It ensures that the machines of all of our creative team are patented to meet certain security baselines, such as creating time outs on screen locks or disk encryption. We also take advantage of its secure LDAP integration, and use it extensively to authenticate users to our on premise network attached storage and render farm software. Such centralization radically simplifies the control of access to our valuable production factors. **What do you dislike about JumpCloud?** The policy deployment status is at times slower to update post a workstation reboot than I would like, however, causing immediate troubleshooting to be a little less efficient. I also would like to see the coverage of particular hardware health metrics of our high performance creative machines to be more detailed to facilitate proactive maintenance. Also, it will be a nice addition to have a stronger self service portal where users can safely adjust limited local machine settings. **What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our biggest struggle was to standardize security posture across all our unique creative workstations particularly where there was a mix of employee and contractor devices. Prior to JumpCloud, it took a manual check a long time to ensure that all machines were set up with the appropriate firewall settings, software that was required to be installed, and encrypted. Today, with the single device management of JumpCloud, we can automatically propagate such settings and ensure that all the fleets comply. This has provided us with a lot more confidence on our security position and has provided a significant simplification of our project preparedness. ### 7. Compared to using my AD previously, Jumpcloud make the user onboarding, management, devices management and policy management easier. A user-based password management also is a useful page to help our team to reduce workload in managing user's authentication, where rather than the IT support ding the changes, user can help themself to change their own password. Customer support also plays a good role and support me very well during our implementation stage. **What do you dislike about JumpCloud?** The reporting part. Every implementation need a good reporting especially when it involved presenting the current status of my Jumpcloud deployment to my stakeholders (e.g. my bosses. directors, auditors). While Jumpcloud have a good improvement in term of user onboarding report and devices, Jumpcloud might need more to focus on improving the reporting for policy management, such as a specific dashboard to shows the policy implementation analytics. (e.g. how many policy got implemented vs how many fail, reason of failing, percentage of success policy in policy group/device group, an info button when policy fails, showing what is failing, suggesstion on how to solve the issue). This will be useful when my boss ask me "what the success percentage of our current deployment? whats the top most fail policy we encountered?" Another page that might be useful is a tree page to show a connection between device group, policy group, and user group. This will help my new team member how just join the team to understand and analyse our company Jumpcloud structure for ongoing support. **What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mass coverage of users management when they want to onboard and offboard from the company. Its cloud-based directory eliminates the need for on-premise Active Directory, which has been a huge time-saver. The integration options with SSO, MFA, and device management are intuitive, and the admin interface is clean and easy to navigate. Having cross-platform support for macOS, Windows, and Linux in the same tool is a major advantage. **What do you dislike about JumpCloud?** While powerful, some features still feel like they’re evolving. The policy configuration options could be more granular in certain areas, and device agent updates can sometimes require more manual intervention than expected. The MDM functionality is strong but not as fully featured as some dedicated MDM tools. Pricing can also add up as you scale, especially if you need advanced features across all users. **What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** JumpCloud has allowed us to centralize identity and device management in a single, cloud-based platform. Before adopting it, we were juggling multiple tools to manage user accounts, enforce security policies, and maintain compliance across macOS, Windows, and Linux devices. Now, we can provision and deprovision users quickly, apply consistent security policies, and integrate with our SSO and MFA workflows seamlessly. This has reduced onboarding and offboarding time, lowered the risk of forgotten accounts, and improved overall security posture. The unified directory has eliminated the need for on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory, giving us more flexibility for remote work. Compliance audits are now faster because all activity logs, device statuses, and access controls are in one place. ### 48. Our company is merging four sister brands together, and JumpCloud has been paramount for our IT team in so many ways during this trasition. We use it every day all day, it's great having so many tools in one place and JC support has always been top notch. **What do you dislike about JumpCloud?** The UI can be a bit unwieldy as you add more and more users and devices; the Android MDM is a bit lacking, but improving **What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** JumpCloud is helping us rapidly move our on-prem infrastructure to the cloud, in a manner that's very fluid for both our internal admin team and our end users. Having directory services, identity management, robust device management, and security under one platform has streamlined the way our team works, saving us time and giving us a tighter environment all the while. ### 49. The fact that I can handle all of this from one single, cloud-based console is the biggest win. It's truly a "single pane of glass" for our entire fleet of devices and users, regardless of where they are in the world. **What do you dislike about JumpCloud?** While the core functionality is easy to get a handle on, some of the more advanced scripting and policy configurations can take some time to master. The documentation is good, but it can be a bit of a rabbit hole for a new admin trying to implement a complex policy. **What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The time saved on manual tasks like user provisioning, device setup, and troubleshooting has allowed me to focus on more strategic initiatives.
