Intuitive system for grant submission and review **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Aviva V. | Adjunct Faculty, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2022 **What do you like best about e-CImpact?** The navigation portal to search within within written grants, the continuity between submissions, the ability to customize the grant application for grantees, and the ability to compare Grantee applications year over year **What do you dislike about e-CImpact?** When typing in responses or reading responses the blocks are not always intuitive or have enough space. Also, the print teacher does not allow for a compressed easily readable Grant rather it prints as it looks on the screen which is not efficient. **What problems is e-CImpact solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing a grantor to customize a grant application and allow for a large number of potential grantee is to apply easily. Then allowing for easy review and submission ### 2. It also eliminated the headache of dealing with so many copies of grant applications. It has also been great for our agencies since they no longer have to worry about bringing hard copies to us. Everything is handled online. Being able to copy a grant process cuts down on time when setting up the next cycle. **What do you dislike about e-CImpact?** On the flip side, there is a little bit of a learning curve since there are so many options to play with. Since everything is done online, agencies have to keep that in mind to make sure they allow plenty of time for internet outages, etc. Volunteer grant reviewers have to make sure they have internet access as well. There is a fair amount of setup that needs to be done before each grant process. **Recommendations to others considering e-CImpact:** While there is a learning curve, the level of support is unmatched. In addition, the team is always looking for ways to improve the product to make it more user-friendly. **What problems is e-CImpact solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to only accept hard copies of grants, which required a lot of paper shuffling and copies to administer. WIth e-CImpact, all of that time spent collecting and distributing papers went away. Having everything online has also been an advantage for volunteers that review our grant proposals. The proposals are easily accessible from any device with an internet connection. ### 3. They're on the ball, helpful and human. Many of the staff have experience working with United Ways or city/county government managing funding. They bring awesome expertise. **What do you dislike about e-CImpact?** Nothing is coming to mind. This is the first grant management software I have used. **Recommendations to others considering e-CImpact:** This is a software that you can grow with. We took this in mind when considering the purchase. We are looking to the future of the needs in the community. This software has the capacity. It's also not overwhelming on where to start, they do a great job guiding you. **What problems is e-CImpact solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving issues concerning time-- managing funding can be a paper intensive process, using this software has freed up my time so I can meet with funding recipients one-on-one and talk about their real needs. It's gotten me back in the community.
