Recommendations to others considering Imagine Learning Classroom (formerly LearnZillion):
I think that they should definitely consider it, as it has a lot of perks that can benefit any organization. Students can use the resources in school, and I can use them to plan at home. The resources are great, and they would be beneficial to any students or teachers that are considering switching over to it. I think that as long as they are aware of the possible issues with glitches and bugs, and can go into it with an open mind, I think that they will be very pleased with the results. I think that there are a lot of benefits to LearnZillion over other platforms, so I think that anyone considering it will be very pleased with the results. However, I think that they can use their data to inform instruction and use LearnZillion to work with their small groups as well as whole-class. I would recommend talking to other teachers that have currently used the program, and see what they like and dislike about it. I think that they can use this information to inform their decision, and go about purchasing it with full awareness and an open mind to both the pros and the cons. I think they also need to know what works for their students and that will inform their decision as to whether or not this is something that could logistically work for their specific class. I think that anyone considering this program should also consult their technology department to ensure that they will meet all requirements for this to work effectively in their district before purchasing it, to ensure there are as few glitches as possible. However, I think that everyone should consider using LearnZillion as it has a lot of great features and it helps organize and keep classroom management in check as well. What problems is Imagine Learning Classroom (formerly LearnZillion) solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using LearnZillion in class to work on my ELA lessons, and show students texts and videos. The benefits are that students can access all of these resources in the classroom. This means that we are able to access books, read aloud materials, hands on materials, videos, etc. that we have not previously been able to access with other programs that we have used.
