It is very difficult to decide what I like "Best" about the flex platform. I will say that it is very aptly named. I have used numerous EHS platforms in the past that make you conform to their design. The Flex platform is very useful in the fact that you can design it in numerous areas to do what you want and need to be successful in your goals for compliance, internal audits, accountability, resource availability, and many more features. There aren't many things. One change that was made recently I don't care for is the filtering of Assets. I prefer the previous iteration. I hope that this is not the direction that all filtering options will go, ex: Employees page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we can create any type of form to collect information based on different client requirements. It also allows us to store and manage required training by contact, helping ensure everyone stays compliant and ready to work across different customer specifications. I would like to see improvements in a few areas. For example, it would be very helpful if the QR scanner worked directly from iPads, since we use them for safety meetings and attendance tracking. I would also like more flexibility in form design, such as the ability to create spreadsheet-style tables for things like timesheets. Additionally, it would be useful to attach files directly to employee profiles instead of having to create separate trainings or requirements. What I particularly like is how easy the system makes it to edit forms and upload large amounts of data, allowing information to be entered quickly for large groups. The form layout is very intuitive and self‑explanatory. Additionally, the ability to schedule reports to be automatically sent to designated users eliminates the need to manually run reports on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One concern I have is that the dashboard does not provide the level of detail needed to effectively manage and analyze the metrics. Certain response fields do not allow date entries, such as for follow‑ups or calendar tracking. Additionally, when pulling responses, the data must be manually added to the column fields each time, as those selections do not save.

Another challenge my team has identified is the inability to have multiple forms open and in progress at the same time. This functionality would be especially helpful when managing multiple ongoing audits concurrently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'd say that the best feature of KPA EHS is that you can easily report off submitted forms. We have various scheduled reports that send out automatically to higher-level management without us having to lift a finger. There isn’t much I dislike about KPA, but like any system, it has a few gaps. I’d really like to see more robust reporting around the companies and projects within the software. Right now, we can filter reports and view results for specific companies or projects, which is helpful. However, it would be even more beneficial if each company and project had its own unique profile where we could see everything it’s tagged in, along with any additional details or context. As an admin on the user side of the system, KPA Flex allows for more customization and creation of company specific trainings, forms, equipment, inspections, etc. The support from our Client Success Manager not only teaches us how to use more features in the system, but quickly addresses any concerns we may have. New features are available often but I think the testing phase is lacking. Many of the new features have bugs or incompatibilities that need to be resolved. A more in depth beta testing with actual users would allow for better development before roll out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Flex allows the end user to configure the software how they want. This allows flexibility when building a safety program. Other software has rigidity and makes you conform to their style. I enjoy the software now and only wish there were more IT personnel to create random request that we end users come up with. Like all users, updates and new features are always wanted sooner than later but Novara is great about listening to those wants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Flex has the flexibility and capabilities to meet our company’s needs beyond safety, and it made the transition from paper to digital easy. The back office functionality for Admins to build out forms can use some improving. Although I love all the feautures available, it's easy to go down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how to build out a form that meets our needs without overthinking. Updating the permissions for each form that is created can also be very tedious, especially if you're creating multiple forms for a workflow or that will be used as subreports and you're wanting to limit the access of sensitive information to specific groups. I find how user friendly and customizable it is. The more I use the program, the more uses my company has found for it. It is something that is used everyday across our entire company and it relatively easy to implement with project managers, foreman's, and superintendents. The response time of customer support is unmatched. If I ever come across an issue, I normally have an answer by the end of the day. Novara Flex website is slow and a takes a really long time to process from one page to another. Does not matter what internet connection I have, it is always slow. There are also limits on some items that could be enhanced to be more user friendly and create a better platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how fast Novara Flex is, both in load times and in how easy it is to make forms or complete other processes. It's very easy to deliver and track trainings, and it helped us move our old paper forms to an electronic format. The initial setup was very easy, and our Customer Success Manager was great. Perhaps the lack of configurability is what allows it to be so fast, but I do wish there were more tools for myself as an admin. It would be nice to be able to use Dataloads to import form responses or to have more conditional logic options in form creation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
