" A reliable end to end enterprise DMS and BPM system"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

I have used this software for past 10 years and implemented this solution to multiple clients who have stored documents from multiple business units like HR, Accounts payable, IT, Contracts, etc. I have designed applications to allow access to documents only to certain groups. I have designed multiple workflow applications for HR help desk. document approval process. FileNet provides both document management and business process management functionalities. FileNet provides robust out of the box tools for end users (IBM Content Navigator) and for admins(ACCE) to store and classify documents. It has a great set of connectors for data migration to and from Kofax, XML import/export, Emails, Sharepoint, scanners, file systems, etc. Perfectly works with Oracle, DB2, SQL, MSSQL databases, IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss application servers, allows to configure data model and user permissions as detailed as you may need. It provides tools to design workflow with integration with core applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

Collaborating documents with external users force you to send the document via email or requires the external users to have FileNet license. Other ECM products solve this problem easily like Box.com. Cloud deployment is not well practiced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best ECM product in the Market"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

FileNet Content manager and Content Navigator... the best and most reliable ECM products. The content navigator is easy to use/implement/integrate/customize product. Both products are easy to implement and integrate with other business processes. We also use Content Manager onDemand and Content collector as welll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

We use Content collector for bulk uploading. It's good; but very limited in terms of features and functionality. We had write lot of custom scripts for simple things. Would like to see it getting more evolved. We also use Daeja viewer Virtual which is replacing Pro viewer. It's definitely helping us to remove JRE dependency but does not have all features which Pro has For example, providing detail image information etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"FileNet Content Manager - Best of the best"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

Consistant is the main word I would use to describe FileNet. It just works. The amount of content that is ingested for my business is quite massive and to have Content Manager ingesting and classifying and storing that content never fails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

The only part of Content Manager that is incredibly difficult is its licencing. It is impossible to understand and once you do they change the model again. That is why you need a business partner to help navigate through the nonsence. Additionally the interaction with other applications especially those from Microsoft and that reside in the cloud isnt the best, however, its on the horizon. "IBM Content Management Review"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

The ease of setup for getting started with IBM's Enterprise Content Management software was impressive. The options for pulling the enterprise solution in pieces into our existing enterprise infrastructure made evaluation much more feasible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

The settings within IBM's Enterprise Content Management software are vast and it takes a lot of digging in the documentation to figure out even some simple changes. When you start pulling multiple components into your system you really have to start developing processes for your situation to keep the workflow organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Since the dawn of #ECM time"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

Platform's scalability. Everything is now an 'I' in front of it - 'I'BM Content Foundation, 'I'BM Case Foundation, 'I'BM Content Navigator, 'I'BM Enterprise Records, but the core engines, platforms dating all the way back to the early 2000s are still there, play well with each other and provide a composite platform for all things content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

It would be nice to go back and deprecate some of the more ancient stuff and clean it up while you're there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

Its has really good features but needs to add more features that make Enterprise day to life simple Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Moving towards right direction"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

Me and my team likes the direction goes to. It really looks that IBM lsiten to customers feedback, for example starting to support React instead of only DoJo framework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

There are still some technologies that are still not yet supported, and WebSphere is somethign that is really heavy weight to use on local computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock Solid Content Management"
What do you like best about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

FileNet Content Manager provides the services that the business needs, and stability that I need as an Operations Manager. Our organization has dozens of applications with thousands of users that connect to FileNet for content. It is critical that these applications have high availability and FileNet helps us deliver that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM FileNet Content Manager?

The stack of software in IBM's content management suite is very large, and the names keep changing. It can be difficult to keep everything straight unless you have years of experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
