GoFileRoom solves the challenge of managing large volumes of documents across different projects and clients. It provides a centralized location where our team can securely store, organize, and retrieve files without relying on multiple systems. I like how the search and indexing features make it much faster to find documents, saving valuable time. The ability to keep all documents organized in one secure and centralized location is what I like most about GoFileRoom. What I like most about GoFileRoom is its strong focus on security, compliance, and audit readiness—all critical for B2B work in Germany. The platform makes GDPR-compliant document storage, access logging, and retention policies extremely straightforward, so we never worry about audit risks. I also really appreciate how stable and reliable the system is; we use it daily for sensitive client documents and have almost never faced downtime, sync issues, or data loss. I find the search functionality could be more powerful—especially for full-text search inside PDFs or older documents. Sometimes we have to navigate folders manually instead of relying only on search, which reduces efficiency. The search functionality in GoFileRoom is functional for basic filename searches, but it falls short when we need to find information inside actual documents. Full-text search often fails to pick up keywords inside older PDFs, scanned documents, or even some Word files. We’ll search for something specific, and the system either doesn’t return it or gives unrelated results, making us browse folders manually. The filtering options are limited too; we can’t refine searches by document type, upload date, client name, who last edited, or folder location all at once, which is a weakness for compliance. I primarily use GoFileRoom for client document management and secure file sharing. I love that everything is stored in a centralized cloud-based system with logical client folders. The streamlined collaboration feature is a big plus, allowing us to easily share files with clients through a secure portal instead of unencrypted email. Most clients upload and download directly to an encrypted password-protected portal, which helps a lot with sending sensitive tax return, financial statement, or legal documents securely.
