**What do you like best about FactoryTalk Linx?**

Never had a bug in data transfer from the controller

**What do you dislike about FactoryTalk Linx?**

Not much to dislike as the application is part of the overall Factory Talk view package and is used for data transfer from the controller.

**Recommendations to others considering FactoryTalk Linx:**

The application is part of the overall Factory Talk view package and can be used in case of data logging applications using Rockwell DCS.

**What problems is FactoryTalk Linx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The data transfer from the controller to the historian server.

**What do you like best about FactoryTalk Linx?**

It is very handy for showing all connected devices on your network. As long as your communication driver is setup it should automatically recognize anything attached to the network. The software comes with either Studio 5000, Studio or Micrologix suite softwares. 

**What do you dislike about FactoryTalk Linx?**

It is a little harder to set up legacy devices with this. It isn't the most user friendly. It takes a long time to start up sometimes, freezes often. If you don't have RSLinx open and you try to connect directly from Micrologix, it will freeze for a while. This only happens on the first time you try to connect to anything. 

**What problems is FactoryTalk Linx solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RSlinx helps you locate any unconfigured devices on your network. It is very handy if your controller has a different IP address and you are trying to figure out where it is.
