## Guidebook Reviews
  ### 1. Streamlined, Intuitive and Reliable - A Must Have for Events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brayonna F. | Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy drag-and-drop builder for creating customized event apps with easy implementation. Real-time updates for schedules, maps, and speakers as needed. Engaging push notifications, live polling, Q&A, and surveys. Robust analytics for post-event performance tracking. The list goes on!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Limited design flexibility compared to fully bespoke, customizable apps. Learning curve for advanced features that could take time to fully understand and integrate. Price barriers for smaller events, groups, and non-profits.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On-site attendee engagement

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> It's great to hear that Guidebook is helping to enhance on-site attendee engagement at your events. We strive to provide a valuable solution for event organizers, and we're glad to hear that our platform is benefiting you in this way.

  ### 2. Guidebook was the right app for us!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlyn S. | Global Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook was very user-friendly for building all the necessary components for our event mobile app! Whenever I had a question, the customer service team was very quick to respond with solutions.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

We had a few issues when building out the QR code scavenger hunt game that required a lot of troubleshooting over multiple days, however, the customer support team was great to work with and resolved the errors that allowed the game to work efficiently.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allowed us to advance our event by taking the program to the next level, eliminating any paper products, and moving everything to the mobile app. We had over 50% of the attendees utilize the mobile app for the 1st year, which we were very excited about! This allowed us to save hundreds of dollars in printing and shipping conference materials to the hotel.

  ### 3. Using Guidebook for Michigan Tech's Orientation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David R. | Orientation Executive Staff - Communication Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I loved that Guidebook had an easy content creation system and allowed the usage of custom logos, documents, and other pieces that would be seen by the end user. I also liked the ability to be able to mass import and manage items through the Guidebook API with little trouble.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Guidebook does not offer as much technical customization as desired, and requires the usage of hidden techniques / quirks in the application to be able to complete a task. While the HTML formatting is nice in the Guidebook Builder, some elements that are supported do not show up visually in the editor, making it more difficult to display data in fanicer HTML ways that increases engagement with the users.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allowed us to communicate to all of the new students of the Class of 2028 and give out details that would otherwise rely on a large subset of the university's staff or mass communication methods that would be intrusive and too much for small announcements.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're glad to hear that you found Guidebook's content creation system and API management easy to use. We strive to provide a user-friendly platform for our customers.

  ### 4. User-Friendly, Generally Dependable App for Conferences & Large Events

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan R. | Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

If you need an app for your event, Guidebook provides a user-friendly interface to build one that is information-rich and relatively reliable. We have used Guidebook to replace our printed conference program and it has gotten plenty of positive feedback from our 1400+ attendees. Their account management and customer support people are always very pleasant and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

We have occasionally seen inexplicable performance differences between Apple and Android devices. Links within our conference program loaded just fine on Apple devices, but Android users received a 505 Error message. There was not an easy way to troubleshoot this once the conference was underway, so we had to direct those users to alternative online versions of our conference program to get the information they needed.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has eliminated the cost of print programs for our major events entirely. It has given us a stable platform to promote interaction, communication, and media-sharing among our event participants.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Guidebook. We're pleased to hear that it has helped you eliminate the cost of print programs and promote interaction among event participants. We apologize for the issues experienced with links on Android devices and will work to address this to ensure a seamless experience for all users.

  ### 5. Easy to use and update - many features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Ease of use - this is so simple to use, everything shows as you would expect. Implementation was simple and easy to update. Needed to contact their support a few times and we got a response fairly quickly.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Cost has gone up for us as with everything as of late, but the features we need/use are with the lower option.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Guidebook for our yearly conference. It allows us to provide details on sessions such as times and locations, as well as bios, schedule updates, questions/polls throughout the week.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Guidebook easy to use and update, and that our support team has been helpful for you. We understand that cost can be a concern, and we appreciate your feedback on that. We're happy to hear that Guidebook is helping you provide details for your yearly conference and making it easier for you to manage sessions and updates.

  ### 6. Guidebook for New Employee Orientation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle B. | Admin Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It creates a central repository for necessary information for our new hires

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Interface feels a little dated, I would like more polish with the overall look and feel.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It acts as a central repository for information, whereas before it was spread out and difficult to find. Utilizing Guidebook makes it easy for our new hires to find the vital information they need.

  ### 7. Guidebook Is Terrific

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen W. | Pensacon Short Film Festival Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We have used Guidebook for several years as our annual event app with thousands of users each year. The Guidebook team has been great to work with, keeping us on track and helping with areas that we may have trouble navigating. They assisted with the initial setup, and after that we've been able to use the skeleton of the app and adjust according to our needs from one year to the next. Users of the app seem to love it, as it offers some great features including lists of guests, schedule of events, maps, graphics, links to websites, means to communicate with other users, and even weather reports.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Due to the structure of the app, we have to do certain workarounds for our specific needs instead of having the flexibility to build it to our own specs, but that's expected with any product such as this instead of designing the app from the ground up.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an annual event that needs an app that is a one-stop place for all information regarding the event. While we have a website for our attendees to reference throughout the year, during the event itself, people need a quick and easy way of finding our celebrity guests, the schedule of events, and locations of where everything is happening.

  ### 8. Great Way to Stay Connected

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashely H. | Family Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

All the information about the event was easy to find in one space! It was a very user friendly experience and staff was able to push out updates quickly and easily to guest of our conference.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

It did take some time getting such a large group setup in the system

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to have information updated in real time and accessible on the go. We are able to ensure everyone is getting the exact same information at the same time and direct them on where and who to go to for more support

  ### 9. NCSC Guidebook Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easy to let my participants know what's going on in a very timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I guess the initial setup can be time consuming, but I don't do that part any more.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting timely updates out to the participants. Love that we can put campus maps, agendas, WiFi, etc on the app for people to look at.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with using Guidebook to provide updates and important information to your participants.

  ### 10. Work Related Conference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The time it takes to upload data. if it is accurate, it takes no time. I also like the error messages letting you know if there are any and where to find it, extremely helpful!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Creating Groups. It is a one-by-one effort and is very time consuming. Alos, an attendee cannot be part of different groups. This should be something looked at as I find the "create groups" option a time consuming out of date experience.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the application used for conference session scheduling for attendees.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're glad to hear that you find the data upload process quick and accurate, and that the error messages are helpful. We appreciate your feedback about the group creation process and the limitations on attendee group participation. We will definitely take your comments into consideration for future updates.

  ### 11. Guidebook changed our conference!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay L. | Director of Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I most appreciate having a dedicated builder. At the start, they were integral in helping us build the best product for our festivals. And they did a great job training us how to navigate the builder ourselves and I feel very competent in using Guidebook now.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There really aren't any downsides to using Guidebook. Yes, it is expensive, but at the same time our account manager is wonderful and worked with us to make sure the costs are appropriate.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It clarifies exactly where our festival attendees need to be at any given time. It's the quickest way to provide them informationi n real time and keep them up to date on what exactly is happening and when.

  ### 12. Very helpful for planning our event!

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Taking attendance to see what events our students are going to during Orientation.

  ### 13. Easy to Use and Quick to Launch

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We love how Guidebook is very easy to learn and setup. It has a nice clean and esthetically pleasing interface. The process for getting an app launched is also very quick if you utilize the Guidebook container.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The pricing structure changed in 2024 and become unaffordable to many of the organizations I work with.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to be a quick and inexpensive way for organizations to create a mobile app to save on printing costs for sharing schedules and handouts.

  ### 14. Fantastic Event Tool with Great Networking and Gaming Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristie H. | Event and Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I recently used the Guidebook app for an event, and it was fantastic! The app is incredibly easy to navigate, making it simple for everyone to navigate, making it simple for everyone to access schedules and important information. The networking and gaming features were a big hit with participants, adding a fun and interactive element ot he experience. Highly recommend Guidebook for any event planning needs!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The cost and plans are not ideal, would love to see a plan that includes several events for one price. I bought a two year plan under the impression we could use it for several events.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the ground communication, networking

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic experience with Guidebook at your event! Our team is dedicated to providing easy navigation and engaging features for all participants. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

Guidebook provides an interactive schedule, countless customizable options, interactive options to encourage user engagement. Their support team is quick to respond and always very helpful. The app is very easy to use as well.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The app and function is great, but it woudl be great if there was a way to share information from the app and our CRM, Slate to track event day participation.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an issue with our Apple Developer account and were not able to use our branded app as planned, but Guidebook was great working with us to still be able to use our spaces as planned.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I can't think of much to dislike about the platform.

The guides can be layout in a couple of ways, which is super convenient.
We have gotten quick responses from the customer service side

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

When you make changes on the calendar, it takes at least 2 hours for changes to occur. That is very limiting when you are running program and there are sudden changes.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of use for the app is something that is very convenient for our users

  ### 19. Guidebook user friendly mobile app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

  ### 20. Very Accessible, user-friendly and convenient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The fact that as a user, you can custom it to suit your needs. its flexible, convenient user friendly and provides a very accesible interface in different languages

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The fact that it cannot be integrated with some software eg we want to use it for voting and could not so we needed to add our voting software but it was not compatible

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping us to share information in an accesible way, also allows our members he space to interact with each other during events and those who cannot atted can also do so online as if they were present. No one is left behind. Our community feels more connected and engaged. We are also saving the environment we no longer habe to print loads of documents for in person events we just upload in the app

  ### 21. Helpful for Events

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Being able to push updates, upload session materials, identify ways to get the speakers and attendees to engage together during and outside of session.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There is always a learning curve and upside and downside of another event tool with the others used for registration (Membersuite), Questions (Menti), and social media, web, etc.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timely updates to have the most current event information

  ### 22. Connecting to a whole new audience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth E. | Festival & Special Events Coordinator, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I enjoy the user interface of Guidebook. Particularly how quickly changes can be made leading up to and including the days of your event. The ability to add or upload your own icons to tailor the app to your org's needs are also a plus. Now that I'm familiar, the uploading of spreadsheets to include bulk information is definitely helpful. The system does get a bit tempermental if you don't follow the intention of how it needs to be uploaded, but again, very helpful for the end product.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The files that you attempt to import are very particular. You can't import using any of the later versions of Excel. I believe that's my only gripe.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have discussed having some issues with metrics and how to build more of an audience. I believe that in the age of smartphones, most people prefer an app that is easy to follow and can access exactly what they need. I have been provided with some links on how to engage and further tailor our wants/needs from the app, so our team will test them out for the next Festival.

  ### 23. Wonderful until the Price Change

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It is the best way to organize information for event attendees. We like that it provides them with easy access to links and agendas.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The price point went up astronomically last year and we can no longer afford it.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s gives us a platform to organize events like our Leadership program and Inter-Ity Visit.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear that Guidebook has been a valuable tool for organizing your events and providing attendees with easy access to important information.

We understand that pricing changes can be difficult, and we truly appreciate your past support. The shift away from our pay-per-download model was not an easy decision, but it was necessary to ensure we could continue offering the best possible platform and support to all of our customers. While we no longer offer that specific pricing model, we’ve worked hard to keep our new plans competitive and provide strong value compared to alternatives in the market.

If you'd like, our team would be happy to discuss your needs and explore options that might work within your budget. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to continue supporting your events!

  ### 24. Easy to Use

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It was very easy to add new features and designs. It was quick to push out features to the front end.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I would like more features developed for the app.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allows our conference attendees to easily access information and materials on their phone to reduce the amount of questions for our staff.

  ### 25. Easy to Use and Update

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It is pretty easy to use, once we set it up once it ha been really easy to reuse information from year to year and just make updates as needed.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There are so many features it takes a bit to figure out which ones to use and how best to use them but once you get that all figured it out it is easy to use.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to print paper schedules and besides being expensive and a waste of paper as soon as it was printed something would change and it would be outdated. Using an app allows us to make updates as we need even the during the event and keep our users up to date easily.

  ### 26. Guidebook is easy to develop and easy to navigate as a user, fantastic UX.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kylie O. | Training Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The UX makes it easy for people who are not software engineers to build, and those who are not tech-friendly to use. Also, the customer support is very quick and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The main downside is that the build is not as customizable as I would like. Sometimes I have to get creative to implement an idea.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook allows us to use technology instead or paper-based solutions. Attendees can view the perks of our organization and event features all within the app.

  ### 27. Happy Client for Over 10 Years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher D. | Senior Director of Digital Communications and Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook makes it very easy to build and maintain a quality event app for our participants. We use it for three major events each year. Since a lot of the app's content can be uploaded via spreadsheets, editing similar events in future years becomes easier. You can also copy a previous event's guide so you're not starting from scratch each time.

Although we have considered it, we don't use any of Guidebook's integrations, such as with our AMS, so implementation was very straightforward. Our account manager has been with the company (and our account) for several years, which is a rarity in this space. While I would like to see some progress on any of the feature requests I have made over the years, their customer support when I do experience an actual issue has always been timely and effective.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

With ease of use comes simplification. The app can feel templated, and it can be limiting in how you build it out. You have to learn how to workaround the app's limitations to deliver certain things to your participants. I imagine this would be the same for any event app that doesn't involve custom development.

My biggest gripe (that I have shared with Guidebook on multiple occasions) is that you can only fully edit the app on a computer. From within the app, admins have very limited editing capabilities, and for some reason, they fully block access to their online editor on mobile devices. This can be frustrating when you need to make a quick edit on-site at an event, and you need to run to a computer instead of using the phone you have on you. It's particularly frustrating because it was obviously a choice they made to do this, and it's one they can easily choose to undo but haven't.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to offer a full printed program, a slimmer schedule-at-a-glance, and a folder filled with other printed resources. We then transitioned to also offering an event app. Over time, we were able to stop printing any conference materials all together. Everything lives in the app, and unlike print materials, it's always up-to-date. We now have over 95% event app usage at our events (and some of the non-users are outside speakers who have no interest in attending other sessions).

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Guidebook has been a valuable tool for your events over the past 10 years. We appreciate your positive comments on the ease of building and maintaining event apps, as well as the efficiency of content uploading via spreadsheets.

We understand your concerns about the limitations of the app's editing capabilities and the inconvenience of not being able to fully edit on mobile devices. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will certainly take it into consideration for future improvements.

We're glad to hear that Guidebook has helped streamline your event planning process and reduce the need for printed materials. We look forward to continuing to support your events and will follow up on your feature requests. Thank you for being a loyal Guidebook user!

  ### 28. Great for Career Fairs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa C. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook has helped move away from paper maps for our Career expos. It allows students to see employers that are attending and access their websites and company information all in one spot.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The only downside is the cost of continuing to use the app each year.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook is eliminating paper and allowing us to make changes in real time to our events. It helps us make last minute changes when an employer backs out or changes locations.

  ### 29. Great, out-of-the-box event app!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Associate Director Of Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

This tool has helped us eliminate SO MUCH PAPER with printed programs for a variety of events. We love that it is helping us meet our sustainability goals and it saves the design team SO many hours of late stage updates for event programming for our partners on campus. We designed the initally branding for the app and our campus partners use the app in the back-end themselves.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

It's fairly expensive. Also, for those event attendees who do not have a smartphone or are technically unskilled, it would be great if there was an easy back-end way to live print event programs

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we didn't have Guidebook, we would have to set-up/build our own landing pages, promotional pages on our website, and other back-end giving systems which would put a bigger strain on our operations team. We also would need to print and design event programs again which takes a lot of time and always results in late-stage edits for event schedules, programming, etc.

  ### 30. All in one platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik J. | Assistant Director - Ignite Summer Launch Program, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I run a summer bridge program at the collegiate level and use Guidebook as a one stop shop to aid in acclimating these new students to our community. From event registration, to banner ads, FAQ's, and more, we truly rely on Guidebook in being the one place our students can go for everything they need to know to be successful. New students are constantly bombarded with new emails, list servs, sign-ups and more. So, having one place our students can go to learn everything is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Each year, we tend to have some kind of technical issue that involves our students logging out and logging back into their account. While that might seem like an easy solution, I have 500 students and getting them all to do that is not realistic. We heavilty use the QR scanner for event check-in to track attendance/data and last year that malfunctioned to the point where we had to use paper sign-ups and manually add attendance to each event. I wish any backend updates the Guidebook tech team needs to make don't have major impacts on our usability, but that they would also communicate in advance what needs to be done and how it might impact our day to day use of Guidebook in advance rather than me scrambling to find a solution in the moment.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot! Event marketing and RSVP's/attendance tracking. We're able to use Guidebook to send push notifications about events. We're able to include a ton of helpful information about things new students need to know like course registration, student athletic event tickets, tutoring and literally dozens more. It allows us to not have to use multiple platforms to communiate with students. The less students need to log in to, or check, the more likely my program is to be successful.

  ### 31. Guidebook for new student orientation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

While using the Guidebook App, I found that Guidebook allowed me to easily customize our program by adding our schedule, campus maps, resources, and specific infomartion that is unique to our univeristy. It was super customizable with the help of the wonderful staff support that was extremely responsive! The app allowed us to make real-time updates and send notifications to the community, ensuring our participants were notificed of any changes or updates. With the help of the roll over option from the previous year's data, it made uploading infomration fast and eay for our small staff.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The App istelf seemd relatively easy to use and our participants loved having it at their fingertips. We did experience a small glitch on our opeing day where people were unable to access guidebook for a period of time. The resspnse time with customer service and our representative was extremely quick and helpful! The error was not their fault, it was an Apple issue.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- sustainabling on an island - we live next to the water, so having paper is an issue.
- easy access to all information.
- easy to update and change on the fly.
- sharing the schedule to multiple people across the world in advance.

  ### 32. Great Experience with a Great App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

This app is very easy to use, for creators and users

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

We had no problems with Guidebook, all users were very complimentary

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a new app for our annual event that was user-friendly and allowed some interaction. Love the photo sharing feature!

  ### 33. Guidebook success for Teal Nation Orientation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ty H. | Director of Orientation, Transition & Family Programs, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Easily accessible to navigate! It's the best for all ages to be able to use!

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I wish that I could customize the app color to be Teal inside for the program color to match our school

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to easily share the campus with campus partners and make updates in real time. Additionally providing a resource at the palm of someone's hands for our students and their guests.

  ### 34. It's very user-friendly for sharing important information and to collaborate with others.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I appreciate how, as an admin, I can easily create and edit items within the application from both my desktop and mobile devices, allowing me to make real-time changes effortlessly. Additionally, I enjoy how we can creatively customize it to visually engage our audience. With my program, it also makes very easy for our students to use everyday and interact with other peers and connect.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

At the moment, I don't have any concerns; my experience has been excellent so far.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook has significantly benefited our program by giving students greater access to various summer activities. With this app, students can easily view event details, including locations, Zoom links, descriptions, timeframes, calendar holds, and opportunities to provide feedback

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Guidebook has been so user-friendly and beneficial for your program! It's great to know that you appreciate the ease of creating and editing items, as well as the customization options. We're glad to hear that it has made it easier for your students to interact and connect with their peers. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!

  ### 35. Easy manage and user experience!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I really like the manage-end of Guidebook. The ease of uploading all of my events at one time and being able to edit easily in real time takes the stress out of the management of events with many moving parts. I also like that you can customize as much or little as you want and the app experience for the user still looks clean and welcoming.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I wish editing in the app was a better process instead of needing to edit in the web browser.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook gives us an easy platform to administer our college orientation programs to ensure that students, volunteers, and staff are all in the know and up to date. It is much easier than email or print communications and digitizing our schedule has been a huge benefit!

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're happy to hear that Guidebook has been helpful for your college orientation programs and has made digitizing your schedule easier. We appreciate your feedback about the editing process, and we will take it into account as we continue to enhance our platform.

  ### 36. Streamline your attendee engagement with this app!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ambe L. | Assistant Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

It is easy to build and navigate. Minimal training is needed, as this app is easy to self teach. The premium version makes it a one-stop shop for all conference related items. We really enjoyed the QR Code Scavenger Hung game feature.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I really can't think of anything. If there is ever a question that arises, our account rep is so fast to respond and help!

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminating paper agendas, signage, and physical leg work.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you found Guidebook easy to build and navigate, and that the premium version provided a one-stop shop for all conference-related items. The QR Code Scavenger Hunt game feature is definitely a hit with many of our users!

  ### 37. Easy to Use Guides for All

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elton T. | Director of First Year Programs, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I liked the ability to edit and customize the guide to my specific needs the most. Using the guide as a year-to-year orientation handbook, it provides easy customization to keep the things that are the same and update the areas that need it. The customer service is also always quick and helps me to fix any issue I have. Guidebook has also stayed on top of the game in integrating other technologies into their platform to cater to the needs of all organizations and a variety of back-end and front facing users

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Guidebook can be pricey, so it may be out of range for some smaller organizations. But for those that can afford it, it has been able to provide valuebeyond our originally intended purpose!

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook is constantly evolving to integrate with other technologies and provide access across a variety of needs and skill levels. They have leveled up their game since COVID and are constantly evolving to produce a better product.

  ### 38. A little difficult to navigate (especially if using once a year) but customer service is exceptional

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandy M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Customer service is fast to respond when I am stuck or things will not upload quickly. I love the push notifications too; very helpful at a conference when a room assignment changes.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Uploading the schedule is ALWAYS an issue for me. I use the template, and I still always have something wrong. The CS rep always finds it and fixes it quickly, but it is so sensitive to the slightest deviation from the control.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The cost of publishing a program got to be so expensive. This is not THAT much cheaper, but it does allow for the inevitable changes in location, time adjustments that occur AFTER you've submitted the document for publication. Plus, there is absolutely no waste, which I appreciate.

  ### 39. Our Organization has used Guidebook for several years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We have used Guidebook for several years. Having researched competing products, Guidebook has the best price and features set available for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The lack of a grid format for attendees to see of our event's schedule would be the only minus I have.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Guidebook to deleiver an electronic version of our event's programming schedule. As the event host a lot of attendees over several days, the app allows us to update everyone to any changes to programming that arises, as well as save money and paper from needing to provide a program book to everyone attending.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your loyalty to Guidebook. We're happy to hear that the app has helped you save money and paper while keeping attendees updated on event programming. We'll take note of your request for a grid format for the schedule.

  ### 40. Using as a Welcome app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

That it is easy to edit in the back end of the system. This makes it simple to work with.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

That not elements are available on the desktop version of it, only the app version.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to communicate all Welcome to King's events to all new students and supply them with other essential information. This is good because it allows us to provide new students with all resources they need and have the best start to university.

  ### 41. Good, once you know what you are doing.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela A. | Meeting Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

That once you have done it once it is a lot easier to do it again. It is very intuitive and the spreadsheet upload is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

If you have a guide within guidebook explaining it to your attendees especially the older ones can be difficult.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helpful that we have a rep dedicated with guidebook for any questions that come up

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Guidebook intuitive and that the spreadsheet upload feature is helpful. We understand that explaining the app to older attendees can be a challenge, and we're constantly working to improve the user experience for all age groups.

  ### 42. Guidebook just keeps getting better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob S. | Senior Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Our conference schedule, personal schedule, and sync-ing with my calendar all worked seamlessly. Great app.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I would like to have the contacts section work so that I could connect with anyone registered for the conference, not just those on my contacts list or even those who have the app already. Like have it send an invite via email to any registered attendee who hasn't downloaded the app yet, but who has a message waiting.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The app lets us put the program out at a fraction of the cost of a printed program. Updates, speaker bios, everything is more accessible.

  ### 43. Great for School

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashika M. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I like the guidebook can be downloaded to your phone and it is easy for a user to get quick information. Anytime we had a question our support team has been there to help guide us. I have built about 4 guidebooks for my team and it's been a breeze each time. It has been easy to use each time.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There is nothing so far. It's been really easy to build and use.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/a

  ### 44. Software was fine but not very cost-effective for non=profits

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We got Guidebook the mobile app of choice through another software that integrated into our membership database with a single sign-on, so the process to set everything up was seamless. It was user-friendly and the features and layout options were great.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

For a Canadian non-profit association with only one event per year, it's quite costly. And while this issue is not Guidebook's fault, we didn't receive much training and had to rely on staff from our other software company to change things within the app for us, which wasn't always helpful if it was time-sensitive. If you have the budget, though, I'd recommend it.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We really only used it as an onsite event app, so it wasn't a problem-solving tool so much as a guide for registered delegates. In that respect, it worked well overall.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We appreciate that pricing is always a key issue for all customers especially non-profits like yourself.

We have recently reviewed our pricing and introduced a new pricing structure that we hope helps organizations like yours to get the best value possible. Also, please do get in contact, as I think we will be able to support pricing with some meaningful discussion and we'd love to continue working with you.

  ### 45. Guidebook Review for Company Conference

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

I like the ease of setting up a guide and having the ability to use an existing guide to create a guide for the next conference.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

The main downside for my organization is getting everyone attending to engage with our guide.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guidebook has made it possible for us to put the main agenda for our attendees in one place with added descriptions and other pertinent information about our event. It is also another avenue that our attendees can have at their fingertips if they add the app to their phones for real-time updates.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We appreciate your positive comments about Guidebook's ease of use and its ability to centralize event information. We understand the importance of attendee engagement and are actively working on features to improve this aspect for a better user experience.

  ### 46. The helpdesk is responsive, and very helpful. In addition, the tool itself is extremely easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

The onboarding team did a great job of teaching the ins and outs of the tool, and the helpdesk is there with answers when you run into roadblocks. In addition, the tool is very user friendly, and easy to navigate. The look on the end user is very clean and easy to understand, and delivers a very user-friendly experience.

We had tried several app companies before, spending more money in some cases, and couldn't get the result we wanted. We got that with Guidebook.

Rollout for our customers and members was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

There are a few aspects that are still in developent, but I view that as a positive, since they're at least working to add the services not currently in place.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an effective way to communicate with attendees of our two very different conventions. Guidebook made that happen for us.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> We're thrilled to hear that our onboarding team and helpdesk were able to provide you with the support you needed. We're constantly working to improve our services, and we appreciate your feedback on the aspects still in development.

  ### 47. Excellent all in one guide

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Manager Events, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

As a conference organiser I have found Guidebook to be reasonably priced and comprehensively featured guide. Delegates have also commented that the guide was easy to use and navigate.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I have found Guidebook to cover all our requirements.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All in one go to app for degegates to network and gain information regarding our conferences.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad to hear that Guidebook has met all your requirements and has been beneficial for your conferences. We appreciate your support!

  ### 48. Going digital made easier by Guidebook

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We used to have a physical program book, but after Guidebook, we are completely digital. Guidebook has made it so easy to have all meeting information in one app for attendees. We have sudden changes in schedule sometimes and having a digital app makes it easy to update information on the go, to ensure attendees have the latest information. We use Guidebook twice a year for our meetings. Customer support is available but we don't really run into much issues to need 24/7 support from Guidebook. However, we do get quick responses when we need it. It's so easy to implement our schedules and forms into this app. We haven't used too much app integrations on the app so I can't speak on the ease of integration.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

I do not have much complaints with Guidebook. However, we did one into an error once with the app not updating after saving the information. We also wish there was an easier way to integrate lead retrieval in the app.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is not much problems we need solved.

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your positive review of Guidebook! We're glad to hear that our app has made it easier for you to go digital and have all your meeting information in one place. We understand the importance of having the ability to update information on the go, especially when there are sudden changes in schedule.

We apologize for the error you encountered with the app not updating after saving information. Our team is constantly working to improve the app and we appreciate your feedback. Regarding lead retrieval integration, we understand the importance of this feature and it's something we are looking at/working on.

If you ever have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing Guidebook for your meetings!

  ### 49. Guidebook does what it does best

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

Guidebook doesn't try to be an entire event management system. Anyone who does seems to fail in one area or another. What Guidebook does best is choose its strengths and really gets those right. Its an easy to use application, both from the development and user side. Its universally available and recognizeable, and it works. It simply works! For event scheduling, interactive maps, and the ability to link everything together, you can seamlessly move between items or speakers or events and get the info you need.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

Guidebook doesn't offer easy media integration into its items. Using very basic markup, there's some limitation where adding images in-line would really make list items stand out.

The adoption rate is difficult, especially with people not wanting "another app" on their phone. Once people get used to it, it seems to be easier, but the initial hurdle is tough.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our paper program was expensive and required a lot of lead time, causing much information to be wrong by the time the event occurs.

  ### 50. Guidebook was PERFECT for our event

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Guidebook?**

We used Guidebook last year for our small conference and it was perfect. No issues activiating and using the app when it was live.

**What do you dislike about Guidebook?**

This year it looks like the pricing has changed so the activation piece isn't as smooth as it was for ours this year.

**What problems is Guidebook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting all our schedule, sponsor, and digital content into the hands of our attendees

**Official Response from Nathan Meyer:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Guidebook was perfect for your event last year.

We appreciate your input and will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements. We're glad that Guidebook has been able to help you put all your event information into the hands of your attendees. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the activation process, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We're here to help make your event a success!
