## About Griddle
Griddle offers engineers and scientists both automatic, interactive, and easy-to-use surface meshing and volume grid generation capabilities for FLAC3D, 3DEC, and many other engineering modeling formats, including ABAQUS, ANSYS, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, VRML, and CSV. Griddle is a plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino)\* CAD software, leveraging the powerful CAD tools available in Rhino.

## Griddle Reviews
  ### 1. Quickly create surface meshes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent S. | Chief HR Officer, Government Relations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Griddle?**

I am a engineer and I find that what I like most is that Griddle works well with Rhino. The interactive editing tools also let me fine-tune the mesh to ensure precise and saved me the additional steps of using other meshing program.

**What do you dislike about Griddle?**

It is noteworthy that Griddle seems to have issues with heat distribution, especially on the large and intricate models. In my observation preview, the areas with higher mesh density undergo more heat generation during meshing, resulting in higher inaccuracy.

**What problems is Griddle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Griddle allows me to generate meshes faster and of a higher quality of meshes for my engineering simulations. The integration with Rhino is very strong, and figuring out the parametric interface doesn’t take long; the interactive editing tools give good control over the mesh quality.

  ### 2. Informs compatibility with diverse engineering software programs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lae K. | Tax Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Griddle?**

We like that Griddle is really easy to use, this is something mechanical engineer like myself appreciate. The interactive mesh generation is very convenient for me to generate meshes for complicated shapes, which would take a lot of time if done manually.

**What do you dislike about Griddle?**

Griddle’s heated mesh can occasionally be an issue since it can be a bit uneven in its distribution of heat. At times I have had to use this method and then refine the mesh on certain areas or use other meshing tools for the project.

**What problems is Griddle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Griddle has made it easy to go through my pre-processing for simulations. Mesher and off-design modes are both very fast and intuitive, enabling me to dedicate more time on model preparation and evaluation.

  ### 3. Simples and a bit more complex forms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle C. | Sales Coach, Government Administration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Griddle?**

I particularly like about this tool is its compatibility with existing geometry from Rhino. The automatic options are great for clean simple geometries and the interactive ones provide a lot of control when your shapes become more complex.

**What do you dislike about Griddle?**

I work with composite materials quite often, and Griddle does not work well with them, I have to use another meshing tool. This inconvenient forces me to more to open and read respective document which is not efficient.

**What problems is Griddle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have found Griddle to be a substantial enhancement to my meshing process involving simple and complex shapes. Automatic is helpful and the interactive are useful as allows me to tweak the meshes for more precision.

  ### 4. Improving the methods of creating meshes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron S. | Sales Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Griddle?**

Rhino 3D is also advantageous in that I can move directly from CAD design into meshes within the same program as with Griddle. The meshing and the interactive tools are excellent and allow much control over mesh quality.

**What do you dislike about Griddle?**

For complex geometries, it needs a few alterations to maintain high quality of generated mesh. This may result in poor simulations especially in areas such as Stress concentrations or fluid flow analysis.

**What problems is Griddle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Griddle has enhanced the way I do the meshing for the engineering applications. Rhino integration is very strict that I can complete designs in a short time and check their performance.
