Govenda has made Board meetings easier and more productive! The interface is easy, intuitive, and provides the one place to go for all things related to our board.

Govenda is very easy to use. During initial implementation they helped us create templates that could be reused. They have 24/7 support and are super responsive to any questions or inquiries we have. The application works across all platforms and is easy to manage as far as uploading documents, users & committees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I've found that we dislike about Govenda is that it does not have its' own built in virtual meeting platform. You can host virtual meetings through Govenda but to do so you need to have your own meeting platform for screen sharing and conference calls. Since Covid started we use Govenda along with another app so everything is not exclusively in Govenda for meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Govenda has been easy to implement, and our Board members have embraced the new technology. Our meetings are more streamlined and meaningful with improved accessibility. It is exciting that we no longer have paper board books that were hundreds of pages long. Participants can make notes to themselves for questions later, and they can make notes that are public to the meeting attendees to prompt discussion. Annotations assist with making sure the board members can follow along with the conversation easily. The opportunity for the board members to view documents as they are uploaded instead of waiting for a board book has provided the ability for the board to have more time to review the information, so they are well prepared for any decisions or votes. The new dashboard for administrative users is a fantastic feature. It puts all the info I need into one place to track and review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn't anything I dislike about Govenda! If I was asked for a suggestion, I would say that I would like the formatting of the Meeting Minutes text to work a little better, but I have managed to accomplish what I need. It works a lot like MS Word, but there seem to be a couple of glitches when you import the agenda as a starting point for developing the Meeting Minutes document. The ease of use in putting together a schedule, and board book materials is excellent. The permission setting on documents is also exellent and easy. People see what they need and don't what they shouldn't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When drafting an agenda in Word, Govenda allows the direct import but lines like headers or titles are improperly formatted. You can't just take a document as you would print it and import it in as an agenda without re-formatting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the fact that I can access and read Board documents anywhere. On a laptop or my mobile phone. The fact that I can also read offline is breathtaking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At the moment, I would say that perhaps it would be good for the periodic updates to happen in the background in silent mode. I have noted that sometimes it becomes difficult to continue using the system when they are pending updates. This issue turns to affect meeting starting time as some Board members use the system once every three months; as such, updates installations delays meeting starting times Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like having all the important meetings in one place, with the minutes and agendas to offer history and context as you build new meetings. Having all the board members in one place and being able to designate them to specific communities is great. The vote function for scheduling being built in is also ideal. I don't like that I can't decide what to publish. Our board prefers calendar invites and reminders to come directly from me and might miss the govenda calendar invite, so I end up having to send both invites which can be confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that you can have multiple meetings, committees, and as many users as needed. It is very user friendly from the member side of the screen. I have never used a competitor's so I do not know how it compares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Taking attendance while also trying to take minutes is difficult because you have to have two screens of it open at the same time. Building the agenda can be frustrating because you can import your agenda, but it does not allow you to import the previous attachments with it. This makes it difficult if you roll agenda items up through a cascade of committees because you have to make sure to go back in and add all of the attachments again even though you just did it for the previous meeting. I also do not like the new format so much. It can be helpful and does serve it's purpose, but every time I add a new line on the agenda it automatically drops me to the bottome

of my agendas. If you have large meeting agendas in can be quite annoying to scroll back up to make changes in the section you are working in. Also, when I am in the meeting on my laptop and save the minutes, sometimes I come back to my work computer and the formatting is all off from the laptop to my computer. I like that we can download all documents to a meeting agenda. This allows meeting attendees to view on their computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
