. Great All-in-One Tool for Identity and Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashwathraj R. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I really like about JumpCloud is how it brings everything into one place — user management, device control, and access policies. It's been a big help for our hybrid setup, especially with users spread across different locations. The fact that I can manage Windows, Mac, and Linux devices from a single console is a huge time-saver. It also makes onboarding new users much easier and more consistent.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

There are a few things that could be better. The reporting tools feel a bit basic — it’d be great to have more flexible or detailed reporting options. Also, some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to learn, especially if you're not used to scripting or managing policies for macOS devices.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud has made it much easier for us to support remote users. We no longer have to rely on clunky VPN setups or remote access tools just to do basic user or device management. With JumpCloud, we can manage user accounts, reset passwords, push policies, and even handle device updates — all remotely. It’s saved us a lot of back-and-forth and reduced downtime for our team. Being able to support users no matter where they are has made a big difference in how responsive and efficient our IT support can be.

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I appreciate that JumpCloud's platform supports our entire manufacturing environment, from macOS on the factory floor used by our Artisan team, to Windows in the office. This capability allows us to manage policies and functions efficiently across different operating systems from a single console, which greatly enhances our zero trust security approach. JumpCloud simplifies the management of login scripts across various systems, which is a significant advantage for us. Additionally, the initial setup was incredibly straightforward and quick, especially when starting with our mock endpoint, saving us a considerable amount of time.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find the pricing structure somewhat confusing, especially when adding different components.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud unifies endpoint and identity access, simplifying auditing with reliable SSO. It consolidates decentralized servers and manages Linux and Windows efficiently, reducing manual tasks. Its support across devices ensures zero trust security, enhancing operational efficiency.

 ### 47. Jumpcloud become very stable.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristóbal Huerta E. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

All changes are applied instantly, I don't need to ak users to logout/login to apply permissions and/or credentials added.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

When a password change, I apply the change for one account, but don't update all the same accounts in different shared folders.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us to avoid unauthorized access, using SSO for some applications.

 ### 48. Multi-OS support and simplified conditional access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehdi M. | Lead IT/SecOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The native support for multiple OS and the ease with which one can implement robust conditional access.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The platform is generally effective, but the management of applications and patch management still lack depth to meet certain advanced needs.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud allows me to cover several key needs: a unified MDM, an SSO with conditional access based on device compliance, and smooth management of a multi-OS fleet. All of this enhances security, simplifies administration, and reduces operational complexity.

 ### 49. Full control with one IT person

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Baruch O. | Software Developer, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

It is one place to meet all the ISO requirements of IT

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

You have to know what you are doing. Especially with macOS, make sure you're not locking yourself or your employee out of the laptop.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have an IT guy, and our CTO has to manage the security himself.
He defines the requirements and maintains a table of all employees, sending us warnings when we are not compliant.

 ### 50. One of the best tools I have used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand S. | Assistant IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

umpCloud offers a powerful and flexible solution for managing users, devices, and access across our organization. I appreciate the intuitive interface and the ease of integrating with various platforms, both cloud and on-premise. The centralized management dashboard saves time and reduces complexity, making day-to-day administration much more efficient. Features like single sign-on and automated provisioning are especially valuable for scaling our IT operations securely. Overall, JumpCloud has greatly improved our ability to manage and secure our IT environment

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud lacks some advanced reporting and geolocation features, and its macOS application management can be challenging. The documentation is occasionally incomplete, and push deployment for certain apps is limited. Admin permission scheduling and comprehensive visibility of installed applications are also missing, which can affect IT operational efficiency.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is solving the challenge of unified identity and device management across diverse platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux), cloud services, and networks. By centralizing user authentication, access control, and device oversight in a single platform, it reduces IT complexity, enhances security with features like Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication, and streamlines onboarding and offboarding. This benefits us with improved operational efficiency, better compliance, and greater visibility over our IT environment. User access is easily managed from anywhere, supporting remote work and ensuring that only the right people have the right access at the right time.
