  ### 1. Cataloging software that does what it is supposed to

**What do you like best about ResourceMate?**

The ease of use and navigability of the software is superb.

**What do you dislike about ResourceMate?**

There are times that it really is slow, this could be the computer itself though and I don't fault the program.

**Recommendations to others considering ResourceMate:**

RM is the perfect cataloging software for a small library. Would be good with school and church libraries as well.

**What problems is ResourceMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ResourceMate is used in our rural library.
It is a great benefit to keep track of our inventory and our patrons.

**What do you like best about ResourceMate?**

Resource Mate gets the job done and it's nice to have the ability to add a number of tags and user-defined categories.  We have been able to divide out the collection well enough to make searching easier for staff and patrons.

**What do you dislike about ResourceMate?**



Resource Mate is pretty cumbersome.  The product has been running slowly, even on a new computer, and it tends to lock up more often than not.  To complete most tasks there are an inordinate amount of clicks needed to get to the final step (press yes, press okay, press submit... that type of thing) which are unnecessary and largely cause delays if forgotten.   Training volunteers to work with RM has been difficult at best and it's certainly not user-friendly to anyone who is unfamiliar with and ILS (aka: most of our volunteers are not library students).


**Recommendations to others considering ResourceMate:**

If you specifically need an ILS, Resourcemate is acceptable.  However, if you have 20k books or less, there are other options that may serve you better. 

**What problems is ResourceMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a non-profit library, Resource Mate has helped us with keeping track of our collection and our patrons over the past seven years.  One of the main problems Resource Mate helped us solve was being able to sort our books by a user-input color code that matched with the spine labels on the books.
