"Device Management & Security"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I love JumpCloud. The benefits of using JumpCloud are that we can closely monitor all devices, including knowing when they are online or offline, and check their status, like shutdowns, restarts, and battery health. The security features are really appreciated, especially in case a device gets stolen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Some devices get unbound without us knowing until an issue occurs, like being unable to log in or perform a remote reset. The new updates of UI are kind of messy compared to what we were used to before when logging into JumpCloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Consolidated our stack and simplified compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like most is having everything in one place. Device management, security policies, SSO, and the password manager all live on the same platform, so I’m not forced to stitch together three or four separate tools or pay for them individually. Onboarding and offboarding, in particular, became much simpler once identity and device control were side by side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The UI/UX could be a bit more intuitive. At times, it can feel confusing to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Identity and Device Management Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like best about JumpCloud is its ability to centralize user identity, access, and device management in a single platform. It simplifies onboarding and offboarding, allows us to enforce security policies consistently, and provides strong MFA and access controls without requiring extensive on-premises infrastructure. The intuitive interface, cloud-based management, and broad application integrations have helped streamline IT operations, improve security, and reduce the time spent on routine administrative tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

While JumpCloud is a powerful platform, some of the more advanced configurations and policy settings can be complex to navigate, especially for new administrators. Certain integrations require additional setup and testing, and troubleshooting can occasionally be time-consuming when managing a large number of users or devices. The reporting features are helpful, but there is room for more customization and deeper insights in some areas. Overall, these are relatively minor concerns compared to the value the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight, Fast Windows Policy Management—But macOS & MDM Need Maturity"
3.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Local user management is straightforward, and deployment and removal are both quick. The agent is lightweight and doesn’t use many system resources. Applying Windows policies is also fast and easy, which makes day-to-day administration smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The UI feels clunky. Selecting and binding devices, groups, and users is awkward in the interface, and management for macOS hasn’t been reliable for me. The MDM also doesn’t seem mature enough yet: it doesn’t include policies to enforce custom company compliance, so it ends up relying heavily on commands to attest compliance.

It’s also not easy to create custom roles for specific users who need to handle user and workstation onboarding.

Finally, I’d like to see more audit logs showing what’s performed in the console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Insightful Platform with smooth and excellent over all experience"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

There are many things to appreciate about Jumpcloud. Its ease of integration stands out, along with features like comprehensive insights into users’ systems, and the administration portal is very intuitive. Customer Support is also very responsive to my queries. Most processes feel seamless as well, which makes the overall experience smooth. On top of that, they’ll invite you to a webinar when there are upcoming features they want to highlight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I believe that during update rollouts there may be occasional lags, though they’re hardly noticeable. I’m confident the team is continuing to work on improving this aspect. In the past, it was quite hard to generate reports, but over the last few months they’ve released updates that have made reporting much easier, understandable with the ease of use templates. That said, I still think the reporting experience are still improvement, looking forward for coming new ideas and approach of reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifying Secure Access and ISO Compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

What I like most about JumpCloud is how easy it is to use while still covering a wide range of IT needs. The platform is reliable, integrates well with other tools, offers good value by consolidating multiple functions, and the onboarding and support experience has been solid. Its automation and intelligent insights also help reduce manual work and make day-to-day management more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Some parts of JumpCloud can feel complex to configure, especially for advanced policies and integrations. Pricing can also increase quickly as more features are added, and the reporting and automation capabilities could be more flexible and easier to customize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized IT Management with Seamless SSO"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I find JumpCloud very easy to configure and appreciate the abundance of available documentation. It offers a great set of features that add more security to the devices in our organization. The integration with other SSO applications, like Paylocity, works greatly, providing a seamless login experience and drastically reducing password-related helpdesk tickets. I also value the fact that it serves as the central source of truth for our IT infrastructure, saving time for our IT team and providing a smoother experience for our employees. We had a great experience with the professional services, receiving guidance on best practices with dedicated support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

We decided not to use JumpCloud Go as of right now because our team perceives the lack of user interaction as a potential vulnerability. Our current security posture heavily favors explicit user verification, like active MFA prompts, which JumpCloud Go does not emphasize enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless User Management, Continual Feature Updates"
4.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like that JumpCloud allows us to manage multiple operating systems from a unique control panel, helping us maintain our software and security standards across the company. I appreciate that they are constantly releasing new features based on customer needs, which ends up being really helpful. I particularly value the group management features for both devices and users. The initial setup was really easy because it is super friendly, and the documentation is really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Sometimes the UI fails when doing a search, like when I start typing and it does not show anything, then I erase a letter and suddenly it shows results. It gets fixed by refreshing the page. Also, they should figure out a way to trigger software updates from the user perspective on mandatory apps, because right now that's only available for self-service apps through a great app catalog for end users. "Great for Lean Directory Management, but Support, Reporting, and Scaling Costs Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

For a small business that doesn't have the budget or the headcount to justify a full Active Directory setup or a heavyweight enterprise IAM stack, JumpCloud fills a real gap. The cloud-based directory just makes sense at our scale, there's no on-prem infrastructure to maintain, no domain controller to babysit, and new hires can be onboarded and given the right access within minutes of their account being created.

User management is genuinely clean and intuitive once you're past the initial setup. Creating users, assigning them to groups, and controlling what they can access is straightforward enough that it doesn't require a dedicated IT person sitting on top of it full time, which for a lean startup team is exactly what you need. The fact that it works across Mac, Windows, and Linux without treating any OS as a second-class citizen is something I didn't fully appreciate until I'd used competing tools that clearly favoured one ecosystem over the others.

The free tier for up to ten users is also worth calling out honestly, for very early stage teams it's a legitimately useful entry point, not just a crippled demo. We stayed on it longer than expected and it held up fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Here's where the mixed experience comes in. The further you push JumpCloud beyond basic directory management, the more you start to feel the rough edges.

The admin console has improved over time but still has moments that feel inconsistent — certain settings are buried in places that don't feel intuitive, and some workflows require more clicks than they should for tasks you're doing repeatedly. It's not a dealbreaker but it adds up over time.

Support quality is the most common frustration I've genuinely run into. Response times can be slow, and when issues are nuanced — like a sync problem between JumpCloud and a specific application, or a user state that just won't behave correctly — the back-and-forth to resolution takes longer than feels acceptable. Phone support is gated behind higher tier plans, which stings when something is actively broken.

Reporting is thin. For a directory platform, the built-in audit logs and compliance reporting tools feel underdeveloped — you get the basics, but anything more detailed requires exporting and making sense of it yourself. For a startup that's moving toward its first security audit this becomes noticeable fast.

Pricing scaling is also worth flagging. The jump from free to paid feels manageable at first, but as your headcount grows the per-user cost stacks up quickly, and at some point you start wondering whether the feature set justifies what you're paying versus alternatives like Azure AD or Okta. "Centralized Management with Room for UI Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I use JumpCloud primarily for centralized user and device management, which solves several day-to-day IT management challenges. I really appreciate the device management and access control feature, as combining these into a single platform makes it much easier for me to manage users and devices without switching between multiple tools. The centralized administration simplifies the onboarding and offboarding process significantly, allowing us to provision or revoke access quickly without having to manually configure every device or application. The ease of deploying the initial setup of JumpCloud is another positive aspect for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

One area that could be improved is the overall user interface and ease of navigating some of the administrative settings. As the environment grows, I find it challenging to locate specific device policies. While the user interface is generally good, it could be made more intuitive for administrators managing a larger number of users and devices. A more streamlined navigation structure with commonly used actions and settings easier to access would be helpful. I would also benefit from a more customizable dashboard displaying device compliance, inactive devices, user status, pending actions, and synchronization issues all in one place.
