What I like most about Formstack forms is how easy it is to create and publish forms without any coding. I can build a form quickly using drag and drop and start collecting responses in minutes. The form builder is clean and simpler. Fields are easy to add, remove, or rearrange, and everything feels logical even for first-time users. I also like the flexibility in form design. I can customize colors, fonts, and layouts so the form matches the brand instead of looking generic. Formstack handles complex form logic very well. Conditional fields, calculations, and required validation can be added without much effort. Another strong point is integration. Formstack connects smoothly with CRMs, email tools, and internal systems, which saves a lot of manual work. The submission management is well organized. One downside is the pricing. For small teams or simple use cases, it can feel expensive compared to basic form tools. I use Formstack Forms at least weekly, and often multiple times per week. I love that we can add as much logic as needed to each form. My company has some really long, complex forms, and it's great that I can hide sections and fields as needed to prevent team members from having to put "N/A" as a response hundreds of times. The email automation is a big plus - it is easy to update settings to include the submitters manager/director on the submissions. This prevents the admin support team from having to manually forward responses to the appropriate manager. Form permissions are also great. It is nice that we have the flexibility to choose which folders our admins have access to. This allows admins throughout the company to edit their forms as needed which still protecting sensitive information provided on responses to HR, security, and accounting forms. When building forms in Formstack, I wish that the build panel was bigger. Sometimes it can be hard to see what items exist when the build panel is so small. When building a form, I think it would be more valuable to see more of the build panel (like logic, field name, drop-down options, etc.) than more of the form preview which currently takes up most of the screen.

I wish that there were more safeguards in place for errors that may occur when a field is deleted from a form. For example, we have an HR form that sends submission info via email if a certain item from a drop-down box is selected. The item was renamed last year, and the item name was not automatically updated in email settings. This resulted in several submissions being missed as no notification was sent. Integration options. One drive, drop box, zapier, web plugins, all of this is what we use on daily basis with Formstack, very easy to implement changes without stopping services.

Support is great. Not the we needed a lot but at one instance we had it was very smooth interaction and good experience.

I like how simple it is to review multiple forms and data from them on the portal. I really enjoy how easy it is to see simple analytics based on how the form was either submitted or left blank.

Late last year an update was pushed out that made the embedding of forms unstable.

Overnight it seemed that dozens of our forms embedded on websites broke when viewed on mobile or smaller screens. It looks like the form has a forced width on every viewing size. Before I enjoyed how dynamic the forms performed, now we must use a workaround to make it work.

Lastly, when we tried to add UTM parameters into a hidden field it was erased once someone filled out a form. I am pretty disappointed with how we can no longer use this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that Formstack Forms has been a steady process for us collecting information from varying teams. We use it departmentally, from PTO requests to equipment orders and it’s held up even with the busiest of times. I particularly like how the approval routing is automatic and will send forms to the right person without us having to hand them off manually. What I dislike about Formstack Forms is that sometimes it takes Forms a long time to update when we need to edit the bulk of them. If we have ten forms and we need to perform the same change on all of them, the process becomes tiring and tedious. It has slowed us down while we’re auditing during an audit or though a company wide update, and we haven’t been able to keep up consistency with all our processes.
