The USP of EQuIS is its access to the database schema; EQuIS professional gives you the option to store and manage data as per your need. EQuIS enterprise has some basic functions to upload and retrieve data for ordinary users. The user interface for EQuIS professionals is so basic that it is like comparing analog to digital. When compared to other online platforms like LOCUS, EQuIS enterprise and professional has a lot of work to do in improving their UI. There are limited options for plugins that restrict its connectivity with other software. What attracted me to the software was the ease of use. This software also has a lot of good features that are great for someone who isn't looking for a huge, cumbersome program with so many bells and whistles that it becomes overwhelming. Throughout my use I had noticed some glitches in the software which could be partly the fault of my desktop computer's system. I also found that some of the errors retrieved when the data was run through EDP and when uploading the data for submittal weren't easy to solve. It required contacting Earthsoft's Support.
