Files.com Reviews & Product Details

I like using Files.com for securely moving files over a secure platform, which allows me to share files without worrying about data being compromised. I appreciate the ease of use from their site, as it lets me easily upload files and share them with anyone without any issues. The initial setup was super easy and fast, which is really helpful. Overall, Files.com has proven to be very valuable and reliable for my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There could be more features or ways to share files. I would like stronger authentication protocols and maybe a desktop version or on-prem to integrate with my servers/software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the security features of Files.com. They are very good and allow me to securely share files with my colleagues or vendors. It's easy to use, which was great during the initial setup. We switched from Google Drive mainly for security reasons, and Files.com has been more secure for us. It should have more user access management like limited access to my teammates to access files—something like this. And this is not a big problem, but at the same time, currently, AI is booming everywhere. I think, like, Files.com should have an integration with one of the AI platforms outside, like OpenAI or claude. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The product has been “great” for our company and meets our needs in many ways. We’re able to automate file processing and provide a secure platform for sharing files with both internal and external entities. It is HIPAA compliant, which is extremely important to our organization. The variety of options and integrations also gives us the flexibility to meet both existing and new requirements across all of our customers and partners.

They are very customer-focused and forward-looking. They want to understand what customers are using their products for and explore ways to extend the product to meet current and future needs. They have implemented the requested enhancements and have been very attentive and responsive to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It took us a little time to understand which tool to use for each requirement. Once we understood the model, we were able to quickly build what we needed.

We’d like to see more flexibility around security, auditing, and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Files.com to share secure files rather than sending sensitive data through email. I really like the ease of use and the ability to leverage the flexibility that it offers. It integrates seamlessly with a variety of different applications, including Google Cloud and other SaaS tools, which can be set up and configured in minutes rather than hours. The ability to share files securely with a unique link offers a lot of flexibility, and integrating Files.com with DUO for MFA ensures an extra layer of security. The setup was easy and seamless. I'd like Files.com to offer more advanced file sorting options. This would allow me to keep folders and files more organized. I'd like to be able to drag and drop files and sort by specific file types, names, and dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the UI and simplicity of the product site on Files.com, which allows our users to quickly pick up the platform and be the most efficient they can in their jobs. I appreciate the newly announced innovation of expectations, which will allow us to be proactive on unsent file errors rather than reactive. The platform provides a secure, effective, and concise location to safely share files. The initial setup was efficient, and we had assistance along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We would like for the group admin to have the ability to edit, delete, add, etc. users. Right now they can't. Files.com is working with us on adding this feature however. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the security of Files.com. It's definitely the standout feature for me. We've had experiences with other file transfer platforms where bad actors got access to files, but with Files.com, it's very secure, almost enterprise-level. This helps us keep everything safe between us and our clients, which is crucial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the things that are probably the most difficult for us are the fact that it can be a little cumbersome to get everybody set up, a lot of work to do there. The biggest issue has been with the user management. But like I said, it looks like they've really improved that significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use: The application is easy to navigate, and users can efficiently find what they need. Like other file applications, it offers an intuitive user interface that makes tasks quick to complete. It’s also affordable for our organization, delivers robust performance, and is straightforward to manage from an admin perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Although the user interface is easy to navigate, the page doesn’t offer much in terms of color or theme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like all other cloud sharing services once you have a TON of data there the company will jack up your pricing to unrealistic prices. We've moved to implementing our own cloud as every single provider has done this to us after a year or two or three (max). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once you go into renewals the folks there are pretty hard to deal with. No breaks, give us more money. I'd shy away from these types of services and pay the money to implement your sharepoint or other internal cloud solutions. You will save money in the long run and not have to worry about your data being held hostage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Files.com to be very intuitive and easy to use. It provides many features not found in their competitors. They seamlessly offer FTP and SFTP services, which allow us to securely share files with other businesses and organizations. The initial setup of Files.com was very easy, and we didn't require any assistance from their technical support. We were able to handle everything ourselves in-house. I don't have much to complain about. It works very well for us. The only thing I could think of is if they expanded their cloud offering to include becoming a replacement for on-premise file servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the stability of the Files.com platform, which ensures on-time delivery of our data. The ease of use is another huge benefit as it makes onboarding simpler and decreases the time to market, while also simplifying the staffing model for my technology teams. I also appreciate the agility of the engineering team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would love to see additional abstraction around recipients/users where they self manage their communication profiles. If they switch to Google from Amazon this would allow them to self service and cutover at their own pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
