## Immuta Reviews
 ### 1. Excellent Data securities & Permissions to add or remove user access effectively!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** venkatarama sharma C. | Front End -Information system Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

The column detection feature is a pretty cool functionality that I came across and was the best functionality I have been looking for for so long.
This functionality helped me to create New Data sources, which are value-added!!

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Under the data dictionary, some default tags are being applied as automatically. The rest of other functionalities are fine. Expecting UI can be improved in the upcoming days. Every time we need to enter the warehouse, DB and server details while creating Data sources often, this can be autosaved, which can reduce manual interventions

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Built-in feature column detection dramatically helps a lot!!
After creating a single policy, governance is automatically applied to thousands of columns with sensitive data. This can be archive by auto tag enable option disabling function.

 ### 2. Immuta Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Immuta has a user friendly inerface and intuitive menus. Immuta easily integrates with our Snowflake instance and is ver useful for managing user access to data sets.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

The tool is working well I think that expanding the number/types of integration technologies would improve the product. More frequent customer commuinication on new features or articles highlighting current functionality would be useful

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Immuta to grant LMI employees access to sensitive company data for special projects. Immuta allows us to control the data an to ensure that only those authorized employees can view the data.

 ### 3. Enhancing our Cloud Data Security with Immuta

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

User-friendly UI, ease of integrating to Databricks and pushing policy, ease of creating policies to restrict all data in a centralized location

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Databricks implementation was not as smooth as something like Snowflake. Must use Kubernetes as the platform environment or else there's sizeable performance issues.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immuta allows us to implement a robust data access framework in an easy-to-use way. We can manage all data securely and at scale.

 ### 4. Immuta works for ABAC

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Callum M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Easy to manage ABAC. Policy as code is crusial to our implementation.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

The config and set up of the helm chart does have some tricky bits and gaps. There are some things that have to be done via the UI which is a shame. The requirement for SCIM is also something we have to work around.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ABAC in a large enterprise with the strictest of compliance regimes.

 ### 5. Extraction & Data Governance Framework of Immuta is excellent for our AWS & Databricks procurements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikitha S. | Cloud Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Immuta is a cloud data access control platform that is adaptive & scalable based on the dynamic nature of our data sources. It provisions all source-target integration seamlessly so that we can facilitate data transition from our on-premise to cloud infrastructure. Since it is an automated platform hosted in the cloud, we save a lot of time as it doesn't require any job parsing or agent installations. Essential datasets are registered accurately in its catalog and we can also enable custom preferences while performing data analysis.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

It enforces policies for our data governance through the creation of virtual references to the data instead of replicating the data. This is impressive as our customers would want to be compliant with data regulatory standards such as GDPR, CCPA & HIPAA while handing their critical data. Overall, the services offered by Immuta are satisfactory for our data source integrations & security governance.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize Immuta to structure our complex data policies through its easy-to-build rules for our AWS, Databricks and other data sources. It supports masking & row restriction features which can be created with ease using its DSL Builder. We keep track of our data source performance & usage through custom metrics offered by Immuta. We define our datasets which are populated in its catalog and are replicated only under on-demand requests. We can also make use of its auto lineage and quick cataloging features which are based on the provided Metadata.

 ### 6. A great tool for managing access to your data warehouse and building a data catalog

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor C. | VP Data & Salesforce, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Being able to configure access to tables in a very granular manner. User management via groups is easy and intuitive. Auto-detection of sensitive data saves a lot of time for our data stewards.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Whenever I have to add a new table from a data warehouse, which is already known to Immuta, I have to type the connection details again and again (host, username, etc.)

**Recommendations to others considering Immuta:**

Go for SaaS version, not the hosted one. You will reduce your AWS bills and save the headache of hosting and upgrades.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Out business requires controlling access permissions for the internal stakeholders to specific tables, columns, and rows. On top of that, internal stakeholders should be able to find the relevant tables by themselves.

The core thing I like about is that it's abilty to streamline the data access flows and approvals in a matter of time.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

They can focus on pricing part and can be based on the geographical locations.

**Recommendations to others considering Immuta:**

It is a wonderful platform for users who are dealing data with cloud. But has to compromise with cost but considering the features it has a good worthy of features.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously it was a tedious task to maintain data and provide adequate controls but with immuta it has become a one stop solution as it offers all features.

 ### 9. A data governance tool to access data warehouse with excellence in data bricks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salil B. | Staff Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

The most helpful thing about Immuta is it's intuitive UI.it doesn't require much of a manual effort as it is automated. It provides access to warehouse tables in most granular form.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

It's little complex when we implement the differential privacy feature. Rest everything is awesome and very quick to use.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribute based rules are helping to introduce governance policies very effectively. Sensitive data is easy to share with business users.Quick cataloguing feature is super awesome.

 ### 10. User Account Control for SaaS, simplified!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhisar G. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2022

I like how Immuta can easily create and remove user access to SaaS seamlessly, just take the click of a button.

There is nothing I have encountered to dislike Immuta. It is simple, intuitive and solves a really pressing issue with cloud security.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 11. Improve data access control & governance in a flash

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Ease of use and intuitive user interface

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Sensitive data discovery is only possible after ingesting a data source (table). A discover and report option would be great.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Governance is applied to thousands of columns with sensitive data automatically after the creation of a single policy.

 ### 12. Simple to use, excellent product across the board. Perfect addition to our modern data stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh W. | Senior Vice President of Services and Technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Immuta?**

Immuta vastly speeds up the time it takes to get a policy applied – it’s no longer a manual process. And it’s so easy to update when someone’s role changes or a new data source comes along.

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Immuta’s differential privacy feature is a bit complicated to implement compared to other features. Everything else is a few clicks and works seamlessly but there are a few features that you have to really be a privacy expert to utilize.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried the build-it-yourself approach using manual tooling to protect sensitive data but it delayed access to the data significantly which impacted our time to value for customers. Our data - most of which is quite sensitive – is now available to all types of business analysts, data scientists and data engineers.

 ### 13. Good Experience

**What do you dislike about Immuta?**

Nothing as such, overall good experience, need to add some more features in upcoming releases.

**What problems is Immuta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Did not go deep enough to know any issues, so far good.
