## JumpCloud Reviews
 ### 1. Excellent MDM with Fast Integration, But Some FileVault Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like JumpCloud's integration with Google Workspace and Office 365 because it helps keep our user accounts unified and synced across most of our platforms and services. I also appreciate how quickly commands are sent to laptops, with unlocking and locking user accounts being almost instantaneous. The preconfigured configuration profiles and instructions made the initial setup relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

There's some issues with how JumpCloud interacts with macOS FileVault. If an account is locked and then the device reboots, it's impossible to unlock the account until a different user logs in and re-connects to the internet. The admin portal has gotten slower since the redesign, especially the search bar. Alerts/notification channels don't seem to work properly when replaying those alerts via email.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps us manage local user accounts and passwords on macOS. The integration with Workspace and Office 365 keeps user accounts unified. Commands are sent quickly to laptops, and unlocking accounts is almost instantaneous.

 ### 2. AD is not the way for everyone. MFA on Linux/Mac and Win is HUGE!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

We work in a media-centric environment, we move and catalog media assets all day long. This environment is best suited by utilizing Mac laptops and Linux servers. We have very few PC devices. We realized that Active Directory and a couple domain controllers were not appropriate for our environment, too much overhead, too little to gain. Then we found Jumpcloud, our directory service in the cloud. Jumpcloud gave us a huge amount of flexibility when it came to what types of devices we can support without having to take care of domain controllers.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

As JC continues to roll out more features, figuring out how to implement everything fully can feel a bit daunting. There have been times when I’ve reached out to support with questions and specific use-case scenarios. They aren’t always the fastest, but they do respond. The documentation is also solid and, importantly, it isn’t obscured by marketing hype, so it’s easy to find and use.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with a team that needs access to assets located on-prem. The team is also split between remote and on-prem staff. By using a simple feature to set up a RADIUS server in the cloud (and I really do mean simple), you can configure your corporate firewall VPN to allow access for specific teams while requiring them to use 2FA to get onto the network. From there, JC controls credential-level access to each machine they’re assigned, and you can also enable 2FA at the machine level. Overall, JC helps address some of my security issues and does so effectively.

 ### 3. Effortless MDM with Top-Notch Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sairam T. | Desktop Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like using JumpCloud for user account and device management. It's the first tool I've used that allows me to set up a dedicated user profile once a user is bound to a device, which is really useful. I also appreciate how it enforces policy and reduces manual work and repetitive tasks for IT technicians. JumpCloud's latest features make it stand out as a potential leading MDM tool in the corporate world. The initial setup was straightforward, like plug and play.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Under patch updates other than OS updates, it's better to include driver, BIOS & application updates automatically. Better if it had Windows OS customization and web filtering. Based on device hardware, get the updates from manufacturer portals like for Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. Instead of the default Windows OS from the web, we can customize, like built-in applications attached and drivers, etc., for the default OS.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for user and device management, simplifying patch management and application deployment. It reduces manual work for IT technicians, enhances policy enforcement, and offers a plug-and-play setup.

 ### 4. JumpCloud Simplifies Cross-Platform Endpoint Management in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like most about JumpCloud is that it provides a single platform for managing Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints. In practice, this has eliminated the need to maintain separate tools for each operating system and has made it much easier to standardize device management across our environment. Tasks such as user provisioning, policy enforcement, and access control can all be handled in one place, which has saved a significant amount of administrative time and reduced day-to-day overhead.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

One downside I experienced with JumpCloud was its password manager. Although it was convenient to have it integrated into the platform, it still lacked some of the usability and collaboration features you typically get with more dedicated password management tools.

More specifically, sharing credentials, secure notes, and other sensitive information between users wasn’t as intuitive or as flexible as I expected. As a result, managing shared access across teams felt more cumbersome, especially when compared with solutions that provide more streamlined workflows and more granular sharing options.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helped us address IT tool sprawl by bringing endpoint management, identity, and access control together in a single platform. Rather than maintaining separate tools for device management, directory services, and access policies, we were able to manage everything from one place. That reduced complexity and overhead, and it also made it easier to keep our environment consistent.

It also delivered clear compliance benefits. With centralized policy enforcement, user management, and device visibility, it became much easier to demonstrate control over access and endpoint security. Tasks like enforcing password policies, managing user access, and keeping systems updated could all be handled in a standardized way, which supported audit readiness and reduced risk.

Overall, JumpCloud streamlined our operations by cutting down the number of tools we needed, while improving security, visibility, and our ability to meet compliance requirements.

 ### 5. Streamlined Device Management with Easy Accessibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Indra G.

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like JumpCloud's straightforward approach and accessibility of the platform. I appreciate how Commands save me a lot of time, as I don't have to visit devices in person. Use management is a necessity for my daily operations, and device management offers immense time-saving and access. JumpCloud has also solved the issue of mass control over a large number of devices. Furthermore, the ease of access, cloud control, uniform and lateral access across all devices, and online storage as opposed to on-device storage, are aspects I value.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

My profile is linked to the entirety of the company's assets, not just the property I maintain, so sometimes it's annoying for all those other devices to appear or to have to specifically filter them out. I would like to be able to select only the property or subset of devices that are mine and only manage and see them. It could have been easier.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud solves the issue of mass device control, saving me time with commands and user management. I like its straightforward approach and accessibility, plus the ease of access and cloud control it offers compared to the domain system we used before.

 ### 6. Intuitive, Reliable SSO with Seamless Slack Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erick V. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

As a user, I find it pretty straightforward to use day in and day out for SSO purposes, and it’s easy to integrate with other apps like Slack. It performs very well, and the uptime has been solid and reliable. Overall, the tool feels intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

As a user, the only downside I’ve noticed—and it’s not that significant—is that there’s still room for improvement on the UI side.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password management and security across the platforms I use.

 ### 7. JumpCloud review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack O. | Lead Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The ability to manage users and devices with a cloud-hosted platform so I do not have to manage an Active Directory server.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

It has some bugs such as when devices do not go online for an extended period of time the JumpCloud service no longer checks in for updates, I have to reinstall the service. Also recently the service seems to be down more than usual and Remote Assist sometimes doesn't work.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before JumpCloud all of our users had local user profiles on devices and if a user left the company, we did not have a password for the user and could not log in as them to get any data off the device. Now we have a solid process for offboarding users and having full access to devices. The Remote Assist feature is very helpful for user device support.

 ### 8. Accessible Free Trial and Flexible Permissions for Secure, Efficient Access Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boyan R. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like best about JumpCloud is that it offers a free trial for small teams, which makes it very accessible for startups and growing companies to get started without high upfront costs. I also appreciate its flexible permission configuration, which allows administrators to easily customize access controls based on different roles and needs. This flexibility helps improve both security and operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

One thing I dislike about JumpCloud is that administrator seats are also billed, which can increase overall costs. In addition, when a user account is suspended and access is disabled, billing still continues. The charges only stop after the user is completely deleted, which can be inconvenient and lead to unnecessary expenses.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is solving the problem of managing user identities and access control across multiple systems in a centralized way. For our team, it helps us manage permissions for more than 10 users and administer access across over 50 servers from one place. This reduces manual work, improves security consistency, and makes onboarding/offboarding much faster and less error-prone.

 ### 9. Managing Devices and Access in the Cloud Era – A JumpCloud Admin's Perspective

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hammad A. | Senior IT Operation Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

As a JumpCloud admin, I rely heavily on its cloud-native directory platform to manage our distributed environment efficiently and securely. The ability to configure and control Device Groups allows us to segment and enforce policies based on organizational roles and risk profiles, improving our operational structure and endpoint hygiene.

We're leveraging RADIUS-as-a-Service to authenticate users on our network infrastructure, which eliminates the complexity of managing on-prem NPS servers and ensures secure Wi-Fi and VPN access using centralized credentials. With Policy Management, I can deploy and enforce device security baselines—such as screen lock timers, encryption, and firewall settings—at scale across macOS and Windows systems, using templated or custom policies.

Mobile Device Management (MDM) gives us full lifecycle control of our Apple devices, enabling zero-touch enrollment, configuration profiles, and remote wipe capabilities. Meanwhile, Software Management allows us to automate package deployments and updates across fleets, drastically reducing time spent on manual installs and patching.

We’ve also structured our access model using User and System Groups, which simplifies the application of SSO, command scripts, and policies with granular control. JumpCloud’s architecture supports our Zero Trust initiatives, while significantly reducing the complexity and cost associated with traditional domain controllers or hybrid AD setups.

Overall, JumpCloud empowers our IT operations with scalable, policy-driven management, making identity and device control seamless across our hybrid cloud environment.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud is excellent for unified identity and device management across platforms, but it still lacks:

Granular admin roles

Deep MDM/MAM features

Enterprise-level compliance tooling

Advanced analytics and real-time monitoring

It’s perfect for cloud-first, mid-size teams with mixed OS environments—but large enterprises or orgs with heavy compliance or Apple/Windows specialization may need complementary tools.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps us consolidate and streamline multiple IT functions—specifically around identity, device, and access management—into a single, cloud-based platform. We're using RADIUS for secure network authentication, which eliminates the need for maintaining on-prem RADIUS servers. With Device Groups and Policy Management, we can enforce consistent security configurations across our entire device fleet, saving hours of manual setup and reducing security risks.

Through Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Software Management, we automate OS-level settings and software deployment, keeping endpoints compliant and up to date. The use of Groups lets us efficiently organize users and systems, apply role-based access policies, and scale configurations across departments.

The biggest benefit has been improved operational efficiency, enhanced visibility, and a stronger zero-trust security posture—all while reducing the number of tools and overhead required to manage our IT environment.

 ### 10. JumpCloud Simplifies Secure Device Management and Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud makes our device management easy and secure. Onboarding went super well and even team members who have no IT experience were able to install both the device and password managers. I can easily see which team members have which device and help them remotely. Their password manager works like a charm and I love having both in the same tool. It's also saving us costs because we don't have to pay for two tools. I never have to worry about whether laptops are regularly updated.-The admin dashboard is intuitive and customizable making it easy to find what I need.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Sometimes the password manager has trouble synching. I have to re-add passwords to shared folders to make them visible to team members which takes time.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud ensures our devices are secure and maintained. When a device is lost, stolen, or returned I can easily lock and wipe it to ensure our company data cannot be stolen. JumpCloud automatically stores the BitLocker key which ensures no team members accidentally lose access to their devices.

 ### 11. Ease of Use and Quick Command of Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I really like the ease of deploying commands, whether it's PowerShell or others, to all our devices or just some specific ones. Additionally, the ease of use of JumpCloud is remarkable. The initial setup was quite simple, which highlights how easy it is to configure the tool. I also appreciate the ability to send commands to a specific computer quickly, which is a limitation in other NDMs we use.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I think something that could be improved in some way in JumpCloud is the patch management for updating devices. It's more convenient to handle it in tools like IT, the way it is managed, for example, the minimum version for the device and so on.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud to manage Windows or Linux devices. It allows me to quickly send commands to specific computers, something limited in other NDMs, making it easier to manage devices as a group.

 ### 12. Smooth Onboarding with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco M. | Senior IT Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I really like the admin access per device feature in JumpCloud; it's my favorite. It's super easy to use, and having a timer makes it a much smoother experience compared to older systems. I also appreciated how smooth the initial setup was; we had just a single person deploy it.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find smart groups should be more dynamic so we can have some creative freedoms on how we send out commands. This would also enhance the MDM functionality. Allowing a lot of conditions like where a user was enrolled, by what OS they have, what processor type, user deployment, and department deployment, similar to what Jamf does really well, would help grab more customers.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for IDP management and onboarding. It solves admin approval and access issues during offboarding. The admin access per device feature is easy to use and enhances the experience with its timer.

 ### 13. Centralized Device Management with Smooth Remote Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit M. | Head IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I appreciate JumpCloud for making remote support easy and allowing smooth communication with each device. It's fantastic for centralizing our asset monitoring, as we can manage everything on one platform. I find it to be very fast and easy to use, and the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I find the dashboard is slow sometimes, especially in the morning. It affects my ability to add devices and access them, which is frustrating for me.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find JumpCloud helps me centralize our asset monitoring and makes remote access easy. I appreciate the easy setup and fast operation, but the dashboard is sometimes slow.

 ### 14. Secure, Centralized Access Control with SSO Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian P. | Software Engineer L1/E4, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like most about JumpCloud is that it securely centralizes access control to applications through SSO, allowing you to manage secure access for users.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

What I don't like about JumpCloud is that sometimes the integrations don't behave as expected, causing navigation errors and issues with user interaction.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of consolidating access and enabling secure remote management of computers by creating additional layers of security within the corporate environment.

 ### 15. Jumpcloud Makes Cloud Management Effortless and Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krestofer Valentina M. | L1 customer service respresentative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Jumpcloud makes life more efficient; it makes things so much easier. It more than delivers by eliminating traditional infrastructure and allowing you to manage everything without having to rely on a single server, all from the cloud, which has made everything much easier, especially when you're working.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The reality is that sometimes its interface is chaotic and not very intuitive. Configuring agents on Mac and Windows computers often results in random errors that technical support takes days to resolve if you don't pay for the premium plan.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It primarily addresses fragmentation, how to consolidate everything into a single device, and allows for automation and ensures that all rules are being followed.

 ### 16. Solid identity and device management for cloud-first organisations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro O. | CMO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

It centralises user provisioning, SSO, and device management across platforms in a way that genuinely cuts down IT overhead and makes day-to-day administration feel more manageable.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The UI could be more intuitive, and some workflows still feel more complex than they need to be for routine admin tasks.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes the need for on-premise directory infrastructure and gives IT teams clean, centralised control across a distributed workforce.

 ### 17. Comprehensive, Easy-to-Use IAM and Device Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff H. | Director of IT & Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like that JumpCloud offers a lot of features in one easy-to-use platform, which makes it convenient for managing IAM, SSO, and patching. I find the device management to be great, and I appreciate how JumpCloud has become a one-stop shop for managing devices. Additionally, JumpCloud provides more features like SSO and identity management compared to the other products we used before. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

It would be nice if the patching were more automated. JumpCloud already pulls an inventory of software, and it would be great if it could see outdated versions on endpoints and update them. Also, I wish it would update apps only on endpoints that have them, instead of forcing an install for everyone or requiring me to create a specific group.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud centralizes identity management, SSO, MDM, and endpoint patching, providing a single platform that's easy to use.

 ### 18. Jumpcloud For The Win

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris K. | Associate Director of Global IT Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Having a single pane of glass for Identity, MDM, PW Management, MFA, and Conditional access is a huge win. The addition of asset mangement is a nice bonus.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The catch to having so many options is that not all systems are as feature rich a single use system, but they are slowing building out features.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removing outdated AD services and simplifiying MDM.

 ### 19. Simple, Centralized User and Device Management Across Operating Systems

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

What I like best about JumpCloud is that it makes user and device management simple and centralized. It is easy to use, works well across different operating systems, and saves us time compared with managing multiple separate tools.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The mobile version is not very user-friendly. The interface can be difficult to navigate, and some tasks are much easier to complete on a desktop.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps us manage user access, devices, and security from one centralized platform. This saves time, simplifies IT administration, and makes it easier to onboard or remove employees while keeping company systems secure.

 ### 20. AI MCP Connections and App Integrations—A High-Performance IT Pitstop

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerone W. | IT Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

AI MCP connections, Performance of end user assets, Integrations of our apps in single place..working as a single IT Pitstop for our organization

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

RADIUS implementation for new user onboarding creation on login keychain level not with the system keychain and UI/UX were very slow and buffering.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows login issue were users password not get synced after the password reset and expiration.

 ### 21. A Unified IT Platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

It’s simple to use and lets me run customized scripts. It’s also easy to integrate with other systems, which makes it fit smoothly into my existing setup.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

There’s no way to manage Apple TV devices. Once you click Save, the working window disappears. Then you have to go back and search again—for example, for the same user or device. Deploying apps isn’t easy either, and there are fewer supported apps than I expected.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of money in any tech department’s budget by helping manage Windows and Apple devices, as well as users.

 ### 22. Cloud Integration Simplified with JumpCloud

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | System & Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2019

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like that JumpCloud is software as a service and is cloud-hosted, making it a great solution for large organizations. It allows the IT department to manage devices easily under one pane of glass, both remotely and in-house, minimizing the administration of domain servers. JumpCloud was also very easy to set up, a little application installed on our devices, and then the cloud integration just worked. It was great.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The price for private schools is too high.

**Recommendations to others considering JumpCloud:**

Try it out. It's worth a good hard look and I think you'll be impressed.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud allowed us to eliminate domain controllers for multiple vendors and offers a cloud radius solution. It hosts our domain in the cloud, managing devices easily under one plane of glass both remotely and in-house, while minimizing administration of domain servers.

 ### 23. Efficient Platform for User and Device Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Archangel Gabriel S. | Information Technology | Desktop Support Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like using JumpCloud for user and device management, as it allows me to manage user access and enforce security policies effectively. The platform is easy to use and reliable, which I find beneficial. I especially value the device management feature, which helps monitor and manage company devices, enforce policies, and ensure systems are compliant with security standards. The initial setup of JumpCloud was very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The device policy applies is intact with the user policy. If the device is bind to specific device group, devices policies are tied to users policies, which creates complication when managing shared devices or role-based access, especially in local admin profile.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps me manage user access and device management, enforce security policies, monitor devices, and ensure compliance with security standards, significantly reducing manual work.

 ### 24. JumpCloud’s Single Pane of Glass Makes Identity & macOS Device Management Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elumalai G. | IT Service Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like best about JumpCloud is the centralized identity and device management. Its single pane of glass approach for identity, device, and access management. Managing macOS devices, enforcing security policies like FileVault, and controlling user access across systems from one platform makes day to day IT operations much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

JumpCloud is a solid platform overall, but it does come with a learning curve, and a few workflows could be more streamlined. Clearer UI cues, stronger reporting, and more thorough troubleshooting documentation would go a long way toward improving the day-to-day admin experience and making common tasks easier to manage.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud centralizes identity, device, and access management into a single platform. This helps us streamline onboarding/offboarding, enforce security policies consistently, and manage devices more efficiently, especially in a remote or hybrid environment.

 ### 25. MFA That Just Works—No Issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan L. | Senior Solutions Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

MFA that "just works"! No concern or issues with the software.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Sometimes it kicks me out mid-day, or the authentication fails and I have to close and reopen the app or the page I am trying to log into.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud has the most convenient mobile app with a wall of all the codes I need in one quick, easy to get to place.

 ### 26. JumpCloud handles Users & Devices; does its job

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ned S. | Executive Vice President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Prior to using JumpCloud our user account information was spread out everywhere, Active Directory for some items, Google Workspace for others and local user accounts on various machines and no one really knew who had access to what. Now we can view and administer all users and devices through a single dashboard and control user access levels without having to switch between multiple systems. This makes it much easier to remove access to an ex-employee by being able to lock them down everywhere simultaneously as opposed to hoping we were able to eliminate all possible avenues of access.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Typing this on my phone waiting for the bus that is late again, as usual. The interface gets cluttered and has too many menus and settings hidden in weird places, making it take a long time to find what you are trying to accomplish unless you have used it every day. Additionally, the mobile application is very limited, I tried to accomplish something on my phone once and gave up. Also, the search function does not work correctly, it will often fail to find what you are searching for even though you know it is there.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Directory Service piece is somewhat useful in that you can administer user accounts from one area (across multiple systems) as opposed to logging into 5-6 different admin consoles to add/remove users and I also like how it can connect to both Mac and PC machines, thus eliminating the need for individual tools for each OS, making the process of adding new users/users resetting passwords easier.

 ### 27. Streamlined Management with Some Reporting Limitations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud as my primary Mobile Device Management platform for managing Windows devices, and I really appreciate its single cloud-based console which unites Identity Management and Windows MDM. It eliminates the need for on-premise servers like AD and allows for smooth user provisioning by binding users to local Windows profiles without any hassle. The device hardening features are great for enforcing critical security configurations like Bitlocker encryption and customizing Windows updates swiftly. I also love that I can handle software and scripting tasks remotely and silently, ensuring user activity isn't disturbed while keeping devices secure. Additionally, JumpCloud has significantly reduced our onboarding time by around 50% and made management more efficient. The migration from AD was incredibly smooth, thanks to the Automated Migration Utility, which managed the transition without any disruption to local files or settings.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Basic Reporting: The native reporting tools feel restrictive for when detailed audits happen such as for ISO audits. We frequently have to export the events via API into external tools to get detailed data. Basic Software Deployment: Complex software installations are limited due size/storage caps. We still have the need for relying on Powershell scripts for intricate rollouts. Cluttered UI: The admin console for beginners can feel a bit over crowded and overwhelming. It makes it hard to find new features and deep configuration settings. Real time Monitoring: The app needs support for real time device performance and error reporting. Separate tools such as live alerts for RAM shortages and hardware failures along with their logs can be a very helpful tool in the long run.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud reduces onboarding time by 50%, eliminates on-premise server needs, and enables secure, efficient management of Windows devices. It streamlines IT tasks, ensuring devices are secure by default and policies are enforced across endpoints seamlessly.

 ### 28. Great ABM JumpCloud Sync, but Group Sync and Script Ordering Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like how you're able to configure and have a sync with JumpCloud & ABM so when new machines are purchased through ABM, they get synced & pushed through to JC to be easily provisioned with Automated Device Enrollment, which is another feature of JumpCloud. It's cloud based so companies wanting to ditch old toolings in favor of modern ones is nice

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

- Unable to sync groups from Google Workspace to JumpCloud after Directory Sync
- No ABM equivalent on the Windows side for device provisioning post purchases
- It's pooling based system for when scripts/commands that are set to launch on next registration. Would like a feature for sequential ordering for scripts somehow

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The accessibility for IT Admins that are knowledge with scripting to have preinstalled software on a machine. That can be entirely managed by Software Management

 ### 29. Seamless Mac & Windows Management with Flexible Time-Limited Admin Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler S. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The ease of having both Mac and Windows without much difference in settings. I also really like the ability to give someone admin just for a specific length of time.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Maybe some of the navigation. If I search for a user then go to their laptop and save a setting on there it is going to take me back to the user list instea d of leaving the device page open

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very easy onboarding with Jumpcloud and it's connections to our other services. Would like to get into more SSO applications.

 ### 30. Streamlined Access and Reliable Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor H. | SDR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I really like using JumpCloud for my day-to-day logins and keeping all my essential platforms in one place. It makes it easier to manage my systems and logins at the start of the day, allowing me to get started and get to the right places quicker. I also appreciate the safety of my passwords, which is massively beneficial for my role. The ease of access to my important apps, with just a single click, is another great feature. Additionally, the setup was really easy and straightforward, with no issues at all.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

nothing comes to mind

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for day-to-day logins and storing links, simplifying task management by centralizing systems and logins. It saves time and enhances access with single-click logins, ensuring password safety.

 ### 31. JumpCloud: Identity-First Control and Unified Device Management Made Simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarani A. | Associate IT Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like most about JumpCloud is that it gives strong control to IT teams without making things complicated. It feels designed for modern environments where users, devices, and access need to be managed from one place.

The identity-first approach is a big advantage. Instead of relying on networks or VPNs, JumpCloud focuses on users as the main security layer, which works very well for remote and hybrid teams.

Another thing I really appreciate is the ability to manage macOS, Windows, and Linux devices from a single console. Having one platform for all operating systems makes daily administration much easier.

JumpCloud also brings directory services, device management, access control, SSO, and MFA together in one system. This reduces the need for multiple tools and avoids integration issues.

Automation is another strong point. Running scripts, enforcing policies, and executing commands across devices saves a lot of manual effort and helps maintain consistency and compliance.

Being cloud-native is a major benefit. There is no need to maintain on-prem servers or domain controllers, which makes it ideal for cloud-first and distributed teams.

Overall, JumpCloud scales well as organizations grow and provides a clean, practical admin experience. It helps IT teams stay secure, organized, and efficient without the complexity of traditional directory systems.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I dislike about JumpCloud is that some advanced features can feel complex at first, especially for administrators who are new to identity-based management. There is a learning curve when setting up policies, permissions, and integrations correctly.

Troubleshooting can also be challenging at times. When something does not work as expected, the logs and error messages are not always very clear, which can make root cause analysis take longer.

Another drawback is limited depth in certain areas compared to specialized tools. For example, while JumpCloud handles device management well, it may not be as deep or mature as dedicated MDM solutions for very advanced use cases.

Some configurations still require scripting, which is powerful but can be time-consuming if you are managing many edge cases. Better built-in templates and clearer guidance would help reduce this effort.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MDM is good

 ### 32. Centralized Single-Pane Console with Useful Policies and Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suresh B. | Cybersecurity-Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Centralized management console that brings multiple solutions together in a single pane of glass, with predefined policies and useful features.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

At the moment, the current data centre isn’t available for the India location, and the implementation process can sometimes take longer than expected.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a single centralized management console, you can use multiple solutions such as IAM, device management, SaaS management, PAM, SSO, and MFA. This reduces the dependency on using multiple separate solutions and helps cut down on manpower, delivering a great ROI.

 ### 33. Remote Control and Device Insights Shine, Compliance Needs Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arpit K. | Business Applications Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like the device insights and remote control features of JumpCloud. The device insights are helpful for tracking device usage, ensuring compliance, and identifying when a device is not in use or out of order. Remote control is valuable for easy 1:1 debugging sessions, especially in IT support. The initial setup was fairly easy, especially with some support to guide us.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The compliance tracking isn't fully supported properly with Vanta, and even though a device is compliant and has relevant policies, the JumpCloud agent couldn't report it correctly to Vanta, which results in automated tests to fail. A better Windows JumpCloud agent would be great.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud for device compliance and tracking, providing insights to monitor usage and identify issues. Remote control aids easy 1:1 debugging for IT support.

 ### 34. Efficient Device Management, Password Reset Needs Tweak

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I appreciate the ease of managing devices and assigning group access with JumpCloud. It's a major time saver for managing multiple devices when I need to. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, which was great.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I don't like getting locked out of my account and that users have to be independent to reset their password. It would be better if it was mandatory for users to reboot after completing a password reset.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud to manage devices and group access. It eases managing devices and group access, saving me time when managing multiple devices.

 ### 35. Centralized Identity & Device Management That Simplifies Onboarding and Boosts Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miles H. | Solution Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

What I like most about JumpCloud is having a single, centralized platform for user identity, device management, and access control. It simplifies onboarding and offboarding, improves security through consistent policies and MFA, and reduces the need to manage multiple tools. The cross-platform support (Mac, Windows, Linux) and cloud-based directory are especially helpful for a modern, distributed team.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Some areas of JumpCloud can feel complex or unintuitive, particularly when configuring advanced policies or troubleshooting issues. Certain workflows require more steps than expected, and documentation or in-product guidance could be clearer in places. Reporting and visibility can also be limited without extra customization, which can make audits or investigations more time-consuming.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is solving the challenge of managing user identities, device access, and security across a distributed workforce. By centralizing authentication, device management, and access controls into one platform, it reduces operational overhead and minimizes security gaps. This has made onboarding and offboarding more efficient, improved visibility into users and devices, and helped enforce consistent security policies across the organization.

 ### 36. Flexible and Packed with Instruments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksey S. | Ops engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like the flexibility and the amount of instruments available.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The SaaS management part is the weakest at the moment: it doesn’t sync licenses where possible, it can’t recognize connected SSO apps, and there are only a few connectors.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Please ensure consistency across all applied policies and settings, and provide a secure login experience.

 ### 37. Effortless User Management, Needs Better Remote Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Opu Z. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud for managing users, resources, and access, and it makes it super easy to onboard and offboard users, manage their access, and manage computers. What I like most is that it's very easy to use, easy to configure, and customizable. Before JumpCloud, we had to manually manage each user, their access, and keep an inventory separately. Now, we can easily manage these tasks with much less effort. The initial setup was very easy thanks to JumpCloud's very good documentation.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

The remote management of computers can use some improvements. Sometimes remote wiping doesn't work, and we always have to manually verify it worked.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud makes it super easy to onboard/offboard users, manage access and computers, and reduces manual effort by integrating user management and inventory.

 ### 38. Effortlessly Manages Identity and Assets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateo R. | Platform Engineering Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I like JumpCloud for its marketplace of integrations and ease of use with intuitive processes. I integrate JumpCloud into almost all of the applications my company uses for daily operations, which makes management much easier and allows for more granular permissions. I haven't found anything that doesn't work well, so I've enjoyed it all. The initial setup was fairly easy too.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Nothing

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JumpCloud to manage users, devices, and permissions, audit activities, and prevent security breaches. Its integrations make managing applications easier with more granular permissions.

 ### 39. Effortless MDM and Remote Commands, Needs Better Active Directory Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud for device and user management, and I enjoy being able to export lists of users to devices. This feature is valuable because it helps me recognize who has what device and understand how many of a specific type of device are being used by my coworkers. Onboarding devices is easy, which makes the initial setup of JumpCloud fairly simple.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I had trouble setting up Active Directory with JumpCloud, potentially because we use Okta as well. I thought that JumpCloud would host an Active Directory, but it didn't seem to, and was instead for linking to an existing Active Directory.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud helps secure our devices, run updates remotely, and manage devices and users. Exporting user lists is valuable for tracking device use across coworkers.

 ### 40. Best app for policy control

To help you write an authentic and high-impact answer for "What do you like best?", I've categorized the top-rated features and benefits based on current user feedback from 2026.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Sometimes the user interface loaThe JumpCloud Agent can occasionally be finicky. I've run into 'red' status devices where the agent stops checking in for no apparent reason, requiring a manual reinstall to fix. Additionally, the Admin Console can feel a bit sluggish or 'click-heavy' when you're trying to manage large groups of users or granular policy overridesds slowly

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strong inventory control, smooth integration with Azure, and effective policy management.

 ### 41. Comprehensive MDM, Asset Management and SSO Solution with Amazing Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud as my one-stop solution for MDM, SSO, and asset management. I find the UI very simple to understand. As an admin, having access to 24/7 live support is great because whenever I have issues with any functionality or other issues, I always get help from the support team and links to their documentation. The initial setup was pretty smooth with the help of JumpCloud's implementation engineers.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I think the asset management can be improved to ensure that apps like Vanta report the asset owner field appropriately. I have had issues with this mismatch previously.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud is my go-to for MDM, SSO, and asset management. It helps me track asset and user lifecycle, manage access with user groups, and enforce security compliance policies effectively.

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

Their reliability, support and device management solution has saved us many hours in onboarding and support.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Our users not understanding the purpose for this additional product. Outside of IT it is hard for end users to understand the need to constantly update their password on this system. This is not JumpCloud's issue, but more on the every day user to understand the need.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-saved by device and software onboarding. Peace of mind by not worrying about everything separately. Also helps with security gaps and compliance scrambles keeping all devices updated.

 ### 44. Good experience with JC

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad H. | IT Infrastructure, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

The “best” thing about JumpCloud, in my view, is that it works as a unified, all-in-one IT management platform, bringing identity, access, and device management together in a single interface. This kind of consolidation can replace 6 to 8 separate IT tools, which helps lower total cost of ownership and makes day-to-day workflows simpler for IT teams.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Depth vs. breadth: JumpCloud covers a lot of ground (MDM, SSO, IAM, PAM), but it can fall short on the specialized depth you get from dedicated “best-of-breed” tools. For instance, its macOS management doesn’t feel as granular as more specialized options like Jamf, and its Windows management can sometimes miss some of the advanced configuration capabilities you’d find in Microsoft Intune.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End user device control

 ### 45. Effortless Device Management with JumpCloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terry J. | Senior Technology Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud to manage all of our devices across the organization, including the iPads and equipment for our retail stores. It lets us see everything about our employees' devices at any given moment, including the software they're running, which is really helpful. JumpCloud helps us issue and return equipment efficiently and troubleshoot as needed. I find using JumpCloud with the Mac and Apple ecosystem incredibly valuable since a majority of our equipment is Apple. We can send iPads to retail stores with the equipment already installed, making onboarding way easier. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward with no pain points.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Nothing, it works great.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud lets us manage all our devices, track employee devices, issue equipment with pre-installed software, and streamline onboarding.

 ### 46. A GREAT perhaps BETTER alternative to ADDC

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about JumpCloud?**

I use JumpCloud to manage users, devices, SSO, and Radius, and a lot of its features. The SSO has solved a lot of headaches by making remembering multiple passwords obsolete; I only need to remember one. The JumpCloud password manager has been incredible. Managing device updates and functions is much easier with the ability to push out commands remotely, which is practically effortless. The Command Line/Powershell features have helped us out of rough situations. Being able to control what features are enabled via policies is awesome and something we use a lot. Policy management, the JumpCloud password manager, and the ability to push out commands and scripts are features I like most. The support is top tier and always helpful.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

Honestly I don't have any issues with JumpCloud. Only one I would say is allow us to create folders in the "Commands" page to better organize things.

**What problems is JumpCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JumpCloud simplifies our password management with SSO, streamlining devices and user management. Remote command execution is easy, resolving issues efficiently. Features like policy control and the password manager enhance our workflow, making remembering passwords obsolete and avoiding the need for an ADDC.

I also love how well it can be used to manage devices/inventory. Customer support has always been great and quick to respond when I have any questions. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for an identity provider.

**What do you dislike about JumpCloud?**

I really haven't found anything I dislike!
