I use JumpCloud for its flexibility in the command execution engine, which allows me to push custom PowerShell scripts for deep system tweaks and zero touch provisioning for macOS. The only thing I dislike about JumpCloud is that it doesn’t include an app-lock feature. Since this is a security-related function, I think it should offer an app-lock filter where we can choose which apps get locked, set the times they should be locked, and have full control over our computer’s security—even if we leave the laptop on. The thing I find most difficult is that it can take some time to get your head around JumpCloud when you first start using it. There are a fair number of settings and configuration options, so it may take a little time for new admins to get comfortable with the platform. Other workflows also make you go through multiple settings before getting the desired result. Some of the terminology and configuration details can be a little scary from a non technical perspective. More streamlined reporting and easier customization for some admin dashboards would also be nice to see. There isn't anything majorly wrong, but the platform could be made easier for teams with limited IT resources by improving the onboarding experience and simplifying some of the advanced configurations. The features I like as an Admin of Jump Cloud is MDM (especially policies management) as it helps me in managing all the device types. Additionally, it's SaaS and Asset Management are cherry on the cake. Asset Management is also the best part. The way it allows to push softwares to all the devices.
