You can directly design your product model in 3D and get 2D production drawings here. Or you can draw 2-dimensional initially, then add 3-dimensional objects and automatically transform your drawing into a 3D model. Nonparametric for quick fixes use the parametric approach to model or make design changes at the push of a button. **What do you dislike about HiCAD?** Although I have used this application for a short time, I cannot say that I have seen any disadvantages or shortcomings. It is an easy and fast application for me to learn. However, it might be better if new updates are available and functions are added. But it would not be fair to see this as a disadvantage. **Recommendations to others considering HiCAD:** As the only CAD system that can provide true 2D / 3D combination with Hybrid Technology, HiCAD sets standards in professional 2D and 3D CAD in all industries. Which is great if you have to deal with both of it. The steel sheet part is good integrated as well. They are strong in the profile handling, which we are not yet using properly. **What do you dislike about HiCAD?** It is not one of the big players where you can expect flawlessnes in the first place. Also there is no FEM integrated yet for example. **Recommendations to others considering HiCAD:** If you need a middleclass good established powerfull 2D/3D CAD with PDM etc. at a affordable price, ISD and HiCAD is a good choice. **What problems is HiCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a manufacturer of architecture parts.
