Recommendations to others considering Groupboard:
Although it does have printing capability, there are no social media sharing options currently for Groupboard. Even the actual image itself is saved on the company's server. While this can be circumvented by taking a screenshot of your white board and saving it manually, the option to save and share is a feature many like to have. What problems is Groupboard solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using the whiteboard number that is available upon its creation, the webpage coding, mobile devices, and controls using the actual Groupboard.com website allows everyone to be able to utilize the board. Regardless of personal devices, nearly anyone can join in the collaboration.
Images can be set within the background and used as a method of sharing ideas. The background can also be added for aesthetics and can not be deleted by any means except for replacing the actual background image. Regardless of how much one draws on the image, it remains unaffected and stationary.
Once a whiteboard is set up for the first time, Groupboard provides the link in which you can use to share with others. This link can be added to anything from emails to message boards.
Each whiteboard can be saved as an image once the collaboration is completed. The total number of these saved images is dependent on the type of subscription account you have. Free users can save up to 20 images while Enterprise licenses are unlimited. These saved images can then be loaded back into the whiteboard at any given time.
Text chatting is available on Groupboard. These text chats can be to the entire group or private messages can be sent by selecting the user's name.
The whiteboard can be listed as public using Groupboard's categories and search. This is turned off by default, but has possibilities for product and service marketing for businesses.
Whiteboards can have password protection in order to secure a private collaboration. This allows you to add the whiteboard to your website privately by sharing the password with those you want to have access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
