I like GovSpend for its capability to unearth specific contracts and look up various records that help me understand what prospects are involved in. I appreciate that it can go back many years and help uncover potential complications, particularly for school districts. I really value how it lets me separate searches by state and narrow down my search quickly. There just is also a lot of noise, and so it's hard to always distill the most useful information. Maybe some more signals around if there's actually a buying intention or if it's that level of priority where they were looking to invest money to solve these specific problems versus it just was mentioned in a board meeting? I like that GovSpend added an MCP server, which makes it easy to access data that was previously challenging to get through the traditional user interface. The only downside I've noticed is when the data GovSpend receives from institutions comes bundled into a single quantity with a total purchase amount, lacking line item pricing detail. GovSpend is provides a wealth of continuously updated government contracting information. The customer support team set up all my search criteria with me. I know am able to view weekly updates. This has resulted in qualified targets, wins from blind RFQs, and strategic acquisitions.

The platform is not the easiest to use. Its not difficult by any means, there is just a lot of information, and a lot of search options. You can see that the UI is thoughtfully designed, it just takes a learning curve. That curve was a barrier to entry for myself, luckily their support team set up my searches and I get what I need with minimal interaction with the platform.
